Since many have pointed out (I take partial responsibility for not catching these when reviewing the draft): - At 6:20 my editor accidentally showed Kokomi's burst description when he was supposed to show Qiqi's. - At 7:25 Faruzan and Dori are not catalyst users. I told my editor for this part to show three 4 star catalyst supports and he mistakenly thought Faruzan and Dori were catalyst wielders. He admits to not having played the game much ever since 3.0 came out. Again it's my fault for not noticing them when reviewing the draft. I must've missed them since they happened quickly and I was looking at my other monitor to type out changes. Will be extra careful to avoid these errors next time - hope that doesn't stop you from enjoying the video though!
May I add, [at 6:18] under the Qiqi part you said that she is the only one in the game that doesn't generates particles, Noelle doesn't either. edit: added timestamp
For Venti they don’t need to change his kit or buff him…. They just need to stop making enemies or even objects (Klee and Kirara’s bombs) immune to his burst… even bosses should be somewhat controllable by his burst… he’s an archon and cc is getting less important so it’s not that much to ask for.
literally this a lot of people forget that Venti is a game changer, hoyo actively works to make sure that he can never control the game again by making enemies non cc’able Venti doesn’t need a buff he just needs hoyo to stop working against him, with all these new enemies and other great supports he wouldn’t break the game anymore he would just be another top tier amazing option like Kazuha
I think his burst should be able to slow down a bit big enemies, that would be interesting already against bosses, they lose a bit of their speed, would do great
I still feel like the Constellation descriptions mentioning "Max level is 15" and the existence of Level 100 enemies may be an indicator of an intent to eventually add another Ascension at Lv90, which could add another Passive Talent that might correct deficiencies in older character kits. (Copium maybe?)
stop, i really really hope this ends up happening, but i remember seeing a comment that the max level being fifteen is something to do with event buffs. but you never know so I’ll take a dose of that copium alongside you
4.0 spoilers Lyney and Freminet's c3s give NA levels, so we'll soon be able to hit level 14 on a talent (Childe passive). With a level 100 ascension, that'd be level 16. So yeah, we'd have a problem here
Max level 15.. Did you know that Childe's passive upgrades your whole party NA skill by 1? Maybe they would implement that same passive for skills and ultimate on the next patches.
A small change I would love on Ningguang is that her burst shards won't get caught/destroyed on terrain. I'm not even talking about geo constructs or destructible terrain, but there have been some many times in domains that are in rooms where I get the monsters in the corner and half of my burst will just hit the walls instead of the monsters.
I’ve legit fought bosses where I use her burst and all the star jades just fly into the air, not even at an aerial boss mind you, they just decided that their planet needs them or something
They should make her shard's like lisas attacks i know it won't make sense in physics since how can a rock go trough other rocks ahahha but i still prefer it
as a ningguang main, i find that her fluid playstyle is absolutely delightful, and i dont mind her being geo, but one ick i have is that she can't use the most out of the geo supports she can't make full use of gorou's buffs, nor does she stay on field long enough to use nas to utilise yunjin's na buff
I play Ning as a dps, so she usually stays on the field long enough to use NAs and Yunjin buff, but i don't use Ning with Yunjin, because i prefer Ning to be on double geo-pyro team, and yeah, it's better to use Gorou with Itto or Noelle, heck even Albedo, than with the Ning.
as a Ning main as well, it would be cool if she could use Shatter as a main reaction for her, it feels... So right, her attacks looks heavy and definitely make you bleed That would also benefit cyro units that were left behind on "Sumeru + Dendro era" (Hydro would gain ONE MORE REACTION to be OP but that's already it's nature lmao, Hydro impact in every single reaction xD)
@@alexprus7953 Ning can be strong, it's just requires a lot, and i mean a LOT, of investment. My Ning with full set up can do 26k per jade from the ult, 60-80k screen dmg (the highest was 97k with abyss buffs), and 35-65k charged attack. And geo can't react, so it's a good numbers for the geo unit. Especially the 4*. As for abyss runs: until Wenut abyss i was steadily 36* abyss with Ning on one side and Itto team on the second. After Wenut the abyss became dendro heavy, so it basically forced me to build separate dendro team. I still have some futage from the last abyss i was 36* with geo teams on both sides (it was 3.2 or 3.3 i don't remember), an easy clear with Ning, no retries. And overall this game is not hard enough to consider Ning as a weak unit. It's just the geo itself is not in the good spot right now, and Hoyo clearly did it dirty. Sadge.
I’m so glad that Ningguang was mentioned cause tbh the biggest issue I see with her is her C4 and how little hard it is to pair her with supports. I love playing as her but it’s sometimes annoying not being able to fully and easily pair her with others supports apart from Bennett when it comes to multiple targets. As well her C4 is practically useless, I would like to change it to something along the lines of “After 3 consecutive attacks, charge attack will now allow Ningguang to have a 12% (or any percentage) attack and charge attack speed increase”. I feel like this sort of change would make C4 useful and fix an issue about her being a bit slow, or instead of speed increase geo dmg even more but anything compared to what the C4 is now.
Her C4 is definitely useless😂. But I would change it to something like if you shoot her atks through the screen, it will increase the dmg by x%(it counts NA, CA, the gems as well). I mean something like Jayce in LoL where his shot gets buffed if it travels through the screen. That's more fun and also more skill required to take advantage of
my biggest issue with Ningguang is that she isn't a 5 star, she is super important in that archon quest yet qiqi is a 5 star. I don't even have her but it feels like an injustice
That's my bad. I told my editor to show three 4 star catalyst supports and he mistakenly thought Faruzan and Dori were catalyst wielders. I must've missed that part when reviewing the draft because it happened so quickly.
Also with how squishy and probe to staggering she is, it’s hard to play her as a main DPS without having to switch her out all the time to keep her from dying… and then you lost the burst
@@WeiYinChanHonestly, Dying can easily be solved either by Shield, Interrupt resist, or Heal. Klee's biggest problem is Her CA Knockback. The fact She has Melee range, yet Her CA has awful AoE and High Stagger can instantly ruin Her own DPS window, especially in room full of Mobs (which is common theme in Abyss these days) CC can't even help solve it because Klee will just send the enemies all over the map again. It's contradicting Her own playstyle.
@@zadokutah2315 well yes but the problem is sometimes the shield expires right after her burst starts and I can't just switch out, reapply the shield and go back. Overall I really just have problem with her burst cutting off the moment you switch out. She isn't meta enough to have that restriction on her. She would be a decent sub-dps (not even overshadowing Xiangling) if they didn't add that downside in. I accept that her attack makes enemies fly around because that's inherent to her design but the burst switching off is mind boggling stupid
the problem is that most of these are old characters that have already become victims of power creep early on in this game and have long been discarded by the dev team expecting a buff for them would just be as likely as expecting hoyo to be generous in anniversary rewards
personal opinion honestly I feel some characters don't need a buff but rather a proper rework from old characters such as Diluc and Venti's constellations Dehya's clunky-ness and etc of course with T&Cs from Hoyo allowing changes to finalized products to prevent court cases otherwise a system similar to the modules in Arknights where players can earn permanent buffs for specific older characters
Same here. At the very least doing constellation adjustments for some of the older unit's cons that feel like a wasted slot would be amazing while also possibly encouraging players to pull Cons. Doesn't need to be anything insane, but at least bringing it in line with the rest of the kit would be nice. (Especially for cases like C4 Xiao...)
Xinyan definitely needs a Rework, since she is a Pyro element that has Physical DMG skills and utilities....and a very conditional weak shield that scales with Def%.... They experimented on her kit too much....that it basically ruined her potential as a decent Pyro unit. If only her Shield strength scaled with ATK% so that I don't have to bother choosing whether she is Physical or Pyro for my Goblet. And her Lvl2 DoT shield procs immediately even in 1vs1 situations.
I feel like a lot of the early characters especially could benefit from some of their constellations and even passives being reworked. Like I find a lot of early bow characters had useless effects surrounding charged attacks when they don’t even use them. Like Amber and Venti’s C1s firing off an additional shot, Diona’s C4 decreasing aimed shot time in her burst, or Fischl’s useless passive of shooting Oz to do dmg.
@@JMike-bq6rl Xinyan doesn't even really need a rework. All she needs to function, with her kit as is, is a crafted claymore that lets her use her def to scale her offense more. A F2P available, not event-tied like Albedo's, equivalent to the Redhorn Stonethresher. As someone who picked up a Redhorn primarily to use with her, it makes her a viable enough four star DPS (though obviously, physical damage has problems, but that's on physical, superconduct, and so on, not Xinyan's kit itself). Though, admittedly, if Hoyoverse was actually willing to fix issues directly, that def scaling should just be in her kit.
