Which one sounds better?
They both are awesome and W video
NASCAR V8 Camaro
Both are good
Both sound great.
NASCAR V8 sounds incredible and glorious 🎶🎶
READ!
(1) Due to not having a 2023 Supercar Gen3 3D model the Supercar you see here is a GT4 Camaro body with current Supercar physics (performance), and sound.
(2) There will be a part 2 on an oval... Stay tuned!
You could try to do something similar with a nascar pinty's car, nascar mexico and nascar brazil cars
Nice job with what you had dude
Would you for a next video do NASCAR vs Turismo Carretera?
@@we.are.nascar75what about NASCAR vs Lancia Rally Cars?
@@purwantiallan5089 ok
You should have included other racing series that use v8, like the trans am, stock car brazil, turismo carretera, i want to see a race with all these stock cars, touring cars, and all gt cars, all "production" cars like all of these, without the formula cars and prototypes
Finding the mods is not easy.
@@deltazero3796he probably have all of them already in his pc
Turismo Carretera uses carburated i6s
Stock Car Brasil usa 2.0 turbo… Tá sabendo de nada hein?

Can’t wait to see Larson and SVG in two years battle week in and week out.
Great comparison.....I like that it showed that there isn't much difference in acceleration but that the V8 Supercars are a step up in the corners compared to a Nascar
with a lot smaller tyre !!!!!
They are very comparable. The NASCAR is a bit heavier. I'd imagine also the v8 supercars areo works for it better on a track like this. And i agree the tires make a big difference the nascar will be alot more hesitant to turn in. While having thinner tires the V8 supercar can be sent in the corners alot more aggressively
Great comparison video. Not surprised by the results. The NextGen Cup cars are slow compared to previous years, likely due to less hp and downforce, even though mechanical grip is much higher for NextGen.
on ovals, yes, but the next gens are setting much faster times on road courses
Yep@@hansenrix6439
Not on road courses
@hansenrix6439 Absolutely incorrect. Road courses from previous Gen cars vs next gen are roughly 2 seconds faster per minute, compared to Gen 6's peak.
Sonoma raceway
2023 NextGen: 1:17.719
2022 NextGen: 1:17.776
2019 Gen 6 ran the full course
2018 Gen 6: 1:15.732
2017 Gen 6: 1:15.177
2016 Gen 6: 1:14.392
Watkins Glen
2023 NextGen: 1:10.392
2019 Gen 6: 1:09.287
2014 Gen 6: 1:08.126
Actually the Next Gen has a lot more downfoce, specially underneath
The audio volume of the nascar is way too low, it should be drowning out the supercar
Tbh when the time comes i think both series should share regs to keep costs down for both competitions
It would interesting if Supercars, NASCAR and Trans-Am could develop a common chassis and bodies.
@@skaldlouiscyphre2453what if 2025 V8 Supercars has 1000bhp regulations like in F1 2022?
wtf is this take 💀💀💀
@@purwantiallan5089 I don't see that happening, personally.
@@purwantiallan5089 Why just why ? did that video not teach you anything, a car with less horsepower and less tyre just beats a car that theroyectically on paper it sshould beat but it beat it by 1.68secs, and thats because in Australia we have some of the best engineers in the world, its about engineering your car to get the power to the ground not who can make the most horsepower, if u wanna do that theres a sport for that its called drag racing
REPCO V8 SUPERCARS and Nascar Cup Series V8 sounds are equally angelic.
Cool comparison, I'd like to see the same thing done but with the old Cup engines making 850hp, not these weak 670hp choked engines they run now.
Alright a Part 2!! Especially since that there’s a newer generation of cars with Nascar and V8 Supercars!
Man, I love when you guys remember videos I posted over a year ago, it's incredibly motivating. Thank you so much man
@@THEWINDTUNNEL Ahh it’s one of the benefits of having a loyal following. 😉
I haven’t read any comments so apologies if I’m repeating someone else…. The video is 100 percent accurate, to save me writing 10 lines, the smart people will get this 😅 do the same thing at Watkins glen and the nascar wins by 1. Whatever it said….. bring the nascars to Bathurst to race (cup race) take the V8’s the glen (Supercars championship) this is the hard part someone else can work out lol getting the cars to both events without changing the normal dates they run every year…… now wheres the mustang wind tunnel video comparison lol
I think it would be funny if you added garage 56 to the race
V8 Supercars is what Nascar would’ve looked like if they never ditched the original “stock car” formula.
it’s a shame we don’t have a nascar game in 2024
I'm sure iRacing is gonna do a fantastic title for 2025. It will be worth it
@@THEWINDTUNNEL hopefully on ps5
I like all car engines but my most favorite is a V8 engine. My second favorite is a V12. My third favorite engine is a V10. The rest of them are my favorite except a two-cylinder and a one-cylinder. Those two make cars go very slow.
