Education is important more ppl need this all my friends think i am crazy. They do not understand a honey bee cheers

I agree. It is very beneficial for many people to have a few bees in many spots more so than a few people having a lot of bees in one spot. It is however difficult for someone with little experience to keep their bees alive with the various pests, pesticides, diseases, and etc that we deal with nowadays. Education is the only thing that can help bridge that inexperience.

This is great! Thanks so much! My 10 yr old son is absolutely adamant that he is going to be a bee keeper “when he grows up” and this has been his fascination for over a year, he’s constantly telling me “fun facts” about bees and honey and I see it is time for me to get him supplies for his first little hive to see what he thinks. I guess I’m going to have to learn this, now, I’m afraid of bees so wish me luck
If you have any advice or recommendations on where to start for a south Texan mom of 6 to be able to manage a hive I’m all ears! There’s nothing I won’t read 😌
As a mom you know when your kids get that passion for something they’ll never drop. He’s been obsessed with bugs since he could walk. Haha
