Some of the GMs and HCs are so smooth in interviews after newly being hired they’re just amazing. And yet there seems to be no correlation between top-tier public speaking skills and later success with their football teams.
Love this show, love you guys. I'm not a Jets fan, but I've personally never disagreed with a human beings suggestions for fixing teams more than I disagree with Steve's takes lol. That being said it wasn't a bad interview. Getting Sauce off the golf course is a must have clause in the contract. I'd still hire.
Steve, YES! And consider hiring Sam as the head coach. I suggest managing the team from an overhead booth, sitting at a table with Sam and relaying comments to some one on the bench.
Based on his resume, Steve is at LEAST as qualified as Joe Douglas was. Plus his intimidating height could help somewhat in contract negotiations, at least with the shorter players.
Having lived through an NFL commentator becoming the GM of my Detroit Lions back in the day who proceeded to completely wreck the team for years to come, I am sad to say i cannot support Steve for GM.
There are two ways to go with the stache Sam which are as follows: John Waters Pencil Moustache Innovative Barcode moustache (I'm sure you can work that out)
Cmon Jets! Just hire Steve! Give him that guaranteed contact and hell, if he isn’t good, you’re in the same place you are now! BUT if he is good, you have a past PFF analyst who HAS THE MODEL for draft picks hahaha 😅
3:58 if you’re not going to get the young offensive guy in Ben Johnson you might as well get a proven winner and culture builder in Vrable. I don’t see the point in hiring a defensive mind worse than the one you just fired.
Forget the Jets, you need a spot on the Eagles next to Big Dom and Sirianni with that mustache. How exquisitely Italian.

Honestly, if I was a GM or coach candidate, I would pull a Ben Johnson and avoid the Jets like the plague unless the Johnson family sells
That 'stash makes Steve look like he promises to give little kids candy and a puppy if they'll climb into his windowless white van.
Gold
Kirk and Aron had sane injury and almost same numbers 17-9 17-7..that Achilles tear take another year to feel normal

We’ll take Steve down here in Jacksonville to push the Jaguars to the top of the AFC South. How hard could it be?
There's no way Steve could be any worse than Joe Douglas. I think Woody should give it a shot
Is that Kenny Powers?
HGH Ron Jeremy? Hard pass...
Lmao
Well-played, Sir

The athletic: here's a long nuanced convo on how to rebuild the jets
