You demonstrate well all the details in doing this work. Time consuming, but you have the satisfaction of knowing it was done right and looks great. Great video and sound.
Kyle you are the on that has to go to sleep at night with your work. So what you think is needed to waterproof your buildings is the right thing to do. 👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Kyle.... love your detail work! Really great! I just wish all contractors would be so honest and just do the right job that the customers paying for. I do everyday the best I can... I dont cut corners or cheat the customer. Keep up the great work that both of you guys do.
@@RRBuildings you did but say it BUT !! EVEN I MISSED IT AND HAD TO PLAY BACK SO IF GREG WAS ON HIS WAY DOWN AT THE TIME HE WOULD NOT HEAR YOU I TOLD MY WIFE TO SHUT UP THE OTHER DAY WHEN SHE WALKED OUT OF THE ROOM SHE DID NOT HEAR ME BUT I DEF SAID IT HAHAH CHACK IT OUT ON IG WG.DEVELOPMENTS
Gotta say...I LOVE seeing how clean your site is! We had a house built in 2021 and the sheer amount of GARBAGE left lying around was insane. Half full soda cans that were left to drywall over...soda cans left inside the cavity for the gas fireplace. An entire box of roofing nails was dropped in the front yard and they just put sod over them. You guys certainly do a high quality, detail oriented job!!
You say it's all in the detail and to most that may be right but it's because of teem work and motivation and a great deal of skill that makes it all come tougher. I like your videos keep them coming.
You spent more time on one corner than the crew did on my entire addition flashing/siding. Then I go behind and fix things after they leave. lol Nice work brother.
That darn rebar in the cement, leads too static shocks. I have had that happen to me. An eye opener to say the least. You guys have fun while doing exceptional work , thats awesome
Yes cant wait for the inside! I am not looking forward to this to end I love it and your both doing an amazing job love it man thanks for sharing brother
belt and suspenders I would say you don't need silicon around window but so easy and cheap to do it now and not worry about it but that metal trimming wow great great work
Beautiful job on the corner of the roof. Also, you stated is the bead of caulking above the newly installed windows is necessary? I say DEFINITELY YES, 1st as a business owner; your name is attached to the quality of work you provide to the customer. 2nd, I rather over kill any detailed installation, especially when it’s dealing with rain! Stay safe and continue putting out quality for the DIY’s on UA-cam.
With Ryan's ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxy_pn55PK60wAV3X_C_RoLS_67mNonoCE plan I was like one taken by the hand and led step by step from start to finish. Thank you very much Ryan!
It’s great to see your work, you do it exactly the same way We do It in Sweden. The same tools(mostley with Milwaukee) and the same procedures.I guess and hope that We have the same requirements as you have. Love watching you work man.We use the same snipps. But We use the plane 90 degress angel tool.
Your attention to detail is phenomenal, you have the gift of gab and the ability to explain concepts very well ! Really enjoy you videos ! What metal supplier are you using for your roofing material ? What is the major difference between prefab and on site fabrication off the rolls ?
I would recommend sloping the bottom window sills, it's code. That way the if the window leaks the water runs out and not into your insulation. Also, flex tape works great for the corners.
When in doubt......do whatever the boss is thinking, not what he says. hahaha Kyle, you did say "maybe" bring the 6 footer. To me, that means the 6', the 4', the torpedo, the extended Stabila, AND the laser. :) Did I miss one?
It's getting to look a lot like a warehouse vs. "cabin". It's a large cabin. One thing I've noticed over the years of buildings and their fireplaces/chimney's is the placement of windows near them. From the outside, these 6 windows look nice however, for the inside, it creates too much glare when taking in the fireplace decore and style, if it will have some. During daytime, those windows will allow too much light around the stone work inside, if it will have some, which prevents a clear observation of the overall fireplace/chimney build. Hope they have a raised hearth too. BTW, re the levels, you did tell Greg to bring the 4 footer and also the 6 footer at the same time.
Garth Clark you are right re the look. It’s like a posh outlet store/factory not a hunting cabin. Not RRs fault but the architect, I wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole.
I can't say if caulking the top of the window frame is necessary or not, but from a purely time and materials standpoint, you're not losing a measurable amount of money doing it so it surely wouldn't hurt.
Hola!!!! Vi toda la serie!!!!! Un pena que no tiene subtítulos en español!!! Por favor ponganlos!!!!!! Felicitaciones buen trabajo gracias por compartir sus conocimientos
I love your videos, not a huge fan of relying on caulk unless it's totally necessarry and I think the flashing details should have been kicked off with a peel and stick flexible membrane around the housewrap and plywood joint on flat where the vertical wall and roof ply meet, than putting flashing as you have. Looks great and I bet it will last a long time, I just think it is a bit of a weakpoint that joint there and that spot will see a lot of rain. I'm sure it's fine but I am just thinking there's a better way to do this to sleep well at night about it.
Sorry you said "maybe" to Greg on the six foot level. I don't think you are overdoing at all with your tape. Matter of fact I personally feel you are perhaps under doing. I very much like to do a full shingle wrap on the frame, install the window with caulk and then do the final wrap with tape over the nailing flanges. I live in wind and rain with very little yearly drying time so I am paranoid with penetrations. Hence also my preference for screws (the new really flat pancake ss ones are ideal) because as you stated, "no product lasts forever". When it comes time to replace screws are so much easier and neater. I haven't yet used them on the window trims but it wouldn't be a bad idea to ease the removal of J channel etc.
Your knowledge of cutting, bending, and fitting trim, and your attention to detail and doing things correctly is both wonderful and depressing. Wonderful for your customers, but depressing for people like me, who had unskilled framers install the sheet metal on my barn/shop. I wish you lived and worked in Arizona, I would hire you in a second.
Great build guys !
Your sheet metal skills making the wall to porch roof flashing are mind boggling.
You guys have been lucky with all of the nice weather we've had the last few weeks
You demonstrate well all the details in doing this work. Time consuming, but you have the satisfaction of knowing it was done right and looks great. Great video and sound.

