    Hopefully Qantas upgrades their A380 fleet too. Some of their A380’s has a refreshed cabin, but sitll have older screens and older seats.

    Would be better if they also added a small premium economy cabin on the A330s

    I love the A-330 economy class layout (2-4-2)
    These bi-folding tables tend to lose its horizontality fast (objects slide down)
    I hope Qantas gets rid of the IFE box underneath the seat (takes a lot of room)

    Considering the current situation with delayed new aircraft deliveries, it’s a GREAT strategy! It’s unfortunate the waste of money in updating older aircraft but just the new reality…

      Aviation industry: We want to order some cabins.
      Suppliers: Sorry, we first have to deliver the cabins to the airlines. After that you can get them too.
      How to increase a bottle neck issue even more. 🤷😉

    I hope they upgrade the soundproofing. Those A330-200 aircraft engines sound like their in the seat beside you. Bangkok to Sydney, deaf upon arrival.

    no matter what they do, i always get a sore back from the flight from the seats. This is why im very reluctant to travel overseas from Australia.

    Also in Manila,The Philippines., soon they used another A330 from Brisbane to Manila

    Completely overdue. I flight Qantas enough to be platinum and boy is the a330's showing their age. Every flight I've had in recent memory has had something wrong with the seat or entertainment.
    From broken device holders to tray tables that can't eject. Certainly puts a dampener on the experience.

      unlikely. They already have the 787 and will get the A350. The A330 will most likely be replaced by additional 787. They're too small of an airline to operate all three models

    Qantas should also consider purchasing A330-800neo fleet replacing their aging A330-200s and A330-900neo fleet replacing the -300. From once upon a time, a beautiful A330 aircraft that was a queen of the skies since the 90's, now the A330neo, same aircraft, but even better!

      @ personally I hate the 787s as my experience was horrible on board it but it is what it is.

    Being a bit taller hate travelling on A330s as they are so closely set up hence avoid any airlines A330 flights. You are packed in like sardines

    A350-900ULR already exist for singapore airline. Why create an A350-1000ULR ?

      Twelve special ultra-long range (ULR) versions of the A350-1000 are being custom-built for Qantas, with Airbus fitting an additional fuel tank to ensure its globe-striding range. The first Qantas A350-1000ULR's will be the backbone of the non-stop ‘Project Sunrise’ network for direct flights from Sydney and Melbourne to New York and London, beginning in the back half of 2026.

      In addition to what was mentioned before the -1000ULR will also have less payload restrictions than the -900ULR

      The A350-900ULR is payload limited to get the range (Singapore Airlines only has 161 seats on their 900-ULRs). Qantas wants around 300 seats on those aircraft *and* the range. They can't get that with the 900-ULR.
      SQ gets 161 seats in 2 classes (business and premium economy) on their 900-ULRs
      QF is getting 238 seats in 4 classes.

    Something not touched on here is the fact the current a330s are so far behind its a joke. Using these 330s for MEL-SIN route that don't even have screens and into wifi is a joke. Jetstar at least fly a 787. Ridiculous it's taken this long

    A330's no longer on cross continent flight - replaced with inferior 737's, as no longer any A330 competition. Lower standard overall. Qantas just has too many old aircraft as per Joe Aston's book. Better competition needed

    It seems as if Qantas can't get aircraft deliveries fast enough .
    Being let down by manufacturers.
