I remember seeing and hearing these locomotives working coal trains to Fiddler's Ferry Power Station in the 1980s. They were always coupled nose to nose in pairs. The sound of that whistling Napier turbocharger always brings back memories for me.
Before the introduction of the Class 60, we used to work coal trains out of Liverpool Docks with 4xclass 20s pulling 45 HAA's for Fiddlers Ferry power station.