I honestly think genshin needs to increase the level cap to 100 and give everyone a new talent, it'll be a great way of adjusting weaker units and giving qol improvements to stronger ones
I think Candace just needs her burst to last up to 18 seconds so she works with quick bloom Cyno at C6 (specially since she was released on his banner)
How to buff Ningguang? Well, turn her into a 5 star. I mean it won't fix all her issues but she's the one unit who deserved to be one after what she's done for the people of Liyue. I mean at least points for Ningguang for being one of the strongest 4 star DPS's.
@@yurix6072 I'm pretty sure that the original consensus was that Ningguang was supposed to be a 5 star. Her playstyle was a little different in CBT compared to what we got in the final version. I believe that she got demoted to being a 4 star because her and Noelle were the only Geo units at the time of release. In my opinion, they should've just kept Ningguang's status as a 5 star considering Noelle's "jack of all trades, master of none”, in Star Rail, Welt was the only Imaginary unit at time of release and he's a 5 star, they didn't let Ningguang be the only 5 star Geo unit at time of release.
@@yurix6072Well the Qixing don’t actually have a leader, whether de facto or de jure, each member holds the highest authority in their own expertise. It’s wouldn’t be strange if either Keqing or Ningguang was a five star, what would be strange is that none of the Qixing so far are of equal rarity. It’d make more sense if both were five stars or four stars.
I use Ningguang to handle the Golden Wolflord, and that's about it. For Traveller: It would be nice if Basic Attack levels carried over. I could understand if the Twins changed weapon type or infused their own Basic Attack depending on element, but completely forgetting how to use a normal sword is ridiculous.
I'd love a part 2 for this! Especially as an amber main, I feel like her having a buff would be great. She doesn't have to hit huge numbers, but I think something like tighnari where her charged shots are quicker after casting her skill would be great
Amber's biggest issue is that her skill doesn't do enough damage to justify its use. Distracting enemies can be useful in a few situations, but mostly it just makes enemies less predictable and harder to hit their weak points with charged shots. Setting the ground on fire is great for setting up reactions, but again, how enemies react to Baron Bunny and how long the puppet lasts is never consistent, and standing in a burning field can cause as many problems for you as it does your opponents. A possible solution is to trade off Baron Bunny's endurance for increased damage and knockback on the explosion. Another idea is to give greatly increased reaction damage if Baron Bunny is shot by a ranged character other than Amber herself. This would invite interesting pairings we would not normally see on a team, and possibly promote more co-op play.
id love a kaveh buff/rework. imo he's an amazing idea for a unit but there are two things that massively hold him back, one is that he doesn't claim ownership of cores when he pops them, the second is that he constantly hits the two bloom limit for damage output. all he needs to be a really fun budget on field nilou is to firstly claim ownership of all cores he pops, and secondly to have a passive that removes the 2 bloom limit when he detonates them. there are minor things too like his burst downtime and 80 cost need reducing
I really wish Traveler was more usable! Canonically he's very strong, but I can't justify playing the game with him. I want to experience the new kit in each region and progress with the character as part of the story, but instead I go into great story moments and immediately pop-up as Yelan as soon as any dialogue ends 😅 It's either jarring and hurts immersion, or just a drag
@@rusope1050Yes but you’d need to dedicate resources to them. As of now, only dendro traveller is of any use, all other elements are simply underpowered and see no use outside of over world. It’d be a waste to spend resin on traveller rather than say Xiangling, Bennett, etc.
@@rusope1050over world you can brute force but this video more about the abyss and genshin hard content with time limits to beat enemies. Traveler geo and anemo is not good with this
For immersion just use them during story quests. Getting them to lv. 90 helps too, Dendro MC is best so just use them with Nahida, Yelan, and Kuki and you'll do plenty of dmg. Honestly a well built XL, XQ, and Bennett can carry anyone in the overworld as well.
Ok so I’ve also got ideas for small tweaks to improve certain characters: Diluc - Boost his attack speed a little, and make the icd of his Pyro infusion a little less punishing. Qiqi - definitely let her regenerate particles during her e, and shorten the cd so the downtime is 5 or fewer seconds. And the debuffing idea is interesting. Ningguang - Her constellation 1 should be default. And add a defense double scaling to her so she can actually use geo supports. Alternatively, in my ideal five star Ningguang copium dream, her kit would revolve around crystallize. She gains stacking damage with the more crystallize shields she picks up, and if she doesn’t pick them up, the crystals explode when she uses her burst or something.
omg this would be so nice for ningguang. hmm i have heard the new fontaine geo taylor swift had leaks of something to do with crystallised shields but i’m guessing she’s a support hmm
For Diluc, just remove his passive talent that affects his CA and give him a mini/pseudo version of one of his cons. Using his skill in rhythmic format could grant Pyro dmg bonus/Atk or even buff the dmg of the skill itself for a short time. This would align with how crimson witch was basically made for him
As a Diluc main, I actually agree with this, hes pretty fine the way he is, clears any content reliably and just as fast as my other units, its just his A1 passive that seriously holds him back (plus his constellations not being a huge powerspike but its not really an issue if youre not a whale (and even then I know whales who enjoy him))
I also thought about overlapping elemental infusions. Imagine Ayaka and Ayato freezing enemies with only their NAs with the help of Candace and Chongyun respectively (it wouldn't be meta-defining, but would give those characters some use)
I'd love to see another one of these. Personally, I'd love to see a fix for Dehya and Candace that brought a physical dps build back into play. This would also re-enable characters like Eula who have fallen off a bit without needing to overhaul them. I'm curious to see what your thoughts would be though.
The thing for physical characters is that the biggest problems come from outside the character kits: 1) Shields. You can't break them easily, and so the ever common mobs in the Abyss like Abyss Mages, Lectors, and Heralds hose physical. The lack of phys related characters further hurts. 2) Superconduct. Deals crap damage, plus forces most of physical into cryo and electro, which limits team building options, and consequently also makes #1 a bigger issue. 3) Grouping. If you can hit 2 mobs instead of 1, you double your damage. Problem is, grouping means anemo, but phys doesn't benefit from VV, nor does it care about the EM and elemental damage buffs that go with those groupers. Basically, physical needs a revamp to address #1 and #2, and those shouldn't come due to new characters you'll then be forced to play to address these systemic issues, while #3 is just needed for the overall health of the game (not just for phys, but also so that anemo doesn't mean "Kazuha or Sucrose").
@@Axterix13 would something like this work? While within Dehya's field, x% of physical damage is converted to pyro and/or contributes y% more to shield breaking. Something that lets physical damage interact with shields more than they do now by adding a field condition doesn't seem out of the question, but I'm pretty new to the game so I'm not sure. I'm only Adventurer Rank 40.
CBT Ningguang uses to have a ER passive and her charge atk was just a Yanfei charge atk. Ningguang is definitely one character I want to be buff. I'm still gonna make this argument that Klee's burst should be a off field like Yelan and Xingqiu. Dehya just needs better numbers honestly plus her C1, C2, and C4 should just be part of her main kit.
I agree with nearly everything, and the main exception is 4* vs 5* "demands". Good 4* are not and shouldn't be a "lesser 5*". Bennett, Xingqiu, Xiangling, Sucrose, Fischl are as good as 5*, they are among the strongest (by this I mean parts of the strongest teams) characters in the game. I think the only acceptable difference with 4* is their being somewhat constellation dependent. Other than that, any character is great if they're a part of an op team. Childe has a very limited team options, but free 4* Xiangling makes an extremely strong team with him, and this makes both of them great.
As a combo to MC, I think they should start out as they are, giving a taster of what the element is and can do, but after finishing the story section for the region they should be able to undergo a 'test' or quest or something that amplifies their elemental power. That way you can still keep their original intention but also making it so they don't age like cheese
If you want diluc to work the best bet is to remove his ICD on the elemental skill and boost his multipliers a bit, for the MC it's a little bit harder he needs a total rework on everything and now that the hydro MC is out and arguably the worst of the bunch it confirms my thoughts
When it comes to a character like Xinyan I feel like two things should have happened: 1) Her Shield really needed to scale off her HP, not her defensive stat. And on a 15 second cooldown instead of 18. 2) Her burst opens up with an explosive damage but then creates a pyro field similar to Lisa, which periodically does ticks of pyro damage. So you get a basic Pyro shielder who could also be reasonably used for Melt and Burgeon teams.
