I mostly listen to industrial and dark electronic music outside of being a Eurovision nut, so pretty much this song was genetically engineered specifically for me. I'm so glad so many people have reacted positively to it! Regardless of any political protests that may or may not end up happening on the day of, it's going to be interesting to see how things go and how people react!

EBM is a genre that has many different styles. Hatari I would say are making Industrial/Techno. I ❤ it! Their show is superb but not the most shocking thing ever. Iceland is one of the countries I look for ward to every year for something different. So when they released this I just had to see it. As a music lover it's a bravo for bringing something new to Eurovision, and then I discovered I was deeply disturbed by the song and needed to go to church and see Jesus. The song is awesome and I so hope they do well with this. I would so go to Iceland next year!

But... coming from a place where we choose someone with an iron mask and singing about cellphones (aparently), for me this... reminds me of Finland's winning song in 2006. Yeah Eyjafjallajökull is going to feel like a garden hose when Katla volcano erupts. It's long overdue, on the same fault line as Eyjafjallajökull but is about 5x bigger and 20x more powerful. God help us all.
Great review :) Just a small correction to Bayley from Australia (on 1:54) - Iceland isn't a part of Scandinavia - same applies to Finland ;) Both are Nordic countries though :) So Scandinavia consists only of Norway, Sweden and Denmark (Norway and Sweden are located on the Scandinavian peninsula but Danmark is an "add on" due to a historical connection).

So proud of them! :) BTW, definitely check out the interviews with these guys - they're hilarious. In response to one social conservative repeatedly railing against them, they issued a public statement announcing that they had hired her as their PR manager, and thanking her for her hard work toward helping them get selected for the competition ;) I just love these guys!

How greed, corruption, capitalism/consumerism rule our lives and a warning against the rise of populism/fascism. How hatred will prevail and love die if we continue on this path.