Nascar is catching up.
The numbers seem very comparable to real life. The Aussie Battler has it in the tight bits, but the Stars and Stripes has it for outright speed. Very interesting 👌🏽.
Gen 3 is a ZL1.
I know, I just used the official names
They ran nascars at the Bathurst ATCC round in 1996. They were slower overall but faster down the straight. Only having a 4 speed , smaller brakes and less aero that was always going to be the result
How does the Garage 56 Le Mans entry compare to Australian super cars?
Will see...
If only they would bring back the Original Aussie Supercars(Holden, Ford, Nissan )I lost interest in this new gen series in Australia 😤
i think the primary difference is the downforce package the Supercars use compared to the Cup cars... aside from that they're a really close match.
also, who's driving the NASCAR? he needs to work on his skill in the corners. if he didn't overdrive and miss the apex on a few turns they would've been right on top of each other.
1:56 nascar go wwweeeee.
Nice circuit but now put them at Daytona 😉
Please use this track more I love this track it have tight corners and long straights
Some body asked which sounds better ?
They're video game cars !
The answer is simple !
They sound like digital wet
Farts 🥺
Don't forget we also have the GT3 spec Camaro that ran the IMSA pilot challenge and naturally the Lemans garage 56 Camaro.
The Michelin Pilot Camaro is a GT4. GM's GT3 is the Corvette
There is no GT3 Camaro
Next video
Supercars VS Garage 56
The horsepower for the v8 Supercars next gen is 600 hp not 650 which mean the next gen cup car is slower
I wish that the NASCAR had more umphhh.
Putting a NASCARs top speed in kilometers should be illegal. Have u never heard? WHAT THE FUCK IS A KILOMETER RAHHHHH 🦅
(Gun sounds)
The only problem I have with these comparisons is that without ghosting its not a true indication of what both cars can do under equal conditions. Going into turn 2 one car had to lift and change line to avoid a collision. I know you probably just dont have that ability in game, or you dont have to time/software suite to time match and superimpose two separate runs, but without it these videos are more just for entertainment than education. No disrespect intended.
Yeah, as you said this channel is pure entertainment. That's I prefer to do a head-to-head race rrather than separete laps. You always have the theoretical qualifying times at the end of these races to see what would've happened in clean air. Thanks for the feedback though
Not terribly surprising. Cup cars are overbuilt to handle crashes on ovals. That adds weight, and lots of it. So, it may have a bit more power and a bit more tire than the V8 Supercar, but it was never going to handle in the tight corners like one.
It's not only for ovels bud it's for roadcources
The Aussie car is limited to 600hp in real life.
Wld love a link for that Cup car🤘🏼🏁
If only nascar allowed the engine to have like 900 hp and not what 670 or whatever’s they have it at now
Why, so only the rich teams could win, you can't have unlimited engines in either class, read the rules..all these armchair experts know f...all..
Honestly the gap would be larger if it was a proper gen 3 car and not a GT4, since the supercars have a lot more downforce than its gt4 version
I used a Camarao GT4 body because no ome's done the Supercar. The physics and everything else are accurate
Why use red bull when there’s other cars in the competition
I just picked a car from the most successful teams of each series
Hmm, nice try but a load of crap, two different cars for 2 totally different tracks..waste of time to me..
Not as different as you think. Shane Van Gisbergen won in his very first NASCAR Cup start. NASCAR also races on road and street courses. Part 2 will be on a couple ovals.
Red Bull Chevrolet vs NASCAR Chevrolet
Nascar Cup has not been the same since they cut the HP down.
pretty good video, but maybe you could do the same comparison but with the Garage 56 NASCAR Cup Car?
I thought the V8 Supercar would win around the Mountain due to the Aero package that would make it handle better across the top of the mountain (which we saw). I know the NASCAR on a flat track with not too many corners would beat the Supercar.
Stockcar
Predictable outcome.
A car design to run road course races winning on a road course against a car that is primarily designed for high speed oval racing.
What's predictable is you ignoring how stifled the current cup cars are power wise.
@@trent7736 just because the cup car has power doesn’t mean it will beat a purpose built road racing car. My point was still correct.
