Bless you both for helping clean the beaches. Great information. Lovely day. You cleaned, Andrew filmed and I'm sure doggie got in some digging. Yummy! A pasty. A wonderful day!💿💿👟👟🐕
Time well spent, these are wonderful people giving up there precious time to keep our beaches clean, so “thank you” for bringing this to our attention, our beaches should never be taken for granted. The pasty looked good Andrew, I though you were a bit mean with your 9 & a half ha ha!! you will have to review another one from. Ann’s to compare - it is a hard job but, look at it this way ‘someone has to do it’ Another lovely video.
Hi Sarah and Andrew, That was an interesting and lovely video. Amazing how much plastic, even tiny pieces get into the ocean. (thought you might spot some sea glass Sarah) About the pasty!..... Sorry Andrew looks more like a 10/10 to me. Just to say, I made pasties last week-end and to save time I cheated by buying a well known chilled pastry. 😲 Disappointingly they didn't come up to pastry made from scratch. Missing Cornwall. Hope we can get there soon. Thanks for keeping us reminded with beautiful videos. The sea especially. Lots of love 💕
Great to know about beach cleaning in Cornwall👏 I do it too in Greece! Particularly Winter time after we've had strong southerly winds and big waves 🌊 crashing up on the beach. Hate to see all sorts of rubbish drawn in the next day. As for all the men's pants being left! 😂🤣 🤔 Pasty did look good🌮
Hi Sarah and Andrew Well done for helping clean up the beach, I always take rubbish home with me on my walks in the Peak District it’s been really bad with litter over this last year, I’m glad Andrew finally got his Pasty thanks for sharing your day with us atb Cheers Glenn 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Love 💕 and enjoyed this video well done on cleaning the beach a great idea to keep the oceans clean and the sea life safe from the rubbish gets in the sea 🌊 thank you sharing this video yes I definitely do my bit to clean the beach I hooked now seeing you Sarah and Andrew . I love a Cornish pasty yes definitely wanted one for my breakfast lol 😂 they delicious you can’t beat a traditional Cornish pasty Andrew . I love Cornwall so beautiful near the Lizard been there in 1986 need to have a lovely holiday next year revisit beautiful memories when I went with my dad no longer with me mum my brother great holiday memories 😊 .Love your sea painting 🖼 picture Sarah looks so beautiful 😍 your so talented Sarah . Can’t wait for the next video you bring out 😊
Well done you 2 for helping clean up the plastic on the beach, we are down in Cornwall next week, just hope the weather plays ball for a walk along Penzance.
Once you're aware of it, it's difficult to switch off from spotting beach plastics, and awful that it'll all end up as harmful microplastics. The best we can do is do our bit on our patch like Carol and Alan. What is it about men's pants...getting everywhere? (honestly guys, please try to keep them on!) Glad you made time for some some lovely fun beachcombing as well Sarah! ~ the beach can be a treasure trove of sea washed gems too! Glad you finally got your Ann's Pasty Andrew ~ very well deserved.
I’ve just been having my “fix” of Cornish Walking Trails and have just watched this video which I managed to miss last month. I love Poldhu Cove but we haven’t been down as far as the Lizard for a couple of years as the M5 has just been hell since the pandemic with every man and his dog on staycation. I used to visit Lizard at least once a year and I miss it like mad. I’m pleased to see Ann’s pasties has expanded to make use of the previous mini market shop premises in the square. Like you, every time I used to get to Lizard village, usually after doing the coastal path from Kennack Sands, I’d find the old pasty shop shut! Good to see Andrew finally managed to sample one and lovely to see Ann’s pasties is expanding and thriving. xx
LoL Can't mistake droppage face! Pooch patiently waits for the great inevitable as Andrew digs in. Someday I'll get my pasty, too. Gratitude to you and folks everywhere addressing ever-increasing amounts of plastic in Earth's ecosystem. Demand better from manufacturers, ultimately phasing plastics out altogether. Through your beach found bits & bobs, collectors of your amazing art possess a wee tangible piece of the coast being depicted.🏖
Hi! Found you on Instagram, now on UA-cam 👍. I lived in Cornwall through my teenage years, home in Mullion, school in Helston, college in Pool. Poldhu and Pollurian were our local beaches 😊 I worked in Poldhu beach cafe during summer hols! Lovely to see the cleaning up. Anne's Pasties are the very best in Cornwall 👍 last time I had one they were still in the garage. Locals ring in the morning and pre order 😉
