I love SF, but it's been hard to deal with how rough Buddy's vocals have gotten over the years. He just doesn't sound the way he used to. They were at their peak during the Still Searching era. I miss those days.
In your opinion they were. I honestly think every album after Still Searching is much better, musically. You can literally track Buddy (and co's) growth as musicians. So much more depth in later albums
I love how fantastically irrelevant this is to subjectively being able to hear that he's factually flat. Reminds me of people that play out of time and say "I don't play in a box, I just play. it's not supposed to be any 'way'." no dude, there's a tempo; that tempo has subdivisions. you are not within any of them.

I like the way he sounds on both versions. It sounds more raw and uncut than most overproduced sounding songs and bands.
