Okay, this is something I need to address. I’ve put it off for far too long, but now is the time.
    The I.S.O. vs. “eye-so” debate. Let’s go.
If you’re new to photography, here’s a brief recap for you: The proper pronunciation of ISO has been quite a debate in the industry for several years. It’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but you have your diehards on both sides. Some adamantly proclaim that the right way to say it is “I.S.O.” (like an acronym), while others take their stand with the “eye-so” camp.
So which one is actually correct? Just to be clear, I’m not hating on anybody. You can say it either way and still be alright in my book. But for what it’s worth, here’s my take on the whole debate (because all of the videos I’ve seen on the subject have it completely and totally wrong).

Ok..I’m keeping this one on hand for a long time. That actually deserves an Emmy or Oscar or something along those lines. Performance well done. The ending was the best part.

It was either you used I.S.O or A.S.A when I first started, hardly noticed when ASA was dropped.

I use a light meter. But sometimes the light meter makes it too bright. I’ll use the light meter as a starting point and make adjustments as needed. Great video.

Why are people so afraid of ISO too? That’s something else that bugs the hell out of it me and needs to be addressed.
Some rather reduce their shutter speed so much and risk motion blur than getting their ISO above 1600. Or they take a large group shot at f2.8 and would prefer to get some people out to focus just to avoid a little noise in their photos.
What has the world come to? A bunch of no good pixel peeping cry babies!!! And then they criticize my images if they see a little noise. **slams table and takes a shot of whiskey 🥃** I don’t give a flipping ISO if i get a little noise, don’t judge my photos if I get my ISO up to 3200.
