It was an absolute bargain even with some of the discs missing. I have an original set and this one is clearly identical and 100% genuine. A lot of idiots commenting that it's fake and you've been scammed. You haven't, most likely someone's put the discs in a case or a machine and forgot to return them to the box. You could sell each individual disc for as much as you paid for the box, maybe more, but you could just play them and enjoy what you've got.
I should think you would be REALLY happy for $20 dollars. Most were there and if someone offered you all those mono CDs plus the 2 stereo CDs you would be very happy. I think you have a original copy complete with the spiderwrap lines from the shop
the missing CD's are a bummer, especially the White Album because finding this in Mono is so hard. you do have Sgt. Pepper and other albums so I think you made out okay.
I have the White Album from the CD Beatles 2009 mono box set from Ebay. I am trying to determine if it is a non-fake. The packaging looks great and it has the proper matrix numbers on the bottom sides of the CDs. It has the short Helter Skelter and the Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da without the hand clap. I heard with some of the fakes the music for Disc 1 is on Disc 2, haha, or the music is in stereo. I can't tell much of a difference between I'm So Tired between the 1987 stereo CD and my mono one.
Well, the bad news is, as far as I know none of the mono versions are available separately, so you might have some trouble tacking down the missing C.D.s (Best of luck in finding those) But I do think it's cool that you were able to pay only $20..00, PLUS you got Abbey Road and Let It Be throw in for compensation. Fun fact: Abbey Road and Let It Be WERE actually available in mono, but they were made especially the island countries of The South Pacific, where many people were so poor that they didn't have stereophonic record players. However, these were fake mono. This was known as "Fold Over" mono where you take a stereo mix, and rechannel it so everything comes out of one speaker. I've never owned one of these albums, not ever heard one, so I can't comment on the sound quality, but they existed at one time. Again, best of luck finding the missing mono versions from your collection, because they are quite unique.
lol, you DON'T have all the albums if the CDs are missing in some! When collecting record albums that always means the records or the discs so you have several units with covers only.
If things look to good to be true, mostly it isn't true. I don't know if you want to have a fake set just to see one, but if you did want an original ... there are a lot of videos on UA-cam with warnings. Tru cdjapan to find the missing ones. Good luchmk and take care.
That looks 100% original. Just a few discs missing. Everything that is there looks genuine. The fakes rarely bother with the replica inners and use plastic baggies instead and the Apple on the box is exactly as it should be which is usually where the fakes fall down.

Why didnt you check the box before buying????
Still worth the money you paid.👍
But... it's $20. Yep. It's worth it.
Too good to be true! If you want, I could give you copies of the discs that are missing.
You bought it without checking the contents?
