Thank you for sharing this without music or flashy editing. It’s one of the best huey ride videos imo because of this, plus the door position. Perspective so good I can almost feel the climb at 1:47 in my stomach. It’s got some getup! Great video
My medic and I sat on the floor behind the AC and PP. That way the wind didn't beat the shit out of us all the time. Lots different flying as a crewmember. Wore a helmet and didn't have to listen to all the moving parts that we knew were all going to go to hell in a couple of minutes.
Was für ein toller Ritt, wäre ich gern dabei. Stelle mir vor, an was für zahlreichen Sicherheitsbedenken und Spaß vernichtenden Vorschriften die Behörden in "diesem unserem Lande" krepieren würden...
Flew in Huey 369 one of our old ships a couple of times in the last 5 years. I have about 600 hours as a GIB of a Dustoff Huey, scared shitlless all the time but it was the best job I ever had.
It was indeed awesome. If you can find a place to take a ride like this, I highly recommend taking the opportunity to experience it. I loved every moment of it.
P-51, F-14A (with TF-30s), on the ball on final, landing on a carrier, and of course, the UH-1H are the most iconic sounds in aviation. -Change my mind.
That's exactly the song which began playing in my mind when the bird went skids up! Then "Paint It Black" by Rolling Stones! Ahh, those were the days...!
@@thatderangedbunny In some cases an helmet can save you. For example if the helicopter makes an hard landing and turn over...And the crew has helmet !!
That take off was f****** Awsome, almost felt like I was there 😎🤘

I feel the same way about videos like this… the aircraft should be the focus. Makes watching so much more enjoyable.
Brings back the days in the Marine Corps, New River Air Station back in 1972. Thanks for that!
Glad to assist with the reminisce

That’s no fun. If you visit the US, try to find an airfield that does this, it’s incredible.

Such an experience most can never understand. I’m a little jealous.
That looks awesome!

Where is this place.
All the info is in the video description.
It is crazy ! No helmet for the passengers in this old shopper....but if you want to ride a motorcycle helmets are mandatory
If you crash in a helicopter, a helmet isn’t saving you.

Not sure. You could ask Friends of Army Aviation through their website.

Hopefully one day you can visit the United States and take a ride one day!
A según hasta donde yo entiendo jamás debe de caminar al frente de un helicóptero
Pero si agacha la cabeza si
Not sure, but they allowed to do this and for as many times I watched passengers get on and off, there were no problems
