Thank you, Zack, for reacting to Lucy singing this in her mid-teens. It was amazing how well she was able to emote feelings that she likely had not had then or maybe even now. Powerful emotions come through while maintaining musicality throughout. She has range and power though uses only the power needed to convey the emotions. What a mature performer as a youth! Lucy has a complete set of vocal techniques and the most beautiful, emotional voice that I have ever heard. Lucy is phenomenal. Thank you again.

I’m not sure what we are going to get in London. As far as I can gather the first half will be films/musicals which limits the number of songs. She may stick to some of the songs from Manchester (I think She Used To Be Mine is a given). It will be interesting to see if she brings out anything new in Tokyo. With the Rosie showcase taking the second half and supposedly with all the songs from the show appearing there is little time for anything else. With the announcement today of a further male singer joining Will Callan this increases the chance of “My Homeland” being included, something I couldn’t envisage until now. It will certainly be interesting with further announcements possible ie who will sing ‘I Still Believe in Love’.
Zack, an interesting thing about this one. When Lucy does the flip to high tones there's almost a feeling of juggling notes. There's a little bounce in the transition. Just another beautification from Lucy. Also, when she reached and went up step-by-step to higher register, one can still understand the lyrics, her excellent vibrato is still evident, and although pushing it she does not reach into screeching.
Lucy crushed this as usual. Keep in mind also that she was 18 (I think?) when she recorded this while Whitney did hers in her early 30s. I’d love to Lucy sing this again when she’s 25.

Zack, sorry to say there are a few Lucy fans that are overly aggressive in the defense of what they perceive as slights to Lucy Thomas. They charge in like avenging angels at the slightest imagined provocation. It is best just to ignore them. Since Lucy greatly admires Whitney Houston, criticizing Whitney would not be pleasing to Lucy. Lucy has done a few covers of songs that Whitney Houston has sung and after hearing them, it is my opinion that Lucy sounds better. Without a doubt Whitney had a unique and beautiful voice, but Lucy has become my favorite. There are a lot of amazing female vocalists out there, but for me Lucy is the best. You always do great reactions to Lucy, but like anyone else, you are entitled to have your favorite. Please keep on reacting to Lucy Thomas.
Well said I totally agree with people's sentiments regarding Lucy's voice (although I strongly suspect some technological aids in her studio mastering) which Whitney wouldn't have had because such recording techniques hadn't been invented, I love Lucy's warm and soft tones aswell as her powerful range but cannot tolerate the overly protective fans who are seemingly trying to Daddy her and react nastily if anyone tries to suggest another singer is still their favourite.

However, I have watched videos of Lucy singing that were not done in a studio and not published on Lucy's UA-cam channel. Some of these videos were done outdoors and some were charity events or private performances. In most if not all of these videos Lucy sounds just as good as she sounds in her studio recordings. Until someone from Lucy's group such as Chris Broom comes out and admits that Lucy is autotuned or pitch corrected, I will remain skeptical of the testimony of some fly-by-night UA-camr using questionable instrumentation. As far as the overly protective fans, we are definitely on the same page.
How would that 'taint' it when the singer in question is paying homage by literally singing their song? Is her song tainted by covering someone else's? Silly thing to say.
