I remember buying them for around $10 in the 80's & 90's, back then you could order them directly from the Mint, no middle man jacking up the prices.
Screw Costco…support your local coin shop…you’ll need them around in the future world.

Costco is publicly traded … anyone can own their shares… they are a great credible company … the consumer should always go to whoever is giving them the safest & most convenient experience at the best price … it’s a global market .. business is business …

I too am thankful I bought ASEs back in January between $26 to $27.50. Haven't bought any since then and I am not selling. I am not a Costco member....too far from my house for the membership to be worth it
I think that Costco is buying from the APs and other big dealers. Crazy how high premiums are for eagles now. May be because Costco bought so many

I recently bought a proof silver eagle at an antique mall it was a type one, which I prefer.
I'm working on getting a tube from all the major mints, but when I'm done with that, I plan on stacking just ASEs and 90% dime, quarters, and Half's... And may stack a tube or two of silver peace dollars and Morgans... I'm about half way to my goal, so I suspect I'll start stacking Eagles again towards the end of this year along with the 90%... Want to get at least 5 tubes of ASE and 200 face before EOY 2026... Plus one tube from each major mint of course too😋..... But as for Costco, I did look into it here in Tacoma, and they had the 10 RCM bars, but they said they go quick... But they were glad to walk me through buying it online for either tge bars or ASE coins... Forgot the price though (sorry) but was around tge 350 price for the bar..

Overall, Silver Eagles are too high over spot, even for Costco lately. I'm only buying Silver that is less than $2 over spot.

I don't know where Costco gets their bullion, but I would guess A-Mark. FYI Silver Gold bull has their 10 Oz bars for spot until the end of May. Why would you pay extra for a new ASE, when next year it will be considered back date fot pricing. An automatic haircut. I'm on hold for awhile as far as buying.
I only buy silver eagle's when they're around 20 to 25 bucks
I have some ASE's, but I pretty much ignore them now. Lots of great, interesting rounds that I would rather have. I usually go for generic rounds and bars, but there is a British set of coins that I really like, which is the Tudor Beasts.
I don't understand the hype with ASE's. I grabbed some Britannia's last or so for $1.99 over spot. And also got some very nice rounds from Scottsdale Mint. An ounce is an ounce. 🤷
I'm only ratio swapping and grabbing numis & semi numis. That's it.

The mint has ceased production of the nickel and the dime for 2024…so far.
I bit the bullet and bought one each of the 2024 P,D, and S nickels on ebay. The P and D are from rolls and the S is a proof. It cost me $12. I figured in case they don't make any more nickels, at least I'll have a couple of them! A price of $12 is high, but it won't break the bank!
Where was is stated. A report? I been saying since 2022 production has to stop short one of these years because they been pumping out too much since 2021...

I try to buy from private individuals. You can haggle a bit depending on how bad they need cash
ask your local shop if they have any "impaired" eagles and what they would sell them to you for. I picked up two from local shop recently. One at +1$ over spot and one they got in was plated in gold they sold it to me at spot. Just something neat to add to the stack.

Today on eBay using 2% rewards credit card to pay = $31.45 each net cost for 100 random year Silver Eagles, five tubes from JM Bullion. Using a 3% PayPal Rewards Credit Card to pay would = $31.13/each net cost. I wanted to finish filling my monster box before the cost for Silver Eagle gets way out of hand and the buying window for normal thinking people closes again.

Once the Fed switches from QT to QE later this summer, PMs will crash. The only thing that would turn that around would be when the Fed starts dropping the federal funds rate.

@@SmithsnMoz Crypto will be useless after the 1st EMP gets set off. It is almost useless in States like CACAfornia, as PG&E will turn the power off any time the wind blows.
Wrong, QE is inflationary and under those specific circumstances the only thing that would stem the rising cost of metal is a balanced congressional budget, and a hefty expansion of paper contract shorts in the market simultaneously. Without the expansion of paper contracts, metals will equalize to the monetary base over the coarse of the next decade, assuming they stop inflating.
@@TheThreadofLifeInc You need to research 'macro compass' for where money flows when there is a transition from QT to QE and the fed funds rate stays the same or goes higher.

@@MrMolecularscientist We are showing things in our videos. Better than just looking at articles (which I used to do) I don't do a lot of heavy editing in my videos, much of it for a reason. Maybe you should start your own UA-cam channel and show us how it's done. I just hope it's better than how you form sentences and type. All those dots are annoying. It's hard to take anyone seriously if they can't put two sentences together. As "President" Joe Biden and YOU would say: C'mon man!
