It's got to the point where it's not even guys with too much time on their hands any more, businesses are doing this stuff as part of subtle marketing campaigns... not to mention UA-camrs after clicks.

I keep seeing light beacons in the sky above Wakefield, far brighter than aircraft lights or spinning satellites

There are no restrictions. Just fly from a public area and you will be fine
