Your Vietnamese speaking skill is getting so much better! Im super impressed! And to see you learn and talk like this just 2 to 3 years living there is amazing. Whereas, you have folks living there for 5 to 10 years that barely can speak any Vietnamese, you made an effort to learn the language and fully immersed yourself in to the language, food, and culture. Taurus, I am one of the people left VN since 1975, we appreciate the American for being there when we needed the most. War is always nasty...especially Civil War. And it were not American fault. So, why not accepting American?
@@hangdong6772 Sorry, but Americans are not blameless if they inserted themselves in a "civil war" as you stated. Many millions of Viet people died or or have lasting health issues because of the war. Agent orange was dropped on the land which affects generations of the people and poisons the land/water/plants/foods. More bombs dropped than in WWII, wiping out people, land, historically significant sites (there should be reparations made by the US to restore/rebuild those historical artifacts in some way). Those are not blameless nor are they no-fault acts. And if the situation was reversed, no way Americans will be as forgiving as Vietnamese people have been.
@@haphamhong8706 The southern overseas Vietnamese are still bitter over the war and are typically the ones sitting behind their keyboards making negative or provocative comments. They hate to see Vietnamese rise from the ashes despite all the obstacles placed in her way. They forget it's a country that's had to defend itself from invaders and such throughout history and was never conquered; one of the few to go up against the Mongols whom are known to be fierce in battle. It's a history to be proud of, not to be belittled at every turn by overseas Viets.

It's interesting you can get xi mai, pork floss and a mixture of meat to go with your Banh Mi in Vietnam. We don't have those options but we have roast pork, meat balls or fish cake as options down under 😄

Pate used to be just duck liver by the French however, times change and they started doing pork liver and then adding minced pork and pork fat. As long as it is well seasoned with pepper etc, it should be delish! Baking it in the oven after it has been steamed gives it more colour, especially if the pate hasn't been pounded. We can tell you love pate. The French may have brought over their baguettes and pate but the Vietnamese invented the pork roll banh mi thit! ❤

Man there are hardly any Banh Mi shops in Australia that use pate, it just isn’t the same. I’ll be there in October for a couple weeks and have filled google maps with stars from your videos

Many of my uncles are Vietnamese veterans (served the Vietnamese goverment) and they love my American friends.
A lot of people left VN since 1975 never come back to VN. They felt shamed when they see VN nowadays is hundreds time better compared to before 1975.

Tôi rất thích ăn bánh mì. Nhưng đắn đo về nguồn gốc nguyên liệu - đặc biệt là chà bông và chả .Nên lâu lâu thèm lắm thì ăn.

What lovely people. What delicious looking food. It is almost midnight here in the UK and my mouth is watering.
Pate used to be just duck liver by the French however, times change and they started doing pork liver and then adding minced pork and pork fat. As long as it is well seasoned with pepper etc, it should be delish! Baking it in the oven after it has been steamed gives it more colour, especially if the pate hasn't been pounded. We can tell you love pate. The French may have brought over their baguettes and pate but the Vietnamese invented the pork roll banh mi thit! ❤

Man there are hardly any Banh Mi shops in Australia that use pate, it just isn’t the same. I’ll be there in October for a couple weeks and have filled google maps with stars from your videos