Her shield scaling off hp wouldn't really change anything. Her shield is as strong as it is because of numbers the devs set, and if they wanted it to be stronger, they could make it stronger. The only real difference it would make is that you could slap the Bell on her, but at the cost of the effectiveness of the Redhorn. What she needs is more use of her def stat to scale her offense built into her kit. That goes a long way to fixing her issues. Just saying as someone that got a Redhorn for her precisely to give her some of that much needed scaling and the def% sands that goes with having it. I wouldn't mind a 15s cooldown on her E, but if I were to change one thing for her E, it'd probably be to make her DoT even with a single enemy in range, rather than requiring 2 (with cons). Annoying when you can't get that DoT to help break shields and/or set up reactions.
Xinyan seems like a failed experiment with Physical and Pyro imo. They wanted to diverse the Physical dmg dealer outside of Cryo and Electro but it didn't work out as planned😂 Her shield then got overshadowed by Thoma with the ability to apply pyro even when the shield breaks. I think she needs a make over and redo all her kits, she's such a cool character though.
Another thing that may help some characters is a buff that applies to all characters: my personal idea would be to give ALL characters an unlockable 6th atrifact slot- not one that requires a new type of piece but rather a universal one where you can place any piece. This creates the option of more diversity in build as players would be able to choose weather to run the 2-piece bonus from 3 different sets or the 4-pice bonys of one set with the 2-piece of another (Also before anyone points it out, I'm fully aware this is kinda what Honkai: Star Rail has with it's relics but I've been thinking about this idea since before we even got Sumeru)
Buffs only really matter if your desired goal is to 36* the abyss with your less-than-optimal faves. The core game's focus on questing and exploration is balanced such that any 4 characters that synergize well and have minimal investment (i.e. desirable mainstats on their artifacts, maybe a good set bonus) can clear everything with zero issues.
I unironically play qiqi often in coop. Keeps people up most of the time in pugs, where a lot of people die to worldbosses in the first 30 seconds of the fight. I know no one mentions this ever, but doing world bosses in coop she keeps everyone safe unless its a one shot which makes coop clears waaaay more quick than me just soloing the boss why everyone else naps on the floor.
You are right but that is something we wanted for years. An off field pyro applicator. I think the Pyro archon will have a mechanic close to it. This might be the reason they never released any off field pyro applicator. Most of the other elements have some off filed application except pyro.
Qiqi really deserves a buff. The poor thing has one of the Craziest effects in The game on her C6 (team revive), that can turn the tides of a otherwise lost fight!
11:30 surprisingly this already happens in the game but not in that exact way. If you have 2 infusions on the same character a special interaction will occur where the Weapon Itself will suffer an elemental reaction. If you infuse your weapon with chongyun and candace it'll freeze, if your keching uses her skill while inside Bennet's C6 the weapon will trigger overload and make a small explosion, and so on. If we had a dendro infusion available we could have a way to generate bloom seeds basically for free, that would make Candace's potential skyrocket and make her a good and uniwue unit.
13:46 good point, crowns. In HSR we also get a lot more of crowns with a lot less effort while in genshin we almost hunt them like our lives depend on them
This is such a coincidence - literally a few days ago I was wondering if Candace has any sheilding capabilities because she would be such a good fit for Yoimiya if she did. Imagine if she was Thoma but Hydro. I even tried to find anything in leaks of fontaine related to hydro sheild characters but there's no news of that (as far as I know). The reason why I was looking for this is because if you are using Yelan with her, Thoma may accidently steal some vapes if she's positioned too near or too far, although it happens pretty infrequently. It would also be a good synergy with Yelan. And also the fact that Hp% usually scales sheilds and Hp% is also Hydro character's thing so it would fit. It's surprising we don't have a hydro sheilder yet.
Considering how the importances of many aspects of the game have shifted, I’ve seen so many traits of characters: skills, ascension passives, and constellations, either shot up in value, or fall off. The latter mostly refers to the older characters in the game. I can’t remember all the passive talents but Venti’s 1st ascension passive basically creates a long-lasting wind current, which I thought should have been in the base gameplay. It’s no obvious, Mihoyo wouldn’t do balancing (minus Zhongli’s buff and Yae Miko’s totem targeting, which got reversed), and it’s most likely to possibly never happen in the future. Anyways, great video. I agreed with how you would improve them, although I would prefer if Candace was an HP buffer and applicator or a Charged Attack specialist (similar to Yun Jin being exclusively Normal Attack). Pls be civil in the comments to all of you who see this.
Yeah a lot of one-liner passives should just be in base kit. I know keqing gets infusion when recasting her skill which honestly feels more intuitive if it was in her base kit considering Diluc’s infusion isn’t passive oriented.
Yea, it's very apparent that in the beginning, they are still figuring out in which direction character kits and gameplay would go. An example is Venti's C1 adding extra arrows is pretty useless, Diluc's CA ascension, Xiao's increased Def cons, and Albedo's plunge attack increase cons, etc.
I think for Venti it makes sense . Most passives change something about the skill or add a gimmick in the character. Ventis constant wind on his ascesion passive makes actual sense because it changes alot traversal and combat .
@@SilverDroid14 Diluc makes sense at least since it's clear their intention was Skill > Burst > Charge Attack. Which is why his A1 buffs his charge attack duration to perfectly line up with the imbue duration from his Burst, he's supposed to be using his charge attack during the imbue duration instead of normals. His Cons push him more towards normal attack combos by improving the speed/fluidity of his combo, though even then charge still has some situational valuable as it's aoe is bigger, faster, and consistent, but gets outclassed in single-target once you can weave his skill into normals without breaking the combo at C6 (and also makes activating C4 easier, since it's just Burst > Skill > N2 > Skill > N2 > Skill > repeat). it mostly just depends on who you've got to apply elements. Kaeya and Barbara both support charge-attack Diluc, while Xingqiu supports C6 Diluc (and can support C0 Diluc since his Rain-guard has similar hydro application to Barbara's skill but not as efficiently since he encourages using normals to get the most out of his burst which is janky on Diluc without C6).
I also think another way that could buff candace to be slightly more effective is extending the duration of her burst's application and providing a different playstyle to characters like Yelan Or Xingqiu, but one that can still be effective at reactions. The way she could do this is that Normal & Charged attacks recieve a greater bonus when you cut another overrideable/cancellable elemental infusion short so you can use Candace's,this could also provide something like shortening the skill cd of the character that recieves the buff so she synergizes more with on field elemental attackers.
13:11 Nah that sentence is not real. He really said electro MC was an improvement? Anemo traveller has his usecases as a crowd control early game and if you want to have fun you throw all your pokemons like baron bunny or gouba in the tornado and watch. Geo traveller has insane synergy with Geo archon when fighting and starfell sword and his burst are one of the best geo constructs for the overworld. electro traveller on the other hand is the charger you need to charge to use, his skill is one of the worst designs I ever saw and his numbers were so bad that my anemo build with him that had defense artifacts had higher numbers. But yes I want traveller buffs for all three of them...
The more time that passes for genshin the more I realize how limiting the game really is for it's characters, and it's a lot of factors but the one in talking about now is how they always try to make characters unique and I say this because it leads to the problem where if a character almost works they don't remake that move set but instead create a new one all together I do think it's why pyro has had so little attention, they created near perfect characters that fulfill what could be done to an extreme that any character released to make new roles or be put in the same role will just be the same
Ok the video is great and you made really goog points but CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW SOOTHING YOUR VOICE IS ? I could listen to it all day fr Waiting for a part 2 btw 😄
I would love it if when (or if) we get level 100 characters, it’ll unlock something like 3 new talents that players get to choose from that enhances a character in different ways. Take Thoma for example, he has 3 different play styles; burgeon, all purpose shielder, or a support for a pyro DPS unit. In this hypothetical scenario one of the passives would be like giving his shields partial EM scaling, as well as giving Thoma bonus dmg on pyro based reactions. Another would be to give Thoma a few stacks of his burst automatically when casting it and then letting it pulsate by itself (as in no longer requiring an AA to refresh). And finally one passive could be giving the on field character a stackable increase pyro dmg bonus and maybe a bonus to pyro related reactions. Something along these lines would be interesting to have an all characters. Not all of them have to be game changing but we are talking about level 100 characters here
If Traveler could have multiple elements they would be incredible. They could have infusion on their normal and charged attacks, choose which skill burst to align with, they could be game changing! An anemo infused sword with dendro burst field and electro skill to swirl and proc aggravate would be so much fun to play. Even with lower numbers the utility would be like no other character in the game and it would be more like their story character.
