My wife made me retire recently, so she got me a starter kit to do resin jewelry, and I want to thank you, you are my go to guy for hints and tips. Thanks again.
Thanks for the shoutout Steve!! And this is a really interesting technique! I love how you always find new ways to use the stuff we’ve all stocked up on! 😊
Oh, wow, Steve! This is exciting, as I used to have a wood burning kit when I was a kid. Much to my disappointment, it never got hot enough to do anything but give *me* nasty burns! Never even scorched my wood! I have never heard of wood burning paste, so thank you for telling us about it! I LOVE that box...your mum is so blessed to have you as a son. ❤😊👍
Definitely different. I never knew there were items out there like this. I actually Woodburn myself but for a quick project , I will have to check this out. Thank you for sharing this product & technique. 😊 I hope your Mom loves her box. Its quite beautiful.🎉
This is the best idea ever! I have been requested to make a set of tables that have a simple buffalo carved into them. This would work way better!!! I am so happy I found this!! ❤
I've just spent a whole day drawing out a beautiful design then went over with the paste then the pen. I wish I'd watched this video 1st. I didn't rotate the heat gun and I've scorched the whole project so badly. Less is definitely more I've found that the thicker the burning gel the longer it takes to darken. I will try again tomorrow i feel really disappointed with it now and my lack of patience with the heat gun. Thank for the great videos xxx
I used a scorch pen (or marker, whatever it's called) on my stamps and then stamped on small wood discs and used the heat gun. It made lovely ornaments for Christmas. I have siberian huskies so I used a husky stamp.
Hi Steve. I thoroughly enjoy your content and all of your experiments. You mentioned here the hardness of the resin you used. I have Mr Resin UV resin that I have been using on my jewelry pieces to seal them, and it works well. However, I was wondering if you have found a hard type clear UV resin that is very durable and hard to scratch, that might work better? I would love to hear any thoughts or suggestions you have. Thank you for all the work you put into your videos. Your experience and experiments are priceless.✨💖✨
Love this idea, Steve. I put the gel and a few stencils on my Amazon list. When I did I noticed they have the wood burning pens. Have you ever tried them?
Very impressive. Would have been cool to add a little gold leaf around the outermost edges of the rose petals. Just a touch, on the furthest part from the center of each flower.
Hi Steve. Just curious if the wood burning paste reacts differently to things like pencil? Say if I was to draw a design on 1st rather than a stencil. Keep up with great work love watching your videos you’ve given me so many ideas for my resin.
Absolutely cool! I noticed the color changed around the burned areas, yellowed a bit, only after spraying on the sealer. Was this caused due to the area still being hot from the heat gun? It wasn't like that before spraying. Maybe it was just lighting.❤
Now, does that resin leave a film on your finished product? cause that specific resin the tabletop one only, leaves a film that does not come off in my experience. Just wondering if it was just me or not, thanks :)
I have seen you do this 2 times now and not sure if it is the camera or not but it looks like it makes the wood yellow around what you burned. Is it me or the camera?

Well now, I'd never have learnt about wood burning paste without your channel. Thank you! It looks like a lot of fun.
Same! 😊👍

Love this so much! I have wanted to do wood burning for a long time, but my hands just aren't steady enough. I could definitely do this.
Your mum is a very lucky lady x
Oh wow! What a great idea. I love it. Hop your mom enjoys her goodies ❤

That is a thoughtful and beautiful gift.

You are amazing. I have been doing resin for 3 years and I have learned so much from you
Thanks Steve, I was so glad to see you do this. I purchased wood burning paste a while ago. I am finally ready to use it on wood ornaments. ❤❤❤
There is some amazing technologies available now! Thanks Laurie NZ.
Amazing!
First time seeing your channel…. Enjoyed the project and the high energy!
Wow. That’s cool indeed. I’ve done traditional wood burning before but never this. ❤ the effect.
That is so cool 😎
Amazing this is so beautiful 😍
Wow, Steve, I really love your box project it came out beautiful 😍
I just started “scorching” . Your tutorial is great.
Absolutely gorgeous
It's a beautiful box thank-you for sharing . I got a jar can't wait to try it out .🙂
Absolutely beautiful ❤❤
That was cool. I enjoy your videos.😊
Oh my goodness… just heard about wood gel… love your perfect detailed demo 💕 … thank you 🙏🏻
That is freaking cool.
I have the burning solution in pen form. I like this medium better because you can get a thicker application.
Beautiful!
Oooo luv that ❤❤❤❤
I would have scorched the lid as well. Looks awesome either way.
Such a Great Craft!

What are the names of the stamp he used

Great video Steve! Can you use the burn paste on top of a stain? TYSM!
Love this idea, Steve. I put the gel and a few stencils on my Amazon list. When I did I noticed they have the wood burning pens. Have you ever tried them?
can you use mica powders with those stamps as well?
Very impressive. Would have been cool to add a little gold leaf around the outermost edges of the rose petals. Just a touch, on the furthest part from the center of each flower.
Can you paint or colour the wood after burning?
Just wondering if this is permanent. Will this fade over time? Love your videos.

I’ve got a bog standard heat embossing heat gun, but I’m guessing that won’t be hot enough. Am I right?
❤❤❤
I saw a marker online, I can't remember the name off hand... But it looked easy peasy

How does thegold leaf adhere if the glue is dry?
There's a deal going on for the kit on Amazon right now
❤

Does it eat in to the wood
😍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I have seen you do this 2 times now and not sure if it is the camera or not but it looks like it makes the wood yellow around what you burned. Is it me or the camera?
I see a halo too..what is causing it?
What happens if you don't sand your art after it finishes?
If you mold comes out perfect why do people sand it and polish it. Just let it as is.
that's beyond burnt compared to other ways.
Was the click-baity title worth it?
What are you talking about the title is correct. I think it’s great!
Got me to watch and I LOVED IT!!❤
I found a pen that has chemical in it that wood burns.