Great video, thanks Sarah and Andrew! Beach cleaning is such a good and interesting thing to do. Best thing I found on a beach clean (Seaton Beach, nr Downderry) was 3 unopened cans of Stella! Weirdest thing (north end of Perranporth Beach) a washed-up inflatable doll. The pasty looks delicious from 1,000s of miles away, and lovely bit of art at the end, Sarah.
Yep great feeling and very satisfying cleaning up. We were Woodland Volunteers for over 2 years. Cleaning up rubbish and woodland maintenance, coppicing etc. But found it demoralizing as within short periods it was as bad again. On one day I picked up a bucket full of used needles. Also human pooh which we diluted down with what was left in beer cans and bottles. That way it would dissolve into the ground. Covered in leaves. Etc. Additional things were homeless people and at least suicide. Around 1 person each year found hanged in the woods. When we were told we may need to have stab jackets and go around in groups we gave up being volunteers. Never pick up rubbish bare hands. Sharps etc..Cheers from old George and Jane
I always spend a day at Poldhu on my annual visit to Cornwall. Thanks to all involved for keeping it clean. I’ll do my bit the next time that I am down there. Great video.
Hi Sarah and Andrew. Glad you got you pastie finally. Great vlog about beach cleaning. I think if everyone is responsible for leaving the beach as they find it, it would go along way to helping the growing problem but unfortunaly not everyone is like that. I grew up being taught if you go one the beach or in the countryside leave it as you find it and I taught my daughter that too. Now she is teaching her children's even if they see rubbish which is not theirs they put it in Thier rubbish bag. As they say every little bit helps. Marie
Seems we have a lot in common Sarah! Just been doing the very same thing over the weekend but in Norfolk....lots of plastic green rope on the beaches there . We went up to see the Seals who come at this time of the year to have their pups. Wonderful sight to watch them & hear them.....but not the amount of beach litter that you find. It's everywhere though either swept in by the sea or left by day trippers. In Kent too. Always come back with a bag of unmentionables from walking on the beaches in Kent. Luckily in Norfolk they have a charity who looks after the welfare of the Seals & the beaches were reasonably clear this time. J x
Hi Judy, I love the sound of the seals as they chat away to each other! We were bemused by it the first time we heard it, almost like a cow in pain! Sarah :)
Another brilliant video, so interesting and entertaining, we passed Poldhu cove on a walk this year and it just makes me wish we were still there, i love the Lizard peninsula and am now yearning for a genuine Cornish pasty, hard to come by in the Midlands. Your videos seem to be getting more professional and entertaining as the weeks go by, well done for highlighting the beach littering, we have similar littering issues here but sadly the surroundings are very much less inspiring. You dog is so patient waiting for his treats, i know one just the same !
What a wonderful and useful way to pass a few hours beach cleaning on a glorious day, this lovely lady Carol and the gentleman should be given an award for services to their community, and I bet they aren’t just fine weather volunteers either, and the rest of the beach cleaners should get a round of applause 👏 it’s times like this I hate being disabled, I’d much rather be doing something useful! It’s scary to think by 2035 there will be more plastic in the sea than fish! at last Andrew got his delicious looking pastie despite the dropage but at least furry friend had some lunch, so I would say 10 out of 10. It made me feel so hungry I had to raid the pantry but couldn’t find anything to compare, the ironic thing is guess what I have in mind for my lunch ‘Salmon’ 🥺 thank you 🙏 Sarah and Andrew for another interesting day at the seaside “👌” p.s. did you find any sea glass amongst the debris Sarah! 🤔
Well done to these lovely people! Imagine how bad our beaches would be without them! It would be even better if people took their trash home and stop being so lazy ! It doesn’t help that you see less and less bins about ! Plastic is a modern evil! When I was a kid it was paper bags and glass bottles! And fisherman must try and do better! We are our own worst enemy! But well done all beach pickers 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
