I found out about this amazing artist by checking out random CD’s from the library in the olden days. An immediately went out and bought it at a Rasputin’s Records. The same day I found out about The Decembrists and Sufian Stevens. Haven’t stopped loved their music since.
Have listened to a lot of Andrew over the years. Saw 2 amazing shows. Have always come back to this particular performance though. One of my very favorite and one of the most underrated and inspirational artists. Beautiful vibrations.
After watching this video probably literally over 500 or so I thought I commented. So here goes: unspeakable beauty. Not just one of a kind. Could be an angel to make music this beautiful. Also a musician myself andrew bird tugs on my heart strings. Not to mention it makes me feel happy to physically play his music
No lie - he's one of a very few musicians that I feel humanity was blessed with simply because he came of age when we have advanced audio & visual recording technology - i.e. his talent will be preserved (as long as the technology is) - we're not just left with poetic descriptions of the loveliness of his music.
It is so cool that I will be seeing him live in just 11 days from now! Andrew will be playing at this year's Forcastle Festival in Louisville, Kentucky on July 14, 2012. I am going mainly to see My Morning Jacket, but it will be even more special since I have found Mr. Bird's music. Hopefully, I will be able to be very close if not right up front! Very Nice!!!
I live in fear of this video being removed and not being able to listen to this song. Is there a way to download or buy it?? I have listened to this song for years and cannot get over it.
Love and respect for this timeless artist. This should be celebrated from the highest places.
So glad my buddy recommended this to me. I get to go another musical journey with this real artist. Such a great fresh breath of air.

Indeed, you can feel your skin shriver when the bow rubs the strings.

This is one of my all time favorite songs. Andrew Bird is a musical genius.
That sound of him shutting off the last loop at the very end gets me, every time.
Andrew bird is absolutely amazing, no better musician is out there
Damn... That loop is ridiculously delicious... Absolutely beautiful.
I feel sorry for the 11 lonely souls that voted to dislike.

I guess he didn't think it was appropriate to say "church steeples are catching fire" while performing in a church. Fair enough.
