I quite like Oliver, but I don't find this amusing. Sometimes he seems to lack the background needed for a correct evaluation of a phenomenon and his humour comes out as shallow. He gives me the impression of misunderstanding Laibach in the same way. In this, Oliver looks like a person who's always searching for answers (or better, clearly understandable positions) and doesn't know what to do when facing people who are instead questioning the way you're looking at the world, without giving precise answers. I hope - for him - that I'm mistaken.

The whole of Europe was in hysterics to see what they would do in the final, and for weeks proceeding the final that's all Eurovision fans would talk about. So your argument was again??

Australia is part of the EBU, the European Broadcasting Union. It has nothing to do with the borders of actual Europe. Though unlike the other participants, Australia is not a full member, so they are a special entrance. And there are other middle-eastern countries able to participate, but that require them to show Israel's entry, which they don't want to do.
