Go to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre at opening. It is the place of Christ's burial, and likely a very different experience when quiet. What you experienced was like Notre Dame for me. Too busy. But Chatres was profound.
Terrific video. You hit all the right places, although frankly you could spend a week just in Jerusalem & not see everything. There are many churches too such as the Church of All Nations - 379 AD (you showed the outside). Nazareth also has a lot to see & great food too.
Just returned from Israel and I agree about the Church of the Holy Seplcre. It is very crowded & hard to take in the reverence of the experience. Felt herded in & out like cattle.
We soooo miss the shawarma and falafels!!! It's only been 5 months since we got back, but so looking forward to going back!!! There's just something special about being in the Land. Saving my pennies and miles! So glad you got the chance to experience it. You'll have to take Allie with you next time!
It’s crazy to think how old it all is. It’s a weird feeling. I went to an anthropology museum and on display was Ramses’ mummy, but I knew Ramses was a common name. Looked up the dates and turns out it was THAT Ramses! Like Moses’ “brother”. I still get goose bumps thinking about it.

It's always safe to go to Israel. As an American who has lived in Israel for 12 years I can say it's much safer than America. Right now is holiday season with the High Holidays & Sukkot coming up. If you're gong to be in Israel on Sept. 24-25 that's Yom Kippur & everything will be closed from Sundown to Sundown.
The people who get starstruck by some of these sights, are probably the same people who would slam the door on his face 📖🚪☕️ Matthew 24:14 ~ go and make disciples because John 17:3 ~ this means everlasting life (☕️ ... but that's none of my business 💚)

Enjoy your trip! I recommend getting a guided tour of the Via Dolorosa path if you plan on doing that, because otherwise there's a lot you will miss.

Ramses wasn’t the pharaoh of the exodus just so you know! Evidence suggest strongly of Thutmose. It is very cool though. Thutmose is also mummified
