I got a Roasted Swamp Ash guitar body on the way. I think Danish Oil would be a nice finish for it. Wanting to make it clear.

How long does it sit between coats?
The can says to let it sit for 10 mins, but you say 30, which is correct?
Should we keep it wet while letting it sit? (I was getting gummy surface that wouldn't wipe off after 10 min)
    Seems the instructions need enhancing

My experience with this product is let it sit no more than 5 minutes before wiping off excess otherwise it gets thick and gummy. Almost like applying a gel stain; wipe or brush on liberally and remove excess pretty quick.

I don't think your advice of sitting for 30 minutes shows experience. I have used Watco for over 40 years (and have projects from that time period) and letting the product sit for more than five and a maximum of ten minutes leaves a heavy residue that is difficult (and unimportant) to manage. Doing things correctly and respecting the time needed for tasks is important. You may consider doing some experiments that will verify my advice. Your viewers will appreciate the improved efficiency and time saved.

You can apply any finish to it, as long as the Danish Oil applications are completely dried.

Can I mix 2 Watco oils? I'm finding the Light Walnut color to be a bit dark for my purpose (overhead doug fir beams) and so am hoping to lighten it up by mixing the natural and light walnut colors. Thanks.

Absolutely! I have done quite a few projects with this product and have come up with different "recipes" to enable me to match existing furniture, e.g., 1 part dark walnut, 1 part golden oak 1 part cherry. I have perfectly matched a number of pieces of existing furniture using this process. The five colors I have found that let me make a recipe to match almost any color are: dark walnut, medium walnut, cherry, golden oak and natural. I practice on a piece of oak backer board (thin oak plywood) to see what the finished color will look like. You'll need to wait until it completely dries (3 days) to see the true color and before applying any protective coating (I prefer Minwax wipe on poly).

This guys knows nothing about this product. Ignore him, don't listen to misinformation about this amazing oil. I drench the wood in it, let it seep as far down as I can get it in 10 minutes. Then wipe it off. Grab some 400 wet sanding paper and start polishing more oil on it. After ten minutes wipe it off clean.

I've never, not once, thumbed down a YT video, but I was sooo close with this guy. I can't stand a salesman trying to show me something a professional should be showing me.

No no no, pour it on there, make sure it pools and push around the puddle with a silicone scraper.
    Wait, wipe off excess.
