You’re ticking literally every box, I just watched your video on Ryan Trahan’s thumbnails and I watched all the way through and clicked on this video on the end screen. I am proof that UA-cam is pushing out your videos as I’ve never seen any of your videos. Good job man, expect to have thousands more people flocking in. I am one of many
Well, considering this guy can choose what video goes on his end card screen, I’d imagine it’s his. And at the very end of the video, after the end ad or something, UA-cam will generally promote another video from same creator.
I love how you showed different channels of different niches, not just the big channels that almost every youtuber talk about, leaving out the other channels. Your videos are always informative and great to watch! Thank you for sharing 😊
chapters are possible, but usually people don't have them like MrBeast. Though, if you use it right with like questions which will make the viewer watch the part, it can be beneficial.
This is one great lessons for every small UA-camrs. I really appreciate. I need to write this down. I won't be surprise if this video get millions of eyes in 30 days.
I’ve followed Leon Hendrix since he had 900 subscribers and the video you talked about had a completely different thumbnail when he uploaded, but he changed it and the views exploded! Great video, and I really liked how the thumbnail you talked about usually included another strategy so you had me guessing what it would be all the way
Amzing video, Tyler! Another thing I've noticed with conventionally successful thumbnails, also shown in your saturation idea, is the contrast in color temperature. Warm-toned foregrounds/subjects contrasted on a cool-toned background are pretty common amongst the MrBeast and Airrack type channels. There's another trend to use a saturated grass and sky background (cool-toned, green/blue) with a face or subject in the foreground (warm-tone, red/orange). MrBeast gaming does these really well, usually a younger demographic thumbnail.
Tyler: Thanks for the consult and for your generosity with your time! Thanks for sending me the thumbnail that you QUICKLY created for me. I may book another consult for tomorrow or in the near future. 😀
@@TylerF One of my YT short vids is basically an amped up first 60 secs of a longer vid (except I removed the intro). Can the thumb for the short have the same text as the long form vid thumb? Or is that not the best practice? Thanks.
I’m subscribed to the big boys in the UA-camr academy type videos. Think media, channel makers, nick Nimmin, Patty G etc, etc. This is by far the best video I’ve seen on thumbnails, and well probably act as my guild moving foward.
Alright I subscribed for this one. I'm on a binge right now changing my thumbnail almost every night for my newest video because it has high retention. But I still can't seem to nail these things.
Wow! This was super educational, and I'm in awe on how you only have 2.6k subs. You definitely go the extra mile with these videos, especially with identifying all these types of thumbnails! Will definitely need to use this for my next video! WOW! For feedback, all I can suggest is shortening up the end CTA, as I felt like it was a little drawn out, and you might have received a retention drop at the very end of the vid. Other than that, incredible video! BTW, could we possibly get in touch? I would love to chat about UA-cam regarding thumbnails, ideas, retention, and other things that could improve the vids, even if we're in different niches. Even just 2 minutes of chatting could go a long way! Cheers, and keep creating!👍
New follower, came from the Ryan Trehan thumbnail breakdown (great stuff, love the orange jump suit) you’re about to take off! Got my 🔔 set to “all”. Bravo ✨📈
I never used quotes in my thumbnails so I am going to try that and will also try using a weird string of numbers to attract attention. Thank you for another great video!
The editing, storytelling were just beautiful. Really learned a lot from this video. Hope your channel reach more people. Just subscribed to you. Can't wait for more videos. One more thing, can make a video on relationship based creators like Emma Chamberlain, Casey neistat, etc. Can you make a video on What makes them stand out from the rest of the crowd?etc.
What a Gem Peace .I was always curious about what made me click to a video, what's the Strategy and you have solved all the pieces together of this puzzle. Blessings
This is such a valuable video! Awesome job man, for real. Ps: I'm struggling with an idea for my next thumbnail. Which format would you choose to promote "a tech earphone brand (Nothing, from Carl Pei) you are sure is gonna break the competition in 2022?" Would put it in contrast with apple airpods? Would you consider some sort of pixelated effect? Thank you very much!
Well there's a lot of channels out there covering tech, so I suggest in general you should find a unique angle. Instead of just reviewing the earphones like everyone else does, try covering a new angle. Like I'm curious to here what the next product they'll launch will be? Or maybe a controversial opinion like they're way better than Airpods Pro, idk. A comparison format might work great here.
I actually found it so interesting to see Mr Beast's thumbnail after I did buried alive. My thought process with the thumbnail to make it super shocking was to have a sense of depth and perspective. I thought it would be super important for the coffin or person to really look like they were very deep in the earth. When Mr Beast released this thumbnail I was surprised it was so popular because in my opinion it didn't show "real" danger, he looks like he's only a ft in the ground and therefore not very scary to me. However... I was wrong. People didn't seem to mind that his thumbnail kind of reduces the stakes of the burial
Interesting perspective. Has it occurred to you that UA-cam may only send out your video in proportion to your channel size? So you're only allowed to go "so viral"? Mr. Beast already accumulated X subscribers to be able to science his 50 M views? And your video was 'only' able to reach 300K views bc your channel is proportionally smaller? Idk though. I've seen channels that NEVER post new content/ stopped posting have a video still achieve a million views, with very little subscribers in comparison to views.

^yes, exactly the same as I did lol
WAS ABOUT TO SAY THIS, That's a really smart trick to use
This channel is gonna blow up.

Great thumbnail video with amazingly clear explanations and visual examples. You deserve to have 100K subs already. Here's to that! 🍻
Appreciate all the effort you put into this video, it was really helpful, I see you being really big one day.
Totally didn't know 80% of users are in dark mode. Thanks for that!
This was a great classification on popular thumbnails, thank you.
I struggle so much with thumbnails and this just gave me so many ideas to change my old ones. Great work!
Happy to help! 😃
You're gonna be going places Tyler! Great video and really hope you get more exposure man
This was the perfect video for understanding different, successful thumbnail types
Woah the research and editing behind this is crazy
Thanks! Haha took me a while
Very well presented bro! Could have utilised Video Chapters tho. Whats your opinion about chapters?
Lmao, out of all Indian UA-camrs you are one of different folks who is actually learning this craft. Props to you, my guy.
chapters are possible, but usually people don't have them like MrBeast. Though, if you use it right with like questions which will make the viewer watch the part, it can be beneficial.
Thank you! Ah yeah, I might have to add those in
And he added them in! 😅
what is chapter?
This is one great lessons for every small UA-camrs. I really appreciate. I need to write this down. I won't be surprise if this video get millions of eyes in 30 days.
That would be incredible! Let's do ittt 😈
absolutely monstrously good quality video - easily the definitive encyclopaedia of thumbnails

Here at 1.17K subs, but this channel is definitely gonna blow up. The storytelling, content, and editing is too good. Subbed for the ride.

Great categorization of thumbnails and I like at the end that you mentioned hooks and titles also matter.

This is perfectly made for what it's meant to be, solid comprehensive and overarching guide to youtube's thumbnail landscape
This video is great for those looking to get inspired for variations on their abc thumbnail testing.
