    cushion case without turtle? huh?

Turtles never seem to stick around here

The turtles are afraid to visit Rob for fear of being killed, then have their internals inserted into an SKX case!

MM300 is still king in my book. Still like my blumo though. Seiko prices are crazy now. I paid $1667 for my MM300 back in 2015 brand new.

Totally agree on the Blumo. I wish I had a MM300 also.

Currently the Blumo is king 👑 in my collection but definitely want a Marine Master in my collection.

In short, if you like Seiko and this style of watch, the MM200 reduced is the best price/performance/looks combo here.

Turtle is my current daily (king, manta ray), but seriously lusting after a MM200 & Willard... Gotta love a Seiko diver! Cheers mate 👍🏻👍🏻

That dial and bezel inset on the MM200 remains uniquely fantastic, but I like them all. I gained new appreciation for them all here. :)

have to say, i picked up a NOS mm300, the sbdx017 with the hardlex crystal and the printed marinemaster on the dial and it cured me for all other seiko divers. you are correct about the bracelet though. i changed it out with a strapcode after market bracelet and not only did it balance the weight distribution better it also asthetically looks cleaner because its a thicker bracelet

LMAO. Can't help myself. In the vein of a nursery rhymes. One diver two diver 3 diver 4. Five diver please no more. You are still the best out there.

The Sumo is available via US ADs in a few core colors. It has the 6R35 with the 70 hr power reserve. Can take it off Friday and pick it up on Monday. This is a cool comparison. I really liked the previous gen mm200, I ended up going with the sumo due to its unique design.

I know that I’m probably alone on this, but I like the older MM200 better than the Reduced model. Better lume, hand set is more legible, different bezel finish. Something about the newer reduced model puts me off, too much of a “cheap version” of the MM300 rather than its own thing. Just my opinion.

    • @mikkoluiro9968

Yep it looks a bit more refined regarding the dimensions when they are side by side. Looks thinner and the thinner bezel makes a huge difference. I like my mm200 blue hole a lot even though i have a flat 6,25" wrist! I wear it on a selfmade leather strap and love it!

  • @red75v67
    @red75v67 2 роки тому +3

The proportions of the 200 reduced look almost perfect, contrary to the Sumo which always looks too big for 20mm lugs. I only have the SKX out of these models but someday a MM300 has to be mine. Great quick comparison.

I’ve owned the SBDC033 Blumo/Sumo now for over two years now. I also own the skx009. You’d be surprised how comfortable the Sumo is on wrist.

Agree with the feel of the cases. My older Sumo feels more comfortable than my SKX - even though it's bigger. I just ordered an SLA 035 (marine master) ... looking forward to wearing.

Greet Blue Hole feels like it's in a different category or class. Looks way more refined, dressy diver-ish, and less tool-y than the MM300 or MM200 reduced. Love the vintage yellow-ish lume coloration too. My pick as #1 out of the group.

Gotta have the MM! The others are fantastic too but if you get one or two other Seiko’s, it doesn’t take long before you realize you want that MM300. The SKX or similar styling Seiko 5 line are great too! They’re comfortable everyday models but everyone should have at least one MM…….and to me, doesn’t matter which color combo MM, all FANTASTIC!🤘🏽😃

In my opinion, Seiko's magic is 44~45mm diameter , 50mm lug to lug. But the important thing is the lug width only 20mm that make we feel watches are smaller.

12:44 Wait, MM300 is also inhouse movement. COSC is only apply to Swiss made movement. No one have put a Seiko 8L35 / 8L55 through the same set of test as COSC so I think we can't really say whether the Tudor movement is better or worst compare to the movement in MM300.

I prefer when the case is wider than the bezel. The 200 reduced is a bit too stacked and thick looking. The MM200 melts onto the wrist compared to the 200 reduced which just seems to sit there. Same with MM300. Sumo is just wild and huge.

No Turtle? I have all mentioned in the video with the exception of the SKX (missed out on those). IMO the original MM200 wears the best on my 7 1/4" wrist. It hugs it and just looks and feels right. The new baby MM200 is too short lug to lug and the MM300 is a tad tall. That being said, I alternate daily between my MM300 (SLA047), the love of my life and another one of my Seiko divers. If you could afford only one, the MM300 is the best diver in terms of value. I paid $2175 brand new with warranty for mine. Do your homework and you won't be dissatisfied.