Kaveh apart from strangely not beeing a support character needs a serious buff to his constellations and needs serious buffs to his bloom, burgeon and hyperbloom reactions as that's supposed to be his niche... also reduce his energy cost to 60 the 80 at the moment are just ridiculous
I feel like all Candance and Chongyun need is a character that works with them. If a new character had a ability that allowed them to use 2 or more elemental infusions at once (and if its useful on that character) they would then have a team where you might actually want them.
oh lord the nightmare of 6 star to 7 star unit, and then all the shenanigans of omni and omni+ units, plus the ever changing and ever-getting-more-complicated mechanics of brave frontier
@@gonegurlsthose Omni tier light and dark raids were pretty brutal if you missed enough cross over units, kinda miss the game but it's last year's were painful to watch
Oof right?! The moment those Omni units arrived it was over. I wish they should've give Omni evolution to deserving units base on the lore and have the rest of the new characters max at 6/7 star.
A qiqi main here. I use her both as healer and melee main DPS, with nearly 150 % physical DMG bonus, decent crits and the right supports (especially Yun-Jin, Shogun and Zhongli) I can pull of 10k+ DMG easily to most enemies and it feels so satisfying
These characters need fixing too imho: 1. Klee - Increase her consecutive NA animations up to 5 and possibly have a homing mechanic similar to most catalyst users like Yanfei. Make her burst useable off-field similar to Xiangling's Pyronado. 2. Noelle - her burst doesn't generate particles which kinda sucks though running her on a Mono Geo team with one party member running Fav would fix this. 3. Amber - give her a level 2 charged attack similar to Ganyu and Tighnari. 4. Sayu - her tap skill would've been cool if she made an Anemo shield of sorts. 5. Xinyan - her split-scaling is a big hurdle tbh. Would've been better if they ultimately have her scaled off purely based on DEF. 6. Dori - her skill is useless. Have her make a shield instead.
It’s too bad that Hoyoverse said they’re not going to add any more reactions. It would be nice to have a more debuff-oriented reaction similar to Zhongli’s petrify effect occur if an enemy had taken enough hits from geo-based attacks, reducing their attack and defense and making them susceptible to heavy hits similar to the frozen reaction for a while but not stopping their movement. Not to mention one of my favorite suggestions is for anemo and geo being able to create a small sandstorm in the area that would deal passive damage and draw in smaller enemies, maybe affecting its own status condition that reduced enemy attack through a blinded condition (to simulate loss of accuracy without making attacks go haywire). These buffs would innately help a lot of the less powerful characters in the game, being mostly composed of anemo and geo units purely based on their elements.
What also needs a buff is skins and the addition of transformations for Archons. $15-$30 skins for characters with every banner and a second burst for the Archons that change their appearance and do extra damage would be a good way to shake up the game. It's so bizarre that they leave so much money on the floor by not adding skins
that's one thing that's always confused me, they put in the effort of making sponsored outfits and stuff, and then just never make in game skins of em; like, it's not THAT hard to add a skin, and it's not like there's no incentive to do it since they could and would monetize them I still think that every character should get an alt skin at friendship 10; cuz after you get all the friendship achievements, and get the banner for your main, there's practically no incentive to get characters to 10 anymore; at least with a skin, you get more flex points and there's a real incentive to grind friendship lvl for every character
@@K-dis_Boher Exactly, more stuff to unlock will create incentives to play more which could translate to spending more In addition, some unlockable 5 star weapons from bosses would also be nice
One thing that AFK Arena did with a healer was give her an ability that turns a portion of overhealing into a shield for the character, which I think is something that if incorporated into Qiqi's kit could make her a high tier Shielder
tbh even if her shield was only as strong as Baizhus one hit wonder shields, it would be an improvement. It doesnt take away from her main function as a healer too much + provides some interruotion resistance for allies, or even her, which would be great since she has to always be up close and personal to keep healing.
I never really thought of that as a Qiqi main but I think it's a pretty good idea! With clam set that converts the healing into dmg, having a res of interruption is really good, tho I think it might just make her a cryo Baizhu😅 I don't think hoyo will do it, but they can make a new weapon with atk stat and a similar passive (when the character provides healing, X% of the healing provided will be converted into a shield) or (when the character provides healing for an ally, the hp restored that extends the max hp will be converted into a shield that lasts for Xs). Now I really want it...
I made a video specifically calling out the characters (both 4 and 5 stars) in the game using skills which are not in their kits in the story. At first it could be dismissed as a desperation move, but some use these skills while calm and for extended periods of time (Yanfei in the Chasm using a skill similar to Bennet's elemental burst). So, it is possible for additional changes in the future, like raising the level cap and/or adding in new skills or adding onto already existing skills for battle. I don't think such a change will happen in until at least 5.0, and I'm hoping for a narrative reason for such a change.
I never knew/thought about the Traveler introducing things about elements, that's pretty interesting. But also hydro Trav came out and it seemed less about the element and more about the region it comes from since it was the first of many, many characters with HP gimmicks. I'm not kidding, IDK Navia's kit but every Fontaine character to come out besides two cryo 4 stars has HP gimmicks
I have been determined to make Qiqi great since I got her in 1.2 and she has always been incredibly useful to me She made dragonspine comfortable and inazuma balethunder negligible (exploration prowess always seems underlooked when rating characters, it’s a giant part of the game too) In a team with Yun Jin and other supports, the most I have seen my Qiqi hit is 45k+ fairly consistent normal attacks. The premise is to make her like a pseudo physical Keqing but she can heal intensely too, in fact before dendro my Qiqi was pretty much on par with most average physical dmg characters with just a simple phys set and R2 Jade Cutter I never look at genshin in terms of meta much since you only really do abyss twice a month for a few gems but I get why people dislike her (she will however remain my favourite and I will always enjoy the rewarding challenge/premise of maining her) The one lesson I have learned is almost all characters can be amazing if you are willing to put the time in and believe in them and as much I would love to elaborate more I don’t want to type all day
A cool idea for Candace could be having her shield have a very low cooldown if tapped and allowing you to do faster parries than Beidou with a lot less dmg. That way you can do a little damage extra a lot of times and it can shake up gameplay by constantly countering enemies
For Amber, since I've gotten better at utilizing her, all I can say is buff c2 to give her faster charged shot times, that way baron bunny is better at quick swap teams. (Hint: It can be detonated if the charge shot creates a burgeon or overload reaction so you can hit both with one shot.)
they could add peircing to Ningguang where if the jade hits it targets the closest enemy near and the next enemy near. but if not it just circles back around to the same enemy two or three times
I asked my editor to show three 4 star catalyst supports and he mistakenly thought Faruzan and Dori were catalyst users just by their appearance (he says he hasn't played the game in a while). It was my fault for not catching those when I was reviewing the draft. It happened really quickly I was probably looking away from the screen during that time.
as someone who enjoys playing all the traveler elements to some degree i got a idea how they could buff them general: allowing use of different trav elements in a single team, straight up theres some synergy we cant do because you cant have more then 1 element despite in story theyve already shown they can use multiple anemo: straight up a way to hold the tornado in place without needing to run it into a object, the only real consistent way we have atm is throwing it into ningguangs shield or zhonglis pillar, those are vary small collision boxes to try and work. geo travs constructs are wide enough this wouldnt be a issue well also provoding a crit buff with there burst to. regardless just some way would allow it to be a smaller venti tornado for what the siutation calls for geo: tbh i find this one not terrible, its more so to do with geo more then anything. it hits hard, even got a crit buff on its burst. the only thing i see a actual issue is C2 with its construct explosion only triggers and killing it or expiring, not when you go over the limit and the first existing just goes away. this should deifnintly explode on the oldest getting shoved out from construct limit. electro: the one upside to this one is that the skill can hyper fuel a single char so hard that you can get away with someone like noelle at 0 ER and have 100% uptime on her burst, but at the cost of not generating energy for the team. as for the burst, techniclly allows a extra hit of electro similar to beidou on a single target situation well also gaining flat energy. the damage isnt bad if you can attack fast enough to trigger it at least 80% of the time...but the amount of chars that line up right to trigger it as much as it can isnt vary much to the point i dont actually know, all for a burst that costs 80 energy. the burst shouldnt cost 80 energy especially for a char that doesnt generate energy for team/them self without using the skill on them self. they should also make it more usable to use hits with the burst instead of having to find someone who lines up with attack speed, like having the skill auto load a charge and can store upto 3 and the next attack will use all charges on the enemy allowing to use all the hits without some weird user restrictions. even if they keep the optimal amount of hits at 24, thats still 24 hits of 60% with 24 flat energy on the attacker. dendro: this one i actually say is in a good spot, even know i got every other dendro char built minus kirara, i do still find some use out of this one in aoe situations.
