For the exhaust camshaft you can put it back with a big flat screwdriver. You putting it between the gears till you aligned and put the save bolt (hexagon ). For intake camshaft if mistakenly you dismatel the vvti tube properly you have to buy another one. I haven't tried to divide but I know is very difficult to set it back.
I have been watching your videos for the 2GRFE timing chain and now the 2UZ cam shift timing settings. You have a great wealth of knowledge! For the 2UZ I had a machine shop adjust set the valve lifter buckets and pucks, but the service bolt on the exhaust gears was too short and did not align the gears. Now I’m afraid that the valve adjustment might be off.
Reinstalling heads, and my crappy repair book doesn't make a single mention of lining up the dots on inside of cam gears. Right side is 1 dot to 1 dot I can see from your video, but didn't get a glimpse of left side. Is it 2 to 2 on that side or also 1 to 1? So far I'm thinking 2 to 2 since you're saying the service bolt is buried when it's lined up. Just want to confirm.
This is priceless information thank you ! Now this might be a stupid question but : through the process of timing belt change, I somehow managed to have to driver side cam off the mark. So crank on 0 pass side cam on the mark, driver side isn't, how do I proceed without bending the valves ? (Because I can't turn it back right? ) I was gonna do the cam seals next, but I don't want to take anything apart before I know how to safely move the cam to it's time
Very informative video. You say to replace cam shaft seal you remove inside gear on intake shaft. Does the gear slide off the front or over the cam to the back?
Thank you bro nice video from AFRICA (Ghana 👍🏾🛠🛠🛠
👍....Thanks.
Thanks brother. Note, drivers side cams must be turned to double dots touching, in order to insert the service bolt through the exhaust gears.
Thank you...
So if you lost the alignment how do you put it back in alignment?

You sliding back and passing the seal through the spot where the gear is tied.
Passing through again the new seal and assembling back the gear.
Nice video 📸📸📸📸📸 brother 👍👍👍👍
