I do have a question though, so if I have a HDD with lots of data on a partition on NTFS, and the remainder 1TB for example is on a different partition same HDD on Exfat so it Just reads this 1TB partition but asks me to format to be used so will it format just this additional partition to be used or the whole HDD?

If I change my format will It harm anything? My ps5 is not reading my usb hard drive but I see all my ps4 games on the 5
@@najeewashington8142 if needing to change the format. Back up your data. Changing format will remove your data.
@@najeewashington8142 when using external hard drive for ps5 it is required to format for ps5 before using external hard drive as game storage. This option is available in the ps5 external hard drive setup.
My SSD isn’t registering & I can’t find any info….
If it is an external drive, & you look in the video on how to get to external drive options, you can format the drive to get it ready for ps5. Make sure you select for games or video, you can only chose one or the other.
