BUDDHA || THE BIGGEST || VIETNAM

The biggest Buddha's statue in Viet Nam and maybe in all South East Asia so far, I don't know for sure. I visited the place unplanned, being on my way from Hue to Nha Trang, and having just a phone and an old fuji's with me, so I am sorry for the quality of the video. Some info I managed to find so far:
According to Binh Dinh newspaper, this project was started in 2009, divided into several phases. The first phase of the project consists of 4 major construction projects, completed in 2016. Including the key work of Shakyamuni Buddha statue. According to the Management Board of Linh Phong Buddhist Spirituality Project, the statue of Shakyamuni Buddha has a height of 69 m, including the base of the statue 15 m high; All are cast in-place reinforced concrete.
The Buddha statue sits on a lotus, halfway up the mountain, at an altitude of 129 m above sea level, overlooking the East Sea, leaning against the highest mountain in the Nui Ba relic complex. At the foot of the statue is the Buddhist Teaching Center and Arhat Corridor, the Buddhist library, the Buddha Relic museum, a place for visitors to worship and worship.

I deeply understand what you mean when you say bi-lateral relationships, I am an African American Male Who studies Vietnam Buddhist traditions and my partner is from born and raised in Sri Lanka, both her and I have found how our practices of Buddhism truly relates, when we visit temples, there’s no discrepancies in the language spoken in the temple where both her and I don’t understand, I love the interconnection of the Two and I love that me not being from Asia but from America with a deep affinity for the Buddhist practices can say it’s a beautiful relationship between the two and hope they forever blossom.

Sri Lanka is my favorite place ever. Best people. It is what I became interested in Buddhism long ago. Spent 5 months there in the 1980's Went to Dambulla. Loved that place. I am sorry for all that has recently happened. Sri Lanka has been thru a lot.
