The rapper is from the group (G)-idle and her name is Soyeon. She’s such a good rapper that she’s known as ‘the next Hyuna’. Hyuna is an extremely well known idol in Kpop and is an amazing rapper.
Bryan Smith think you mean the song Jelly? Yeah I don’t really like that song haha, and Hyuna was the one in Gangnam Style, not Soyeon. Soyeon was on Unpretty Rapstar, a Korean tv show where women battle out to see who is the best rapper, so she is indeed a rapper and a good one too. I encourage you to search Soyeon’s battles on Unpretty Rapstar, she’s truly amazing, especially for her age (when they filmed the show).

The primary reason they didn kpop specifically was because the world championships took place in korea this year, they did a live performance of this song at the opening ceremony for the finals.
The game is also primarily dominated by Korean players, so that factored into the decision as well

With the games being in Incheon, South Korea this year - I think they were expecting a South Korean team to face a Chinese team there and it probably influenced them. I feel u but lemme help u out fam. When he mentioned "saw" waves, saw is a type of wave that has the most aggressive form out of all the waves. kinda has that electric buzzing/sawing sound if that helps to identify it.
Tremelo is an effect that sounds like a rhodes piano thing- the sound drifts from ear to ear (also called panning) and it sounds like the sound is bouncing from one headphone to the other one.
The dubstep-y bass he mentions is a common sound you will hear in dubsptep. Nothing special here lol it is uncommon to find the tonal elements in this song in american music (mixing unconventional things from different genres) but you hear this sound style in a lot of more aggressive kpop (rapping, etc). Most kpop if not all have those pop-in harmonies all over the place. Just my experience having lived in korea for over 20 years.
Squeeky voice is simple, most of the meat of her voice is probably on a higher frequency than most female singers. Singing depends on voices that you use (head voice, chest voice, etc), mouthing shapes and all kinds of crazy difficult stuff.

"K/D/A" is refering to a gaming acronym for Kill Death Assist , which is basicly a "score" , or ranking of how good someone is in usually first person shooter games. but in this case its refering to the fact that its a fictional music group made out of in game characters, thats why they are using the most popular gaming acronyim as a band name.
further more, these are characters from game "League of legends" .. its free to play , on pc.
The KDA does not rank how good someone is, otherway bronzes would be better than challengers.

My favourite part of the song is the powerful, really loud parts of the chorus - or rather the parts that lead before it - from the girl who you said was a bit squeaky. I think that really makes the chorus so punchy, and really contrasts the Korean singers who kinda form the foundation. Then Madison Beer (the girl with pink neon glasses, don't know the word to describe her voice) pairs so well with them.
I think you'll find that there are *four* basic waveforms. You forgot square ;)

Good review from a music producer. I love to create machinima. Not that I'm a super expert or anything but ... Whoever put this together deserves a medal. The use of colors and movement is on a whole new level. Just amazing work all the way around. The song isn't bad either. Truly inspiring talent. You can also tell this was put together in a fully fleshed out game kit. The shadowing, reflections and fades are spot on in every scene. Love the use of the neon pallet too. From an artistic point of view this is pure gold. Well done!

The name isn't a word. Its an abbreviation for Kills, Deaths, and Assists. which is what competitive mutliplayer games keep stats of during matches. The 4 female characters shown in the music video are all offensive characters that generally focus on K/D/A which is probably why they named the group that.
Hi! Just for information, K.D.A means Kill.Death.Assist. Basically, in the game League of Legends, there is a "ratio" wich allows to "rank" gamers. this ratio, is calculated referring to points made, by Killing opponents. Deaths incurred. Assisting ally in killing(K.D.A). By giving this name to this vertual band, i think that "Raiot" (different from ratio) wants to put references from the game for players and Asian-Pop name codes for all public....