It's all about time and money
Yep! I heard it! You said the 6 footer too! Love the project! Watching this one closely!
You said to grab the 6’ level!
I knew it
@@RRBuildings Yea, but he was already out of earshot and you should have waited for acknowledgement. Your error-correction protocol needs work.

I'd have to say that both you guys are pretty decent sheet metal workers. Nice work.
Who would you recommend watching that is better or more skilled out of curiosity.
During lock down I help my neighbour build a greenhouse, every panel had plastic protection and got a shock of every one. I feel your pain
Kyle is RIGHT!!! Greetings from Bolivia.
Both of you pulling the film off the window and KNOWING you were going to get shocked was down-right FUNNY!
Boy it’s coming along nice . This Cabin is going to be one of a kind with your excellent workmanship, love watching it come to life 👍👍

I found your channel last week. Love how detailed your videos are! I need to learn how to make my videos more like that. Great video!
Incredible that the building is still flexing so much
Thanks and Recommended for all to follow this shed plans
Can't wait for the next episode. Please don't stop filming until it's finished!!!!
By the way..... I'm watching you guys from Germany.
I like the silicone. It cant hurt it. Never a bad thing to go above and beyond in my eyes
That darn rebar in the cement, leads too static shocks. I have had that happen to me. An eye opener to say the least. You guys have fun while doing exceptional work , thats awesome
RR Buildings
, You should apply WeatherLogic tape to the corner detail before installing the steel.
What a wealth of Info on this channel! Thanks!
Yes cant wait for the inside! I am not looking forward to this to end I love it and your both doing an amazing job love it man thanks for sharing brother
It's Shocking how much fun you guys have lol

Very exciting project! I love the Versetta Stone!
Looking forward to the interior. Thanks for posting another episode.
What a great watch these videos are, thank you. Regards Jim UK.
Love those details! I miss custom metal bending...... HVAC metal shop, still enjoy seeing the details!
You build it and edit it, I'll be here! KOKO
I heard you say grab the 6' as well. This building is amazing. Really enjoying the videos and can't wait for interior.
i finally got my RR shirt. i'm happy with it. keep making great videos

You're pretty brave handling that cut steel with no gloves!
Enjoying the show
Great video. You guys are awesome. You obviously love what you do by having a great time working as a team and also doing great quality work.
Love the channel! Learning a lot about pole buildings. Ur skills and ur metal wool is awesome dude!
Good stuff Brother. Looking forward to the next video
Per usual, absolutely beautiful detailing.
I love how you make it up as you go👍
Nobody can stand around and watch Kyle do the majority of the work like Greg.

I am really enjoying this build
Hey Kyle, don’t know if anyone has told you or not but if you spray the window clings with water before you pull them off it gets rid of the static!
That's using your head Greg!! Getting those windows on the lift.
Love the channel, but think you are insane for handling metal roofing/siding without gloves!
Your attention to detail is phenomenal, you have the gift of gab and the ability to explain concepts very well ! Really enjoy you videos ! What metal supplier are you using for your roofing material ?

Another great video, Should have put the title as "Shocking", Static will get you every time. Thanks from the UK.
I would recommend sloping the bottom window sills, it's code. That way the if the window leaks the water runs out and not into your insulation. Also, flex tape works great for the corners.
Is looking great keep working the way you guys are now
Can't wait for the next one
Gregg you were wrong, sorry! Must be hard working for a perfectionist LOL! Love your work, you are artists!!
you two are doing a great job
Shocking video. You did say grab the 6 ft also.
Excelent work , congratulation from Argentina
You make it look easy.
When in doubt......do whatever the boss is thinking, not what he says. hahaha Kyle, you did say "maybe" bring the 6 footer. To me, that means the 6', the 4', the torpedo, the extended Stabila, AND the laser. :) Did I miss one?
You missed the extra long one.
This looks why you have not finished the home remodel. Great stuff thanks

again, very excellent curves and angles !!!
Looks great. Thanks for posting..
17:47... two girls having fun at site :D
Too bad we can't like and share. You were right Kyle.... So here's my comment.
Superb work Kyle..!!!
That is one cool end wall
I can't say if caulking the top of the window frame is necessary or not, but from a purely time and materials standpoint, you're not losing a measurable amount of money doing it so it surely wouldn't hurt.
Hello from Brasil, you're amazing constructor
When you going to learn not to argue with the boss Greg!
Try putting a half a dryer sheet inside each shoe. This will take care of the static shocks. I swear it works.
Nice job, keep chipping away at it.
You guys are awesome!

You said"Maybe even the six footer " Sorry Greg.
I like the tape detail,Not overkill to me just right.
that peeling the plastic off the windows was hilarious, "dude, can I get a video of you doing it"....great laughs on a Monday morning!
Helllllllll yeah Kyle! Ive got about 4 minutes left on standing seam at music garage. Guess ill drink coffee a bit longer lol
Man I like your buildings bro 👍
He said: "Grab a footer too" 👍😁

I love this channel
I thought Greg is always wrong. Right BOSS MAN!! LOL
Love this build is so cool!!!
Taking the cling wrap off the windows 😂🤣😂
You’re right! But what if you install a window pan with a 1/2” lip according to the window jam?!
details details. Nice job
Looking good 👍

I wish you lived and worked in Arizona, I would hire you in a second.
Looks amazing
This was a shockingly good video.
For Halloween Kyle should go as Pythagoras.