One thing I forgot to mention is finding a grave someone had dug in the woods. Its normally a pet grave but police have to be called to investigate. They dig it up just to confirm that it's not a person etc. Total waste of time etc. Cheers from old George Ps I may do a video on the subject. But on woodland as beaches are different. Ps notice hand rummaging rubbish. Sharps means a blood test afterwards.
Hi Guys, definitely going to get one of those beach clean reusable bags 👌. It's quite depressing when you see such tiny pieces of plastic in just a handful of sand...makes you wonder just how much is out there...so worrying 😔. Great to see you out there doing your bit though, and wow..that pasty looked goooood 😋😁💝😘
Nice video again. Well after trawling through your vids em whilst having a serious case of manflu I've noted the following things are missing Brown Willy a review of a naturist beach and Splits. 😂😂😂😂
If you find a heart while you're cleaning up, it'll be mine! I left it there, many years ago! Many wonderful memories from looking at your videos, thanks! Andrew: Why are you wearing a Detroit, Michigan hat?
You really ate all of that pasty and Sarah ate nothing???? Well done on this vid. Poldhu is near me so nice to see. Great beach. Keep up the relaxing films.
What a wonderful day and congrats on doing a beach clean . I can’t think of a better way to end the day than a Anne’s pasty. Andrew your a bit tight giving it a 9.5 should have been a 10. Can’t find a better pasty in Cornwall and Iv tried many! That’s your challenge :)
Well done,, yes we all have to do our bit,,, [ its a big bit] plastic is one of the worst things ever invented,,, The pastie looks so yummy,, love from Australia oxoxoxoxoxoxo
So long since I've been there. When you're able, get a shot of the Gunwaloe Bell tower which sits over a cave in the hillside. The bell ringers stood in the cave to ring the bells. Hoping to bring my Hawaiian-American grandchildren there soon.
That video was a load of old rubbish!! 😅 Great job, I have done some village litter picks and there is an odd sense of satisfaction and competition for the strangest items. I love hanging out with you guys (virtually). Xx
Another great video from you two. If you want to taste the most amazing sausage roll and tasty pasty. try Gear Farm Pasty Co, St Martin, Helston TR12 6DE. Get there early as they sell out fast!
14.36. I would definitely give Anne's pasties a 10. We go there 3 times a year and they're amazing. If you don't want droppage, take a paper plate with you 😊
Again wonderful video....pity all the rubbish on top the beach can't be scooped up by a bobcat digger or similar but obviously it costs money.... Pasty looked great but as made with butter? sadly not for me, Andrew's face when opened the bag 🤣
One of the cruelest videos you've ever put up, having to watch Andrew scoffing down that huge pasty and all I have is a bag of crisps! Funny too how you never find two shoes the same. Even on the Thames when we've had a bit of a flood you never find two the same or even two the same size.
Bless you both for helping clean the beaches. Great information. Lovely day. You cleaned, Andrew filmed and I'm sure doggie got in some digging. Yummy! A pasty. A wonderful day!💿💿👟👟🐕
That about sums it up! Sarah :)

Useful to know all the good work going into keeping beaches clean. A great watch!
Glad you enjoyed it, Sarah :)
Nice video, thanks Sarah and Andrew.!! ... and beautiful watercolour Sarah!
Thank you! Sarah :)

Men's pants - so funny! Sarah :)
Great film guys and such an important message.

Love it and inspiring!

What a lovely idea! Must admit that we are also 'leave it as you found it' people, and now we are picking up after others! Sarah :)
Well done everybody.......this is what we all have to do now...come on every body...pick up that rubbish!!............

@@CornishWalkingTrails I didn’t think you would miss that opportunity Sarah, well done 👌
I've literally just been making a batch of pasties as I'm watching this, also Sarah's pasties in Looe are really good.
We saw the queue when we were in Looe last, but didn’t have time to wait and try one! It’s in the list! Sarah :)

As far as I know there is nothing like this cleaning-the-beach here in Germany.
Interesting! Sarah :)
Those pasties are nice but more to the point, did the dog enjoy the sausage roll?
That was Andrew's dessert lol!
He sure did - made more mess than Andrew! Sarah :)
Hi Andrew and Sarah we would love you to review a McFaddens pasty from St Just. Love watching your vlogs.
We will pop it on the list! Sarah :)
