I'm anxious. In fact once I get some stuff sorted I'll be getting this. I think E.T. made us all cry. I saw it in theaters. Loved it. I actually met Drew Barrymore some years ago. Girl used to party!
I've just started this build too, looking forwards to following along and picking up some great tips along the way. The type of glue to use was very helpful. atb
This looks awesome. A little bummed that it looks like the Falcon is gone in the US. But, since I wasn't planning on starting that for another 6-7 months, im preparing the videos in my editing software under the assumption that it will be back. Fingers crossed over here in the US.
I saw the fan home promo vid and noticed his finger lights up red but in the movie it was a white or yellow color! Wonder if someone will come up with a mod for that!
I don't know about you Wayne but I did the E.T. sticker book by Paninni. Went through so many repeats and I never did get the last couple of stickers for it. I recognise some of the photos in the magazine from my sticker book - brings back such happy memories. Next stop: 1:1 scale JAWS shark!
I'll watch E.T tomorrow night to confirm, but I think this might be a full scale model. When Wayne put it up to his head to gauge scale, he was comparing it to an adult size head, not a child size head.
I think he is full size as the original movie one maybe slightly smaller but Tills be interesting how he works internally as we get through the build. Looks like it’ll be better then the alien build skin though
Hey Wayne! I’ve been looking for a glue to use on my wife’s 3D crystal puzzles that once dry want change the color or cloud up. Would micro Krystal klear be the glue I might want to use?
MAKING THE CORNEA SMOOTH LIKE THE ORIGINAL ET HAS IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. Maybe IT'S AN "ARTISTIC IDEA" but I find it really very bad. If you can't speak negatively about this thing I can understand you but I don't understand your "I don't" ..
New to all this, Have never subscribed to a build before! Can see it's gonna be pricey, around £1300-1400 but have to do it. So I take it's just a case of paying them the 1.95 for the parts (face + eyes) Then You keep an eye for the 2nd part the following month & then just shoot over payment then. Or can you subscribe to it for direct debit to be sent auto to you every month or when parts are released ? Just not fully sure what I've just subscribed to there.. p.s applied your code mate, taking the total for those 1st parts to £0.05p 😍Thanks For any reply 😃
Yeah, very sadly for me, I stupidly overlooked the fact that after the 1st 3 months you get 6 stages per single month which will total nearly 80 pounds a month. Don't think I'll be able to afford that going forward. Gonna have to cancel my premium subscription right now...If that's easy enough that is ?! @@WorldofWayneUK
@@WorldofWayneUK thanks. I think I will wait to see how you get on with Stage 3 before I carry on, as with mine when I make him look left, the other eye looks straight ahead and vice versa! I would have expected both to be looking in the same direction
Hi, I’m completely new to all this. This is my first partwork. My parts 1 and 2 of E.T. left the warehouse on the 8th of January. The email has no tracking number but says estimated arrival date 12 to 18 days. Where is the warehouse? Is the warehouse not in the UK?
No shade to Fanhome but when I found out what it costs to ultimately build this I bowed out. Much cheaper to watch others build it. I have the "L" firmly planted on my forehead.
While that's totally fine, don't lose the forest for the trees. Yes, in the end, you'll be spending 4 figures for a model. But it's billed over time, and at the end you will wind up with an amazing model that you won't find in any store. If you're looking for a kind of subscription box that gives you something to do every month, this isn't a bad way to go, honestly.
@@bollywayne14 If you go the Premium route, you'll be into it for over $1,940 and it'll take you 20 months to get it all done. Way too rich for my blood, which is why I live vicariously through the World of Wayne. E.T., K.I.T.T., Ecto 1, the BTTF DeLorean, R2-D2, even the Alien -- I enjoy watching them all and following how the builds are done. Saves me a bunch of space in my apartment, too.
@@MrTamiya89 I was just asked as I didn’t know weather there some agree with the part works he deals with. It’s really good that he’s allowed to keep them all.

Ordering this in the morning
You kept this build under your belt 🦘🇦🇺❤️👍
Looks like another great retro build in the making
I've just started this build too, looking forwards to following along and picking up some great tips along the way. The type of glue to use was very helpful. atb
That was such a good movie I enjoyed watching this movie. E.T. magnificent from outer space. E.T. phone home. ❤❤😊😀😁🤩👍💯
Got mine the other day, seeing the face mask in the flesh makes it the best first issue of any partwork I've done!
You have definitely surprised me with this build, Wayne. You sprung this one on us as a surprise. This looks like it's going to be pretty cool 😎.

It looks amazing. I loved the film, and remember going on the ride at the Universal Studios in Florida many years ago.
Hope this has less magnets and gluing than the aliens build!

I hadnthat stickers book.completed. saying that, back in the 80s , every kid was swapping them in the school playground
OMG, ET used to terrify me as a kid. I love the film, but he still makes me feel uneasy.
However, this is really cool

Man fanhome still has this on preorder here in the u.s but can't wait to get started
A spaceman alien from outer space. I saw that at the autoshow.
I’ve been hassling Fanhome to ship to Australia, so many Fanhome builds I want to do.
Spettacolo 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😊😊😊😊
Very good going to be nice finished.
Great vid 🙏💪🍺💞🐕
I have just ordered the build...don't the eyes hold well together then, because of u glueing them??

Where did you get that V.I.N. cent model in the back? I love it!
It's a 3D print. The files are available from www.patreon.com/ScifiProps?
Awesome! Thank you! I know what I am printing this weekend!! lol

Full sized Cylon Centurion please Fanhome
Can't wait to see this build. Wayne, are you going to do the I.S.S space station build?
I am, yes
@WorldofWayneUK Excellent. I probably will as will. Got to find room to display it 1st (an ongoing problem).
awesome video
The worlds second most iconic alien is begun😊
I have all kinds of hopes, but i'm still worried about how the seams will be hidden on the skin
I'd get this, myself, but I'm broke.

It would but it does take an age to cure
An epoxy, something like araldite would be better for the eyes. Can’t see PVA being very secure.
What is the total all in price for ET once you have all the stages
Most of the models come in around £1300
QUESTION: DO YOU KNOW WHY THEY MADE THE TRANSPARENT PART OF THE EYE WITH A DEPRESSION ON THE IRIS?!?! IT'S HORRIBLE! Grazie
I.dont im afraid

Hey Wayne, just seen agostini are doing the ISS. I don’t often do these but might actually do that one
I'm doing that too
I'm curious to see what the ISS will be like since it is just about the same scale as the Revell ISS
@@BuckmansModelMania oh well that might change everything. Never knew Revell did one. Will look into that. Thanks.
@@WorldofWayneUK any word on how many issues there are in total?

Right now
Wasn't the actual ET about 4' ? Making this model nearly a 1:1 scale?

Hi Wayne. I'm assuming Fanhome don't quote a scale as you just said in the video 'about half scale'.
No but I'm guessing at how big ET is
@@WorldofWayneUK I just had a thought. Guess Elliott's height in the movie and compare ET to him. Half scale sounds about right :)
R2-D2 was about half scale, so it makes sense.
The real puppet was about 3 feet tall, so this falls 10 inches short of that. Not sure what scale that equates to.
@@davidjames1389 2/3 scale.
Size one build, I cannot do scare me in the night lol
How much does this cost in the end?
Lots. Around £1300.00 - £1400.00
How many packs is this build made up of?
Is my Tanya extra thin plastic glue ok for the eyes
No. That will smoke them up.
I might get some pva then
Hi I've tried gluing the eyes, there is a slight gap so mine won't glue.
