Fantastic song, like Brother ( Sister ? ) Pictures of home, maybe little -- I' m alone. True Deep Purple, true spirit 1971 - 73. Maybe the best number from 1993... New guitar Player - pure 💎
You didn’t like it? Who cares, I’m sure they don’t care, DP’s been going for 56 years, still plenty of life left in the old dog. How many other bands from the 1960s are still touring and recording? Not many. * Ian Gillan, 78, joined 1969 * Roger Glover, 78, joined 1969 * Ian Paice, 75, original 1968 * Don Airey, 75, joined 2002 (replaced Jon Lord, RIP) * Simon McBride, 45, joined 2022 (replaced Steve Morse who was in DP from 1994-2022, retired to look after terminally ill wife). Still plenty of life in the old dog yet. Cheers,
Very good song and also interesting how Simon McBride is younger than the rest of the band by 30 years and this song sounds more like deep purple did before Steve morse joined rather than Simon playing a more modern sounding riff and solo overall a very good introduction for what Simon has brought to the band and as always gillan, glover, don and paicey absolutely killing it like nobody has told them they are nearly 80 years old still playing just as good if not better than they did back in the day
Paice es un baterista muy disciplinado. El pone la dosis correcta de intención de acuerdo a la composición musical. Con respecto a resaltar más su sonido en la grabación final es posible que si lo deban brillar más.
@@metalmusicmeltdown here the main problem is that the hi hat and the ride are too up in the mix but nothing can beat the weakness of the drums' ultra muddy sound on Now what?!...or the snare sound on Rapture of the Deep and Bananas...I don't understand how can these famous producers record Ian Paice so badly... it's a shame for his brilliant playing.
It's so easy to wanna judge them because they're old, but they still can put out some good tunes. Of course they're not the same as they were in the 70's and their style has changed but at least they didn't go country or top 40. Yeah. Peace
Good review I like it but ya agree on the drums and bass could have added more power but it’s the first single so I’ll give it a chance. I like new guitar player pretty solid
Ian Paice is a groove machine. Whole band sounds great. New guy has some big shoes to fill...
La banda mas grande de la historia! Larga vida a Purple!
Classic Purple 💜💜💜💜💜

Superbe! Les meilleurs!❤
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Ian Gillan is almost old enough to become president of the US.
Lol
not just yet....
Sounds like deep purple...
Sounds like Pictures of Home ....
The last of the greats.

Ezrin still hasn't learned how to record Ian Paice properly...
one of the best drummers ever.. lets lose him in the mix...
I think you’re both right , definitely a mixing / production F up , the drums just sound so thin and lost
@@icetech6 agreed
@@metalmusicmeltdown That's why Bill Ward isn't talked bout like Bonham... much better drummer lost in the mix :(

Credit to Purple for a thoughtful song and thoughtful lyrics. Old rockers often revert to cliché, so that's refreshing. The drum mix is awful.
Solid song aside from the drum sound 🤘🏻
Can't best Deep purple. So many decades, so many great musicians, so many great songs and they just keep coming
Grandes!! Deep Purple toda la vida 💜

Willing to bet that the video is compressed to fuck. The album is probably mixed well, but you're watching a UA-cam video.
What are your thoughts on the lyrics ? Ian G usually does a lot better. These are not that great.
Yeah I found the lyrics to be just “ok” pretty generic , but not awful. 🤘🏻
