You are quite right, Zack - Lucy can sing almost any genre and has this natural ability to beautify and improve any song that she covers! She has just performed her second public concert in Tokyo, Japan, and has her third public concert on Oct 22nd in London at the iconic Theatre Royal Drury Lane - an event not to be missed by purist music lovers! 😊
I absolutely adore Lucy’s voice and the quality she brings to the songs she sings. Her ability to sing slow ballad type songs is without compare but I genuinely wish she would include more uptempo type of songs just to show off her ability to sing different genres. ❤
Even screaming she does with class and pitch perfect😏 Not a one trick pony with the moans of an 80 year old or ill chosen hoopla to hide vocal inabilities, just lovely perfection. Thanks for supporting her.
Hello Zach, once again thank you for supporting Lucy " I Don't Want To Miss A Thing, this is such a great cover by Lucy, how many times have I said that, Well Lucy was in Tokyo yesterday for a live concert it was a full house & the Japanese people loved her, it was such a great success she sang 19 songs & she also sang a song in Japanese which the audience really loved, she had such an amazing standind ovation at the end, the concert was filmed so there might be a DVD coming out from it. As a rabid and core fan for about four years now, I have never been as impressed and also taken by any singer as I have by Lucy. She is something special for sure I am curious how you get this wonderful inside info on Lucy's travels. I really appreciate that. And yes, I already own her complete set of Lucy's autographed Albums and would definitely buy any and every live concert DVD that would be made available. I asked Lucy on Cameo about a possible DVD of the Manchester concert. She said there would not be one, but she would suggest it for the London concert, so that those of us who can't make a concert can still see it if we buy a DVD. Hopefully, they end up doing that. I've got all her CDs and would love to support her with any DVDs as well. She is fabulous!

Zack, I agree with all you say about Lucy. Her diction is very good giving that "clean" feeling, On this piece, the first phrase right out of the gate has emotion in it. You know this is a love song. Also note the number of times she brings her hands to her chest including herself in the feeling of this song. Lucy brings tears to my eyes with the emotion she can show. BTW, check out "EVERGREEN". Hher amazing breath carries the last note out to 5 or 6 bars and even brings in her fantastic vibrato at the very end . Amazing.
Awesome - Thx Zack!! Lucy has some musical genius to her - tough song to cover especially if you try to mimic the very unique "screams" of Steven Tyler. You may want to check out her cover of "Whiter Shade of Pale" - One of my favorite songs ever, but I think if you tried to sound like Procol Harum and their epic original sound it would not work. Lucy's version is beautiful and elegant and different - She "Lucy'd it" Thx!
Zack, great reaction! I saw the movie but didn't remember the song. So Lucy's cover was the first time I remember hearing the song. After listening to Lucy's version, I went back and listened the Aerosmith version. I hatted it! But then, I grew up listening to country music and the rock and roll of the 60's and 70's. Never liked hard rock and definitely not heavy metal. I was in choir in high school and we sang mostly semi-classical and show tunes. I was also in the English Madrigal group. So if it had screaming in it I did not like it. I do not begrudge anyone their taste in music, but there are somethings that are just not for me. I guess that is why I love listening to Lucy Thomas so much.
Great reaction Zack . You could try Procol Harums "A Whiter shade of Pale" with complete nonsensical lyrics, or the jazzy live version of Etta James's "At Last". I don't think Lucy's into Rap or Hip hop. Covering Def Leppard or grunge might be pushing it a bit too far far her exceptional voice.
