This is by far the BEST video I have come across for laying down the essentials of Digital Transformation. Great work, Eric. You have earned a subscriber for life.
I’ve yet to be in a major enterprise who is spending many tens millions of dollars the last 5 yrs that can 2 or more persons in their org can give a coherent and consistent definition of Dx. The Theory of Constraints Strategy and Tactics Trees org alignment framework (or similar) are critical for the years it takes to execute these initiatives.
@Erik. Absolutely SV, IS and any kind of Partners, the Big 5 are all biased to optimize revenues. They are often prescriptive officially. No single App or platform will solve all aspects of Digital Transformation. In fact, in most cases, clients are not clear on what Digital Transformation is and what are they expecting to implement. A neutral consulting engagement is the way to go.
Thanks for the videos, I like them VERY MUCH and also would like to learn more about digital transformation in more systematic way. Because I have been watching them randomly as per youtube's recommendations. Eric, could you please suggest videos to watch in step-by-step way, in a kind a road map way. Thank you.
The line about meeting resistance from implementing structure and discipline to a sales driven environment made me laugh (in a good way). I am in sales and SQUIRREL! I have found that discipline and structure are painful necessities, even meditations. A great salesperson balances the wild and tame like wings on a plane, but we do tend to err on the side of the ether.
Thanks Eric. Appreciate if you could throw more insight into Strategy v/s Planning with an example. Coz even at strategy you will have numbers and at planning you will have numbers (both are perceived)..But has a great difference
Thanks Eric. Could you please suggest how a transformation manager learn new technologies to make recommendations to the business without engaging actual vendors? This would be prior to the vendor selection process for a particular business usecase.

@Eric - your last step of "Building the case of change", won't it be after step 1 & 2, perhaps in conjunction to the change readiness? Thoughts?

Don’t talk to any experts.. that was his intro?
So why was your interview with walker Reynolds so subservient
I suppose you could say I am subservient with all of my guests - I like to ask a lot of questions and listen...
If I were Claus Schwab
Lmao this guy, yea don’t use salesmen…
