the way I see this, this looks like it’s just going to age people a lot quicker. that sunken in look doesn’t scream youthfulness to me, I usually see that on elderly people. but to each their own.

I think it's about balance. Too full (with filler perhaps) and it looks unnatural. Too gaunt (ex. aging, this surgery) and it looks bad. I think there's an optimum point where it's just right in the context of all the other facial features.
I think the sunken in look might be a draw for people who prefer the more vampiric look vs the cherub look in that area. Subjectivity of beauty I think of course is another key factor here.

I did the buccal fat surgery to reduce facial rounding around the cheeks. Later I realized it was really the masseter muscle area further back in my face causing the rounding. Something to consider for folks looking at the surgery.
The buccal fat surgery gave me a more hollow look below the cheekbones but in front of the masseter area. In the right lighting, I can see the indent from the fat removal. It doesn't look bad (late 20s, had it done in my very early 20s). It does give a mild positive hollow look currently.
At low enough body fat percentage, the rounding that does bother me is significantly reduced but it could also be due to overactive masseter muscles (I grind a lot at night) and other structures there.
All this to say that buccal fat surgery may not reduce the round cheeks if the issue is further back in the face.

I agree. I would also say it looks really good on Bella Hadid. In order for this procedure to look good, you have to have already strong and prominent bone structure. Bella and Zoe were born with great bone structure and so when they got it done it revealed their beautiful bone structure and gave them high prominent cheekbones. The problem is everybody assumes that just because it looks good on those celebrities it’ll look good on them too and that they’ll get the same results, which just isn’t the case. But she’s got high cheekbones, and the fat surrounding it seemed to decrease over time, making them look SUPER pronounced.

The thing about this discourse is that we don’t see our difference between ordinary people vs celebrity. Celebrities, especially models, get photographed a lot. We don’t. I’m guessing they are just as self-conscious, except they can fix it easily. Buccal fat removal gives them a sharper, defined, mature, high-fashion look. It really depends on how you want to be perceived. Look at Bella Hadid. She’s a great model overall but let’s not deny that her strong face contributed to her success. Whether she looks “aged” or not, she’s still very beautiful.
We ordinary people are not the same as them. If you don’t want to get it and just let nature do its thing, that’s fine. But you can’t dismiss the fact that you are not at the receiving end of comments on appearance, they are. Lastly, let us accept the fact that famous people don’t care if they don’t look natural.

Do you bloat easily? I’m roughly the same height and weight as you. I have chubby cheeks and bloating makes it even more prominent. If you bloat easily like me, it would be helpful to lower consumption of sodium and carbonated items. Also get a food allergy/sensitivity test to see which foods to limit. If it doesn’t work, at least you’ll feel better overall! :D

I don't have too much facial fat but enough to look like 14. And I like it. For myself, I don't care what others think, especially not men. Women don't exist to serve men with their optics.
This look is a trend, whoever wants it = go for it.
Some people feel the need to follow trends, they see something and BAM it's written into their brain that they MUST HAVE it.

For thise talking trash about it, u dont have it and even if u get it will look ugly on you lol. Naturally strong bone structure will keep the face younger :) Strong bone structure is popular for a reason because u dont end up looking like a flat potato in pictures. But if I had softer features I’d keep it instead of changing my whole genetic make up to get the sculpted look. Thats just being a wannabe and it looks odd unless u have Bella Hadid money to get the best results.
