Welcome back mate. I had the same injury and learning. Had to ditch my "adventure" boots and get MX boots on top of making sure I stop if I need to take my attention from the road. As you said it only takes a second for Murphy to pay a visit 😁
Mate, it's good to see your on the path to a full recovery. I think those self inflicted injuries on a bike are the worse to feel. I know that in my own case, when I fractured my wrist coming off the bike a while back, and it was entirely preventable. You certainly "live and learn" out of an experience like that. You'll probably be back in Tassie with the boys in a year, and by then it will all be a distant memory.