The cup car will win on most ovals against the Aussie V8 car due to its sheer power and less downforce.
What about v8 supercars vs g56 nascar?
Since when have NASCAR not had 900hp!? 😮
Since 2014. 10 years already wow...
I love IndyCar a lot, but man I’m a sucker for V8 engines
shit bull is everywhere...
The horsepower and top speed of both cars are wrong. Get better mods before posting dumb comparisons with dumb A.I. driving.
well they changed Nascar rules so they are more like V8 super cars to run street circults, and there is no such thing as a V8 supercar any more, now that they are all American brand and made cars, plus like the commodore was , the camaros are np longer made now as well,
It's a pretty obvious answer, and i suspect the gap would be much larger in a real world comparison. The V8SC has a 6 speed box with suspension, brakes and aero package specifically formulated for circuit racing.
Oval racing is also circuit racing bruh.
Era evidente que ganaría dado que el supercar tiene mejor paso por curva pero si los pusiese a ambos en un óvalo el terreno de un nascar ese le sacaría muchísima ventaja
A couple of thing's. The nascar is 300 kg heavier 300 - 600.ml wider 3 time's louder and not as fast over the top as predicted.
Definitely not as fast as predicted, if you tried to drive a nascar at speeds the supercars can do across the top of the mountain you are going to hit a wall & hit it hard, look how often the supercars hit them & they are built for it.

Man I need to play this. What game is this
Assetto Corsa
I noticed that the V8 supercar is not a gen 3 V8 supercar but a Camaro GT4 with the same tuning as a gen 3. How has no one made a real gen 3 yet?
I have no idea, it's kinda weird with the ammount of modders and studios there's on AC. Supercar is less popular than what it was 5 years ago though
Can you put a Mercedes AMG: One against some GT3 or GTE cars? I wanna see how they compete.
Yes I can. It has to be on a tight track to have a decent race.
If they made a hybrid of the 2 that'd be perfect
The Aussie sound vs the Freedom sound!
Nice vid but i think nascars cost more im not sure plus not a fair comparison it should be one nascar track and one supercar track
Denny Hamlin (driver & owner) said that's what these cars cost. Part 2 will be on an oval
Tbh the NASCAR really ain’t that slow, I’m surprised.
it really is that slow !!
The new V8supercar weighs only 1340kg including the driver. The Nascar is 1451kg without it's driver. So you might have to do some modification to your specs.
Freedom 🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸
NGL i feel the NASCAR would win. the Dunlop tire is a nightmare as told by SVG on the Dale jr Download podcast. he mentions its impossible to push the car to its limit where as the cup car you can go what feels beyond its limits and still have speed.
The Supercar is still faster though, better suspensions, more aero, lighter, better gearbox...
@@THEWINDTUNNEL the supercar is just a better engineered car... its as simple as that
Supercars have way more downforce which not only helps them corner at higher speeds but gives them improved drive coming out of the corners, they have bigger brake discs & their suspension isn't designed for a banked course. I have no idea how a supercar would go on a banked oval, the suspension i think, would struggle with the banking & the increased downforce would reduce top speed on the straights & im not sure if it would help in the corners. In regards to the tyres SVG was referring to the new compound used in 2023 compared to previous years.
SVG’s problem was that the new compound didn’t wear as fast as the old one did. This made one of his key strengths, tyre conservation, less important.
iracing is better
Maybe but it doesn't have a Gen3 Supercar
I'm not sure how accurate this is. The NASCAR Cup car has much wider tires 365mm vs. 280mm for the V8 Supercar. That should give it an advantage in mechanical grip. The V8 Supercar does have a 6 speed transmission vs. 5 speed, so that's an advantage there, and it is carrying less weight, but it has a bit less power as well.
Bathurst was a good choice but I’d personally like to see this at like Road America or VIR, other than that a solid race!
Should no longer be a supercar, nothing super about them
The racing and the sound are super!
They'd waste you in your Ferrari...if you have one.
I wanna see the V8 Supercar vs NASCAR on a oval
Soon...
We dont just turn left in Australia we turn left and right so why bother putting a supercar on a oval
@@Steve-jo3cl because the V8 Supercar might win, that’s why
Fantastic comparison!
Mods names?
Results were exactly what I expected. The cup car has more downforce and horsepower but also more weight. It had the advantage of speed but was hurt badly in slower corners due to the extra weight.
How on earth do you think cup cars have more down force

Not that it really matters seeing as this is a game, but the cup cars usually weight north of 3600lbs when loaded
Yeah, these are only curb weights with a driver included