Okay one as a Xinyan main that last part hurt, 2: I can only really list two: Xinyan and Dehya. Dehya wouldn’t even need anything drastic just have her skill’s gimmick increase the strength of her burst - always personally felt to me that that was what was originally intended. As for Xinyan, literally just got to make it so her skill and the rest of her kit don’t fight against each other for stats.
klee: burst stays active off-field. qiqi: curse dmg buff on enemies with talismans and skill makes particles (just all skills should make particles straight up). dehya: burst activates normal atk activation talents, 100% skill uptime, continuous high stagger resist. anemo trav: burst follows/homes in on enemies and doesnt fly off to the ends of the universe if say all enemies are sucked up. thoma: burst cost 40 (in fact a lot of inazuma patch bursts dont warrant the 70, 80, or even 60 cost). dori: burst connects to you and multiple enemies (4-5) with standard icd.
I think the constellations you brought up for Diluc, Qiqi and Candace should kinda show how they have these thematic elements which are effectively hidden behind a paywall. -Diluc's theme is his relentless assault of Pyro strikes, so he should weave his attacks and skill casts together (without cons) and reduce skill cooldown for hitting combos -Qiqi's theme is applying calming sealing talismans to enemies so her marks should reduce enemy defence and apply Cryo when struck -Candace's theme is the defender of the oasis, so her abilities should create a shield which is refreshed when switching characters, and her burst should execute coordinated attacks instead of Hydro infusion
I also feel like Xinyan's skill should be a pulsing ring of Pyro instead of a shield, Dehya should have much higher HP ratios on her damage reduction and burst hits to signify her as both a bodyguard and a powerful fighter and Yoimiya should be able to do AoE damage with her firework arrows
I feel like Candace is lowkey undervalued. She is basically the yelan for NA based characters, her NA buff can go up to 35-40% with her A4 at 30k-40k hp. At c6 she csn function as a off field hydro applier similar to yelan and xingqiu but more aoe focused dealing 15% of her max hp. There is plenty of ways to build her too if you want the highest NA damage multiplier u can just go pure hp to get 40k+ ho for that juicy 40%+ na damage (should be easy with hoe msny ho buffing sets snd she has access to hp% weapons). Instead you could go for bug pp damage snd build her like yelan for crit stats and some hp, you can then run 1 side with double hydro snd the other side with candace to fill in the slot of a hydro applier. You can even use her in nilou bloom/bloom teams in general. She really seems to be underrated right now and it's most likely do to her accessibility being her c6 and her being relatively new. People also seem to focus only on her NA buffing as the center point to her but dont realize she can function as a yelan/xingqiu replacement or even function (needs testing dont quote me) better in ayato, yoimiya, scaramouche, or even diluc teams
I’d buff yoimiya, not that she’s bad but she needs adjustments that are more utility oriented 1. Let’s her auto’s have aoe when she uses her skill 2. Give her resistance to interruption while her skill is active 3. Have her auto attack not reset when she’s in her skill state when she takes dmg or sprints 4. Let her trigger her ult explosion and increase its aoe 5. Have her c3 be an auto atk lvl up and her c5 a skill lvl instead of her ult increase
1. I think it would make her too op, she's already the strongest single target character in game 2.though it would be nice, it would end up giving her nothing much sine it's only resistance Over all i understand you but she might end up too op and they need to nerf her scaling
Those sound nice but are definitely too overpowered bc yoimiya's whole gimmick is single target dsmage, honestly the main change yoimiya needs is regarding her burst / perhaps giving players a reason to use her charge shot mechanic? Like while her burst is on an enemy, it buffs all reaction damage taken instead of buffing atk, or that yoimiya can activate the pyro application of her burst even onfield. It's mainly her burst that is lacking, I'm not sure how to make the charge shot more useful though
@@04cassius-jakeyou do know she's not the strongest single target dps right? Hu tao and ayaka beats her at single target and situational alhaitham as well
@@joeltoomer3332It's debatable. If we assume its on their respective Best team (not just random "comfy" Team) and C0, Yoimiya is BY FAR better than the mentioned, not even Hu Tao can won over Yoimiya for the obvious reason of Stamina and no access to Dash Cancel which are the two reason that made Her broken in ST. If we take Cons into account then yes rest of them can potentially overtake Yoimiya, but I still highly doubt about Ayaka UNLESS Shenhe is C2R1, because She is the only reason how Ayaka can be Strong in ST. For just in case. Yoimiya and Hu Tao BiS team are practically the same (Bennett, Kazuha, Yelan) Though some might argue Hu Tao 2 Hydro (Sucrose, XQ, Yelan) is better, there is no doubt that the mentioned team are one of their strongest team.
While I do agree that Qiqi has low utility in the abyss, I have to say that not every character has to be good for the abyss to be a good character, the abyss isn't the only content in the game. . Qiqi shines the most in co-op domains, she's arguably the best character to have in your co-op team, especially for the large domains. As the op mentioned, Qiqi has the highest healing in the game even at C0, and she's one of the only 3 characters who have 100% healing uptime(Qiqi, Kokomi, and C2 Shinobu), so she's the overall best character at healing. What makes her even better for co-op is that she can heal the whole team for 100% of the time without having to be close to them like Kokomi or Shinobu. Aside from C2 Zhongli, Qiqi can provide the highest survivability possible for co-op domains, and she can get the max dmg from clam set for 100% of the time, around 30k AoE dmg every 3s is pretty nice from a healer. Bennett and the other healers are good of course, but for the large domains, especially Azhdaha, having a small AoE of healing can be a huge problem. . Qiqi has never been a bad character, let alone the "worst 5*", her overheal means you can sacrifice tons of it to use any support weapon or set and she will still be healing A LOT, she has always been decent and she became even better since clam set came out, but sadly people seem to hate on her because of the overused memes without even trying her, she's not the best nor the worst, she's decent. . If she has anything that can be called a "problem that needs to be fixed" it will be that her skill doesn't generate energy like any other character, and her C2 that increases her own dmg, her CD is fine with the right rotation, tho I like the "debuffer healer" idea, if hoyo will ever buff a character I hope they actually do it, more buffs won't hurt. ^^
As a qiqi main I would love any kind of qiqi buff, and as someone who likes her onfeild dps, having her give Debufs would be interesting for shure! (Also the energy/cool downs would be appreciated XD)
Good video. And good points. I’m really hoping they consider some adjustments like these eventually. Qiqi in particular. She was one of my favorites to use early on. As well as my best unit damage wise cuz I leveled her up before Diluc and Venti. But I really wish she had something else going in her kit. I mostly use her as a physical dps with Raiden while fighting the Black serpents in Chasm.
I want diluc with his delusion mode as separate playable character where he sacrifice his health like hutao for little dmg boost and huge speed boost .His skill and burst should be using chains that add range to dilucs claymore based gameplay making him single enemy damaging kit which improves his gameplay. his passive boosts his atk if gets by enemy. I want his elemental skill to be nuke like yelan skill and ultimate to fastly spam pyro infusion attacks for 6-9 seconds that will make him competitive with current characters
Delusions don't hurt people who can wield visions. They only harm people who aren't worthy of a vision in the first place. And if Tartaglia is anything to go back, Delusion Diluc would play very similar to current Diluc. Except his flame attacks would be black and couldn't cause any reactions but also wouldn't be affected by any physical or elemental resistances.
@@ZanathKariashi Nah. Seperate character could be: After casting searing onslaught, all NA and skills casted aftwards gain a 10 percent dmg boost but each attack reduces diluc's hp compoundely all the way to zero. Each attack also grants himself a 1 percent chance to die right away as well. That would be a cool character.
I agree on everything, and I think that Cyno would be incredibly better if he didn't lose his elemental burst state when swapping. This could also apply to Xiao or Itto but I don't think it's a big issue for them, but it is for Cyno
I think you should watch Flip's genshin court on you, not to clown on you or anything but I think what he mentions in his videos have good points and Its always nice to learn and improve right?
At least we can play Electro MC as the hyperbloom triggerer. Quite difficult to balance substats between EM, ER anc CR but very fun to play, despite the small burst duration he have
The funny thing is weapon infusions DO interact. They react on top of the weapon, so based on the timing of application from the source they react and leave an aura left on the weapon which is what you attack with. My personal fun idea would be that an offield dendro infusion that would interact with c6 bennett pyro infusion could lead to burning (the only issue is you'd burn yourself to death but anyone in melee range would be burned as well and thats like 1u pyro every 2 seconds). The issue with hutao, raiden, xiao etc. is that they have a conversion rather than an infusion which doesnt react at all and just ignores it. Its really unfortunate regarding candace though as theres literally nothing in her kit that would make her a better choice than xq other than her dmg bonus (that ik of at least).
