- Unboxing the Lenovo Tab P12 (2023) with a hands-on review of the gaming performance, stylus pen, keyboard cover and features. This 13-inch Android tablet has one of the sharpest screens at this budget price, although the Lenovo Tab P12 lacks the AMOLED panel of the Pro model. You've got respectable specs, all day battery life and expandable storage. Solid specs for 399 Euros.
Check out my full review of the Tab Extreme to see something a bit more pricey. But the Lenovo Tab P12 will suit most families, mobile workers and students, thanks to its dependable performance and flexible design. With the keyboard and stylus, this Android tablet converts into a laptop-style device. And it can be used for creative tasks, as well as editing docs on the fly.
It's a shame the Lenovo Tab P12 doesn't boast OLED screen tech, as the cinematic aspect ratio makes it ideal for watching movies. Especially if you prop the tablet up using half of the keyboard dock. Gamers can play the likes of Genshin Impact too - as long as you don't boost those graphics too high.

Nice tablet. I've got a P11+ and I'm very happy with it, it will be a couple more years before I will upgrade. Great to see they still support a pen. Couldn't live without it.

Using the magnetic pen as a remote control signify what I envision to see the exploration and expansion of enjoyable, fun features for our mobile device. It shouldn't be look at as an attempt to be lazy but it should be viewed as providing enjoyable options to increase the pleasure of using our portable devices. The multi split screen feature is a productive and exciting feature for our devices. 😎💯👍

Hi.... great video... I'm new to Tablets and have been looking to get one to link up with Zwift and Wattbike Apps... So, my silly question is (as I have no idea) - Will I be able to download and run these two apps for my static cycling home trainer?? I'm not sure if it's the same tablet but Curry's are selling the Lenovo P12 at £249 - is this last years model?? Thanks for your help.

The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro is able to switch between apps gracefully while keeping older ones running in the background, the storage, battery and mediatek SoC are good.
I saw Pad pro 12.7 2023 8GB ram and 128GB rom is around $230 in China and that cames with a snapdragon 870。I think it is the same tablet as this one.

@@StuermischeTage the cheapest deal you can get is actually around USD 200 on big sales day. My friend bought his for 220. He said it's a pretty good deal for such price but charging speed is a bit slow as it only came with a 20W charger.

One thing that would be helpful would be to always list the length x width of the tablet, as just the diagonal is not that useful when there are so many differences in the proportions from model to model. Thanks.

I bought the tablet and discovered that with certain wallpapers the image flickers on the dark areas of the Image. This also happens in certain menus with dark mode enabled. It's very strange, it seems like a software problem, because if I take a screenshot of the screen, in gallery, the picture is stable. I mention that the adaptive brightness mode is disabled. I had the tablet replaced and received another one exactly the same. Have you noticed this on your tablet?

Can you compare this with P12 and the Matt display that was recently released? How good is the matt display? I am torn between the P12 with a matt display with 128GB memory and the classic P12 with 256 GB memory. They are the same price. Is the matt display worth it? Does it make a difference for lots of reading and note-taking?
No one is talking about whether it has HDR10+, Dolby Vision and Widevine L1. Please confirm.
I have the Yoga Smart Tab 10 and the cylindrical design housing the speakers really make for an impressive setup. Does anyone have the P12 and the 10 for comparison? Would hate to go backwards in speaker quality.

Currently watching your review on this exact product. Considering I still have in my possession a Samsung S2 and a Samsung Galaxy Pro both of which work magnificently. I still have as yet to put the P12 through gaming rigors but based on your review I don't think I'll find many detractions for using this tablet as an all round entertainment device. From the printed literature from Lenovo it appears that there are replaceable parts which puts it ahead of many other tablets in the market. Would be interested in seeing your review in say 6mo or greater.

Drawing is still best on ipad. The apple pencil + procreate is still king
It's $400 (full kit) in US.
The only drawbacks are 60Hz display and short battery life with whopping 10A/h battery

The P11 had a 3.5mm jack but this one doesn't? They could have made this tab so much better if they put a jack in it. Well, since I can't use my expensive headseat, I would rather go with the S9+ or the iPad Pro 12.9.

The Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.6 - chinese domestic model of the P12, actually has 144Hz screen and a better SoC while being cheaper

I would buy this in a heartbeat but you cant get it anywhere in Australia and its *impossible* to get the keyboard and pen accessories and even Lenovo Australia say they cant get it all in one pack ... even though the Lenovo US website said theyre ready to ship?!?!

I was considering buying this tablet but opted for the samsung tab s9 fe instead. This tablet might have a slight edge on audio and display, but lenovo just has a relatively bad track record when it comes to giving timely software updates for their products. And in general, I think samsung just supports their devices, software wise, for a longer period of time compared to lenovo. It's such a shame since this tablet seems to have a lot of great things going for it, but I just can’t compromise when it comes to that.
its true about samsung devices, I still have Samsug Tab S 10.5inch (2014) and note 5, both devices still working. I think in US. there is a law now that smarth devices must have at least somewhere in between 3-5 years of support (technical/OS/etc) after retirement or release of that generation. Just like what happen to LG V60 (smarthphone) retired in 2020, it wont get any more OS update after Android 13. For Apple, up too five years OS update, i just updated my Iphone XS max to latest iOS 17 hopefully Apple extend OS support for another 1 or 2 years.

@@syednizam6984 I’ve been using the S9 FE (10.9) for about a week now. It’s pretty smooth and definitely faster than I expected tbh. Writing with it is great! The spen feels really light and there’s little to no delays that I’m noticing when I’m jotting down some notes here and there.

I am deciding between this and the P11 pro 2nd Gen at similar price I have my eye on.
Differences on the P11 Pro:
+ 120Hz OLED display
? Precision pen 2 as opposed to tab pen plus
- Smaller, lower res screen
- Smaller, 8000mAh battery
- Less RAM (6GB vs 8GB with P12)
Im wondering if any1 can advise. My biggest point of consideration is the screen and stylus. Im not too fussed about the OLED vs LCD, but would like the 120Hz screen cuz I hear the stylus experience is considerably better and that is pretty important for me. But, the 2GB less RAM and the smaller screen and battery are inclining me toward this P12.
Which 1 is the better option?
