Cool! So impressed I bought the diver model with tools for less than a new Seiko however it has a sapphire crystal and 200M WR (Tested by my watchmaker). Now I just regulated it and put on a shark mesh bracelet. DIY Watch Club is awesome!
I bought my ssk 003 from an authorized dealer and with tax and everything it was $405 out the door so this is cool because you're putting together to yourself but it is no way a savings especially since you can go on Chrono 24 and get any one of the three variants of ssk for anywhere from 350 to 425
@@the1010watchclub how'd you do that they're usually locked in position otherwise all seiko would be perfect because we would be able to adjust them. What's the trick?
I guess technically I moved the dial. The dial is movable a millimeter or two in either direction before you put it in the case so the 12 o’clock marker can match up with the chapter ring.
Got mine yesterday. Looks like cost cutting has started. The bezel ring is no longer ceramic and the numerals on the bezel right no longer have lume. It's just a stainless steel ring with a brushed Pepsi finish and a single dot of lume at the 24hour position. It's fine, I guess. Disappointing.
im into watches .... this is a very nice thing diy wathes is doing .. BUT ... why would i pay400+ euros instead of buying the parts seperatly for 100 euros tops? or even pay 400 and buy a REAL GENUINE SEIKO OR CITIZEN OR BLA BLA BLA??????????????
I’ve bought the $100 parts before and built my own (video about my yacht master homage build) and the quality was way lower. This case, crystal etc from DIY is worlds apart in terms of quality. That being said, yes you could definitely spend the same for a finished watch, but you wouldn’t get gray hairs from installing a seconds hand!
Great review. Just received mine and will post an assembly video soon. Just subbed btw. Great presentation 👍
Welcome to the channel! Leave a link here when you post the vid, would love to see how it turned out

Great to hear, nice work
Always enjoy your take on things.
I just finished mine, the limited edition batman with metal bracelet. it was tough but seems to be a really nice watch.
That’s awesome. How was the seconds hand?
@@the1010watchclub it took me a while, but, I got it , used rodico to hold it and just kept at it , not easy for sure!
I like how the lugs are turned down
It would be cool if they sent A Sterile top dial with no logo just said GMT and the water resistance
Just ordered mine.
👍🏼🤘🏼
Cool looking watch though I do like the sandwich style and I like the double Dome Sapphire

The chapter ring comes pre-installed on this watch
It is pre-installed but I needed to adjust it a little for it to line up with the dial markers and bezel insert

I think I'll wait till next year for prices to go down on the Seiko
I definitely like the sapphire crystal and the red hand. Nice case and edge. Great winding mechanism and strap!! Very clear lume!!
💪👍

Sorry to hear. Agreed, disappointing
Thank you!
