You had me hooked from the get go then the plot twist at the end shocked me lol. I may have to check out The Maidens now. I read The Silent Patient and gave that 4 stars so maybe I’ll like it.

I don't think I like Alex Michaelides I gave the silent patient 2 stars very predictable I gave the fury 1 star the writing style was like nails on a chalkboard and the maidens I gave 2 stars I was so bored

I looked up the first 2 books and they both had bad ratings... why not read the greatest books in history first? you know the time tested ones that are actually vital. Like Being and Time by Heidegger, And critique of Pure reason by Kant.. A search for lost time by Proust etc
I've read two out of the three books that you read, but own the other one (and its sequel). I gave The Maidens by Alex Michaelides 4 Stars. I really enjoyed this book, and I'm glad that I read it. I gave Secret History by Donna Tartt 3.5 Stars...at the end, if I had had a physical copy, I would've chucked it across the room. Really? The last book is on my TBR, and after hearing your thoughts on it, makes me want to binge the duology. Thank you. BTW, I tried Fabel, and I really didn't like it. I had a hard time migrating all my books through their transition. It only would take about 85% of the books...which frustrated me. I contacted their support system, and they were helpful, but still, doing what they told me...only upped it to about 90%. Not fun. Plus, I struggled to keep up with the app. Mind you, it was not my ONLY app that I was using at the time. I think you HAVE to jump TOTALLY in, and not waver. For me, the app that works the best for me, is The StoryGraph. I update first on The StoryGraph, then copy it over to Goodreads, but when I tried to copy it over to Fable, the app limited the amount of characters...in the Review section...and it seemed to "dumb down" that portion, which I don't agree with. To me, it felt like The StoryGraph lite, version. They do similar things with the collecting of data, but in Fable's favour, the social media aspect of it...and building of community is their highest plus, but it wasn't/isn't what I'm there for. So, for me...I dumped the app after one month use. Just wasn't for me. Sorry.

You should definitely read the sequel to Divine Rivals--it builds way more on the fantasy elements and war between the gods!
Now that you and Ashlynn have both read Prince of Tides, you should absolutely watch the movie. It is phenomenal. Nick Nolte and Barbra Streisand.