Geo Traveler was never really bad. The issue people had with it was that enemies got stuck on the “barrels” even though a solution to that already existed ( so I cal skill issue ) and it had its early and later uses ( such as battery for Noelle and an essential member of the Microwave Team, which exploits to the max Zhongli’s Pillar Pulses ). It also had pretty decent numbers and has utility ( Crit Rate buff ) and its kit, and people never understood this, was also built with exploration in mind given that you need its barrels to take many Geoculi or other Oculi that would be otherwise out of reach. Hence why the duration of the barrels. The only things I would add to buff it a bit is to give the possibility to detonate all barrels with Press Skill ( while leaving the possibility to relocate a barrel with Hold Skill ) when all 3 are on the field through their Constellation 2 ( so essentially modify C2 to also include that ). - Anemo Traveler’s situation is a combination of different things ranging from Venti ( and sucrose ) existing, skill issue, legitimate problems with the character, and not exactly knowing it’s role so everybody expect it to be sucrose. Anemo Traveler’s Tornado does need a more powerful absorption power so that it can take big slimes and other heavier foes of the “light class” ( that is heavy treasure hoarders for example ) without issues. It needs to have a more comprehensive way to allow people to know where it’s gonna go or at the very least explain how its targeting works ( the Tornado will go to the last direction traveler went if no foe is near them. If foes are near, it will target the nearest one unless it was close enough to be sucked in; in that case, the first rule applies. But this is not explained ). And at least the first 2 constellations shouldn’t be constellations but already be integrated in the baseline character. And Constellation 4 should be Constellation 1. That said, the issue with the Tornado’s direction could have been solved by the players if Traveler was given any attention at all, as nearly all guides of the few around never explained this and they felt like they never really cared to investigate further ( some did, but way too late ). Not to mention that it was often compared to Sucrose even though Anemo Traveler has not the same role. By analyzing the entire skill set, it’s obvious that Anemo Traveler was meant to be on field, the Tornado was meant to quickly get rid of smaller foes, so that Traveler could concentrate against larger ones with their Skill and Normal ATKs. So, Anemo Traveler is a weird combination of DPS and CC that works in early game. The problem here is the weird constellations, except for C6, that don’t do much to improve it’s intended role and the Elemental Skill’s multipliers being the lowest among Anemo units ( although compensated by the Tornado’s cumulative multipliers which are second only to Venti’s ). Many quoted the low base ATK, but that is already taken care of by the ascension passive being ATK which gets added to the base ATK ( and the sumeru archon quest slightly buffed it ). So, Anemo Traveler would need: higher multipliers for Normal ATKs and for the Elemental Skill, better cons, and adding either an explanation to the Burst’s description or put directly a directional arrow that shows where it’s gonna go. - Electro Traveler is in fact the best battery in the game for single characters. The issue with this traveler is the insane Energy Cost and low multipliers per hit ( although it has an insanely high cumulative multiplier ) By analyzing this kit, the devs, at least initially, intended to make Traveler a hybrid Battery/Electro Shredder/Electro Applicator/Off-Field DPS. The High Energy Cost probably was because they had Raiden in mind. But for some reason they changed their minds down the road and did not implement the proper modifications to make Electro Traveler really shine. They could simply reduce the energy cost down to 40 and that alone will make it far better and even compete with other options. But if we want it to be what it was supposed to be, then they need to reduce the Skill’s CD down to 8s, increase the skill and burst’s multipliers by double the amount, increase the Burst Uptime by 3s ( so that it’s 15s duration, not 12s ), and either reduce the burst’s cost down to 40-60 or leave it to 80 but modify the burst so that it works with Raiden’s burst. - I used to really not see a need for that, but as more elements added up, now I see the need for Traveler to be able to change elements without the need for a statue after the first time you obtain the element from the statue. And I agree that since the style of swordsmanship doesn’t change between elements, the Normal ATKs Talent levels should be carried across them. But the problem is that Hoyoverse doesn’t really care. They’re not gonna do it.
How I would fix Diluc: Get rid of charges attack passive for every time he triggers a Pyro reaction his elemental mastery increases by like 50 and there is three stacks for his three skills. Qiqi: Debuff Defense like you said but also attack and also LET HER GENERATE PARTICLES. Ningguang: Her burst, skill and star jades scale off defense.
Good way to buff everyone without actually changing anything about the characters is to add a 3rd skill unlocked at level 100 in the future and everyone gets a skill based on how good/bad they are. Like those that are already busted would get traversal/mobility/QOL skill and those that are weak would get nuke/buff skills that would bring them to the same level as good characters. Example Hutao gets a skill where ghosts start flying in her direction and get absorbed into her body which would give interruption resistance to her whole team(like Dehya) and give +30% movement speed(since it's just a skill you can spam it when out of battle whenever it's off cooldown to freely have movements speed to help with world exploration). Qiqi gets a skill that buffs her ER by +100% and your next burst use would alter your burst to where instead of ghosts just being released into the sky they would stay behind your active character and rush into the enemy you're attacking dealing and applying cryo(this effectively makes her a cryo Yelan/Qingqiu and sends her into SS++ tier and also solves her energy issues) Do this for every character and everything becomes good.
As someone who has been a traveller main for years now, I would love to see a buff to the character. Doesnt need to be an op 5 star but cant forget that they are a 5 star unit, yet weaker then a lot of the 4 stars depending on the element. even if some of the changes are just better base stats or high numbers in their kit to make them feel like they are worth building. E.G. Electro travellers burst is WAAAY too expensive, making him feel useless when u could just use fishl, raiden or kuki which all work better in that position. Also another frustrating thing is that there isnt really many if any builds that make traveller good as a dps. Personally I would love to be able to use him as a dps at some point so maybe later elements will make use of this.
1) Xinyan - remove her split scaling and change her shield to either be like Thoma or just damage reduction. 2) Beidou - change her c4 to be able to allow a weaker bounce in single target so her ST damage isn't as pitiful. buff the shred and range of her c6. 3) Mika - change him to catalyst and remove the on field restriction. Make his c1 add 3 extra seconds for his buffs. 4) Dori - remove HP scaling and replace with EM, change her c6 into some sort of buff. 5) Kaveh - Give him something similar to Klee c4, where his burst can apply off field dendro. This would enable much needed flexible and faster rotations but the trade off being less dendro application, healing and buffs. 6) Thoma - shield scales off EM, replace ATK ascension with ER.
Since many have pointed out (I take partial responsibility for not catching these when reviewing the draft):
- At 6:20 my editor accidentally showed Kokomi's burst description when he was supposed to show Qiqi's.

For Venti they don’t need to change his kit or buff him…. They just need to stop making enemies or even objects (Klee and Kirara’s bombs) immune to his burst… even bosses should be somewhat controllable by his burst… he’s an archon and cc is getting less important so it’s not that much to ask for.
literally this
a lot of people forget that Venti is a game changer, hoyo actively works to make sure that he can never control the game again by making enemies non cc’able
Venti doesn’t need a buff he just needs hoyo to stop working against him, with all these new enemies and other great supports he wouldn’t break the game anymore he would just be another top tier amazing option like Kazuha
Just making enemies group together than making them all hover inside the black hole isn’t a lot to ask

Lyney and Freminet's c3s give NA levels, so we'll soon be able to hit level 14 on a talent (Childe passive). With a level 100 ascension, that'd be level 16. So yeah, we'd have a problem here
@@frequent_blue2071 indeed. it is a game!
They should make her shard's like lisas attacks i know it won't make sense in physics since how can a rock go trough other rocks ahahha but i still prefer it
as a ningguang main, i find that her fluid playstyle is absolutely delightful, and i dont mind her being geo, but one ick i have is that she can't use the most out of the geo supports
she can't make full use of gorou's buffs, nor does she stay on field long enough to use nas to utilise yunjin's na buff
Literally this
I play Ning as a dps, so she usually stays on the field long enough to use NAs and Yunjin buff, but i don't use Ning with Yunjin, because i prefer Ning to be on double geo-pyro team, and yeah, it's better to use Gorou with Itto or Noelle, heck even Albedo, than with the Ning.
as a Ning main as well, it would be cool if she could use Shatter as a main reaction for her, it feels... So right, her attacks looks heavy and definitely make you bleed
That would also benefit cyro units that were left behind on "Sumeru + Dendro era"
(Hydro would gain ONE MORE REACTION to be OP but that's already it's nature lmao, Hydro impact in every single reaction xD)
She's definitely fun to play, just not strong enough

I wish her C1 also included Charged attacks....since her C6 pops out 7 of them.
"While most catalyst users opt for supportive playstyles"
*shows 3 characters where only one is a catalyst*
That's my bad. I told my editor to show three 4 star catalyst supports and he mistakenly thought Faruzan and Dori were catalyst wielders. I must've missed that part when reviewing the draft because it happened so quickly.

I think Klee would work well as a sub-dps if only her burst worked off-field
Also with how squishy and probe to staggering she is, it’s hard to play her as a main DPS without having to switch her out all the time to keep her from dying… and then you lost the burst
@@WeiYinChanHonestly, Dying can easily be solved either by Shield, Interrupt resist, or Heal.
Klee's biggest problem is Her CA Knockback.
The fact She has Melee range, yet Her CA has awful AoE and High Stagger can instantly ruin Her own DPS window, especially in room full of Mobs (which is common theme in Abyss these days)
CC can't even help solve it because Klee will just send the enemies all over the map again.
Her cons already give the opportunity to do nuke dmg while switching during her burst.
Klee is one of the best characters for burgeon, so she has that, at least
the problem is that most of these are old characters that have already become victims of power creep early on in this game and have long been discarded by the dev team
expecting a buff for them would just be as likely as expecting hoyo to be generous in anniversary rewards
personal opinion
honestly I feel some characters don't need a buff but rather a proper rework
from old characters such as Diluc and Venti's constellations
Dehya's clunky-ness and etc
of course with T&Cs from Hoyo allowing changes to finalized products to prevent court cases
otherwise a system similar to the modules in Arknights where players can earn permanent buffs for specific older characters
Nah, just buff their multipliers. It's simple and efficient.
Also, something can be reworked and become even worse afterwards.
Ningguang in CBT, her basics did get enchanced if they went thru the jade screen

I think Candace just needs her burst to last up to 18 seconds so she works with quick bloom Cyno at C6 (specially since she was released on his banner)
Damn right, Candice is the “Wonder Woman” of the game, she should kick butt.
Candace should have a bit hydro damage bonus for her infusion. That's all I need.
Yeah, I completely agree that 12 secs with cons is still not enough for a bloom-related team.
How to buff Ningguang?
Well, turn her into a 5 star. I mean it won't fix all her issues but she's the one unit who deserved to be one after what she's done for the people of Liyue. I mean at least points for Ningguang for being one of the strongest 4 star DPS's.
Her C6 is very busted for a four star max cons
They made keqing someonw who is also in a lower position than ningguang a five star. I dont get it
@@yurix6072 I'm pretty sure that the original consensus was that Ningguang was supposed to be a 5 star.
@@PrismPupsickle it's not that good that it incentivizes 5 star cons. Even c6 she doesn't match many dps unless you giga invest.

It’s wouldn’t be strange if either Keqing or Ningguang was a five star, what would be strange is that none of the Qixing so far are of equal rarity. It’d make more sense if both were five stars or four stars.

"We haven't seen hydro, pyro, or cryo traveler yet, so maybe things will improve."
Uh yeah, about that-
I use Ningguang to handle the Golden Wolflord, and that's about it.
She doesn't have to hit huge numbers, but I think something like tighnari where her charged shots are quicker after casting her skill would be great
Why would they buff her when they try to sell Lyney. Hoyo don't want you to use 4 stars DPS just like most gacha out there
@@nonamepasserbya6658 (copium)
They purposefully design them as weak 4 star version of 5 star kits and it's too obvious. Amber is a prototype of Lyney
"We haven't seen a Hydro traveler yet. Maybe things will improve"
*nervous laughter*
First thing I always think, when it comes to necessary buffs in Genshin, is Klees burst staying active, when swapping characters.
I really wish Traveler was more usable! Canonically he's very strong, but I can't justify playing the game with him. I want to experience the new kit in each region and progress with the character as part of the story, but instead I go into great story moments and immediately pop-up as Yelan as soon as any dialogue ends 😅
It's either jarring and hurts immersion, or just a drag
Something that trailblazer did better, they got a new playstyle with preservation while new elements for traveler are just
Different skill&burst
i use traveler in the overworld for immersion reasons and never felt like they are too weak, or drag fights down.
Ok so I’ve also got ideas for small tweaks to improve certain characters:
Diluc - Boost his attack speed a little, and make the icd of his Pyro infusion a little less punishing.
13:05 ... about hydro traveler..
This video did not age well since we got Hydro Traveler lol..
YESSS
I'd love to see another one of these. Personally, I'd love to see a fix for Dehya and Candace that brought a physical dps build back into play. This would also re-enable characters like Eula who have fallen off a bit without needing to overhaul them. I'm curious to see what your thoughts would be though.
The thing for physical characters is that the biggest problems come from outside the character kits:
1) Shields.
The only thing that deserves buff is our Credit-Card.
If you want diluc to work the best bet is to remove his ICD on the elemental skill and boost his multipliers a bit, for the MC it's a little bit harder he needs a total rework on everything and now that the hydro MC is out and arguably the worst of the bunch it confirms my thoughts
When it comes to a character like Xinyan I feel like two things should have happened:
1) Her Shield really needed to scale off her HP, not her defensive stat.
They wanted to diverse the Physical dmg dealer outside of Cryo and Electro but it didn't work out as planned😂
Her shield then got overshadowed by Thoma with the ability to apply pyro even when the shield breaks.
This creates the option of more diversity in build as players would be able to choose weather to run the 2-piece bonus from 3 different sets or the 4-pice bonys of one set with the 2-piece of another
(Also before anyone points it out, I'm fully aware this is kinda what Honkai: Star Rail has with it's relics but I've been thinking about this idea since before we even got Sumeru)
This was a cool video as usual. I would definitely enjoy a part 2 or even 3. Helpful subject for a lot of folks.

Diluc could get a passive where he gets a "pyro OZ" that follows the character and works off field after the burst is cast since he spawns a fênix

If we had a dendro infusion available we could have a way to generate bloom seeds basically for free, that would make Candace's potential skyrocket and make her a good and uniwue unit.
does this happen with like alhaithem?
Meanwhile, characters that Mihoyo think that need buff: Xiangling every patch and Fischl every few patches.
I am civil. What do you mean I AM
NOT CIVIL? AND I AM CALM TOO! WHAT DO YOU MEAN I’M NOT CIVIL
AND CAAAALLLMMM? WHAAAAAATTT???!?
Yea, it's very apparent that in the beginning, they are still figuring out in which direction character kits and gameplay would go. An example is Venti's C1 adding extra arrows is pretty useless, Diluc's CA ascension, Xiao's increased Def cons, and Albedo's plunge attack increase cons, etc.
I think for Venti it makes sense .
Most passives change something about the skill or add a gimmick in the character.
Ventis constant wind on his ascesion passive makes actual sense because it changes alot traversal and combat .
@@SilverDroid14
Diluc makes sense at least since it's clear their intention was Skill > Burst > Charge Attack.
The more time that passes for genshin the more I realize how limiting the game really is for it's characters, and it's a lot of factors but the one in talking about now is how they always try to make characters unique and I say this because it leads to the problem where if a character almost works they don't remake that move set but instead create a new one all together
I do think it's why pyro has had so little attention, they created near perfect characters that fulfill what could be done to an extreme that any character released to make new roles or be put in the same role will just be the same
Ok the video is great and you made really goog points but CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW SOOTHING YOUR VOICE IS ? I could listen to it all day fr

NAHH I was not ready for the backhand insult at 4:15
I knew dehya will be roasted but damn that was sudden xD
I feel like all Candance and Chongyun need is a character that works with them. If a new character had a ability that allowed them to use 2 or more elemental infusions at once (and if its useful on that character) they would then have a team where you might actually want them.
The brave frontier flashbacks is hitting me 💀, the power creep and no consideration for older units is insane

Seeing Brave Frontier units at the beginning unlocked a memory I forgot I had.
These characters need fixing too imho:
I love these sort of theory videos so yes please make more videos like this!
7:28 funny how 2/3 character there is actually catalyst while he mentions a catalyst support
It's so bizarre that they leave so much money on the floor by not adding skins
that's one thing that's always confused me, they put in the effort of making sponsored outfits and stuff, and then just never make in game skins of em; like, it's not THAT hard to add a skin, and it's not like there's no incentive to do it since they could and would monetize them
I still think that every character should get an alt skin at friendship 10; cuz after you get all the friendship achievements, and get the banner for your main, there's practically no incentive to get characters to 10 anymore; at least with a skin, you get more flex points and there's a real incentive to grind friendship lvl for every character
@@K-dis_Boher Exactly, more stuff to unlock will create incentives to play more which could translate to spending more
In addition, some unlockable 5 star weapons from bosses would also be nice
One thing that AFK Arena did with a healer was give her an ability that turns a portion of overhealing into a shield for the character, which I think is something that if incorporated into Qiqi's kit could make her a high tier Shielder
tbh even if her shield was only as strong as Baizhus one hit wonder shields, it would be an improvement. It doesnt take away from her main function as a healer too much + provides some interruotion resistance for allies, or even her, which would be great since she has to always be up close and personal to keep healing.
I never really thought of that as a Qiqi main but I think it's a pretty good idea!
With clam set that converts the healing into dmg, having a res of interruption is really good, tho I think it might just make her a cryo Baizhu😅
I don't think hoyo will do it, but they can make a new weapon with atk stat and a similar passive (when the character provides healing, X% of the healing provided will be converted into a shield) or (when the character provides healing for an ally, the hp restored that extends the max hp will be converted into a shield that lasts for Xs).
I have been determined to make Qiqi great since I got her in 1.2 and she has always been incredibly useful to me
She made dragonspine comfortable and inazuma balethunder negligible (exploration prowess always seems underlooked when rating characters, it’s a giant part of the game too)
In a team with Yun Jin and other supports, the most I have seen my Qiqi hit is 45k+ fairly consistent normal attacks. The premise is to make her like a pseudo physical Keqing but she can heal intensely too, in fact before dendro my Qiqi was pretty much on par with most average physical dmg characters with just a simple phys set and R2 Jade Cutter
I never look at genshin in terms of meta much since you only really do abyss twice a month for a few gems but I get why people dislike her (she will however remain my favourite and I will always enjoy the rewarding challenge/premise of maining her)
The one lesson I have learned is almost all characters can be amazing if you are willing to put the time in and believe in them and as much I would love to elaborate more I don’t want to type all day
Phenomenal video! More parts please!!!
You were talking about catalysts, then showed Barbara(catalyst, yeah), Faruzan(bow) and Dori(Claymore)💀💀💀
I asked my editor to show three 4 star catalyst supports and he mistakenly thought Faruzan and Dori were catalyst users just by their appearance (he says he hasn't played the game in a while). It was my fault for not catching those when I was reviewing the draft. It happened really quickly I was probably looking away from the screen during that time.
as someone who enjoys playing all the traveler elements to some degree i got a idea how they could buff them
general: allowing use of different trav elements in a single team, straight up theres some synergy we cant do because you cant have more then 1 element despite in story theyve already shown they can use multiple
anemo: straight up a way to hold the tornado in place without needing to run it into a object, the only real consistent way we have atm is throwing it into ningguangs shield or zhonglis pillar, those are vary small collision boxes to try and work. geo travs constructs are wide enough this wouldnt be a issue well also provoding a crit buff with there burst to. regardless just some way would allow it to be a smaller venti tornado for what the siutation calls for
geo: tbh i find this one not terrible, its more so to do with geo more then anything. it hits hard, even got a crit buff on its burst. the only thing i see a actual issue is C2 with its construct explosion only triggers and killing it or expiring, not when you go over the limit and the first existing just goes away. this should deifnintly explode on the oldest getting shoved out from construct limit.
electro: the one upside to this one is that the skill can hyper fuel a single char so hard that you can get away with someone like noelle at 0 ER and have 100% uptime on her burst, but at the cost of not generating energy for the team. as for the burst, techniclly allows a extra hit of electro similar to beidou on a single target situation well also gaining flat energy. the damage isnt bad if you can attack fast enough to trigger it at least 80% of the time...but the amount of chars that line up right to trigger it as much as it can isnt vary much to the point i dont actually know, all for a burst that costs 80 energy. the burst shouldnt cost 80 energy especially for a char that doesnt generate energy for team/them self without using the skill on them self. they should also make it more usable to use hits with the burst instead of having to find someone who lines up with attack speed, like having the skill auto load a charge and can store upto 3 and the next attack will use all charges on the enemy allowing to use all the hits without some weird user restrictions. even if they keep the optimal amount of hits at 24, thats still 24 hits of 60% with 24 flat energy on the attacker.
dendro: this one i actually say is in a good spot, even know i got every other dendro char built minus kirara, i do still find some use out of this one in aoe situations.
-Diluc's theme is his relentless assault of Pyro strikes, so he should weave his attacks and skill casts together (without cons) and reduce skill cooldown for hitting combos
-Qiqi's theme is applying calming sealing talismans to enemies so her marks should reduce enemy defence and apply Cryo when struck
-Candace's theme is the defender of the oasis, so her abilities should create a shield which is refreshed when switching characters, and her burst should execute coordinated attacks instead of Hydro infusion
I’d buff yoimiya, not that she’s bad but she needs adjustments that are more utility oriented
1. Let’s her auto’s have aoe when she uses her skill
2. Give her resistance to interruption while her skill is active
3. Have her auto attack not reset when she’s in her skill state when she takes dmg or sprints
4. Let her trigger her ult explosion and increase its aoe
5. Have her c3 be an auto atk lvl up and her c5 a skill lvl instead of her ult increase
1. I think it would make her too op, she's already the strongest single target character in game
2.though it would be nice, it would end up giving her nothing much sine it's only resistance
Over all i understand you but she might end up too op and they need to nerf her scaling
Play Burgeon Yomiya
Only way to make a shit char like her useful 😊
Yoimiya and Hu Tao BiS team are practically the same (Bennett, Kazuha, Yelan)
Though some might argue Hu Tao 2 Hydro (Sucrose, XQ, Yelan) is better, there is no doubt that the mentioned team are one of their strongest team.
BRAVE FRONTIER!!!! That was my first gacha game lol. I hadn't thought about that game in almost a decade.
Omg Same 😢😢
As a qiqi main I would love any kind of qiqi buff, and as someone who likes her onfeild dps, having her give Debufs would be interesting for shure! (Also the energy/cool downs would be appreciated XD)
Can we take a moment to appreciate his pronunciation fo Keqiun?? That’s the closest I’ve heard from anglophones thank you so much
Omg Vargas and Selena from Brave Frontier at the beginning! I miss my legendary 6 Heroes.
-
Anemo Traveler’s situation is a combination of different things ranging from Venti ( and sucrose ) existing, skill issue, legitimate problems with the character, and not exactly knowing it’s role so everybody expect it to be sucrose.
-
Electro Traveler is in fact the best battery in the game for single characters.
The issue with this traveler is the insane Energy Cost and low multipliers per hit ( although it has an insanely high cumulative multiplier )
By analyzing this kit, the devs, at least initially, intended to make Traveler a hybrid Battery/Electro Shredder/Electro Applicator/Off-Field DPS.
-
I used to really not see a need for that, but as more elements added up, now I see the need for Traveler to be able to change elements without the need for a statue after the first time you obtain the element from the statue.
And I agree that since the style of swordsmanship doesn’t change between elements, the Normal ATKs Talent levels should be carried across them.
But the problem is that Hoyoverse doesn’t really care. They’re not gonna do it.

Heh, when you have to cover 3 versions of the same character that have different issues…
7:28 What did the editor do? Catalyst user: Bararba. Yeah. Dori. HUH? Faruzan... HUH?????
How I would fix Diluc:
Get rid of charges attack passive for every time he triggers a Pyro reaction his elemental mastery increases by like 50 and there is three stacks for his three skills.
Qiqi:
Debuff Defense like you said but also attack and also LET HER GENERATE PARTICLES.
Ningguang:
Her burst, skill and star jades scale off defense.
Example
Hutao gets a skill where ghosts start flying in her direction and get absorbed into her body which would give interruption resistance to her whole team(like Dehya) and give +30% movement speed(since it's just a skill you can spam it when out of battle whenever it's off cooldown to freely have movements speed to help with world exploration).
Qiqi gets a skill that buffs her ER by +100% and your next burst use would alter your burst to where instead of ghosts just being released into the sky they would stay behind your active character and rush into the enemy you're attacking dealing and applying cryo(this effectively makes her a cryo Yelan/Qingqiu and sends her into SS++ tier and also solves her energy issues)
Do this for every character and everything becomes good.
