    ZZZ doesn't really have much going for it. The story is meh, the combat is meh, overall, it's just pretty meh... It feels like it spent all its budget on cutscene animations (not even combat animations, since those aren't even that interesting either), and just forgot everything else... For a game that advertises itself as a combat game, it barely has any unique or skillful combat mechanics besides some improved basics... Heck, it doesn't even have jumping...

    • @nvakagames
      @nvakagames  Місяць тому

      There are many games without a jump mechanic because it wasn't needed- ZZZ doesn't need jumping- I think HSR doesn't having jumping either yet it's considered as one of the better games. I think the animations and effects are pretty smooth, I mean that might just be me because I kind of sync the music with attacks sooo... I'm glad they made the cutscenes like they did- it adds a lot more character to the game, it also shows off the style which is kind of good. The combat from what I've played was satisfying, and that's all I really need from a game. Let's just say that it's a style choice- if you don't like it don't play it, and that goes for all games. It's your choice after all.

    I'm already playing hi3, gi and hsr, and I dont hoyo to monopolize my free time so I'm skipping zzz. also, hoyo over the years has made several decisions in their games that I'm not too fond of.
    I'm still experiencing optimization issues post v1.1 update with wuwa which is a big problem for a skill-based dodge-heavy game, and its disappointing as a pgr player who has heard plenty of praise about kuro's pgr having among the best optimization. I've also already lost 50/50 twice in wuwa, at hard pity no less, sure its rng but it still left me frustrated nonetheless. at least with pgr, their 5 stars on release are actually guaranteed at 60 hard pity. none of that 50/50 bs until their rerun.
    If wuwa keeps screwing me over, I may just drop it for either azure promilia, project mugen or breakers unlock the world whenever those come out.

    • @nvakagames
      @nvakagames  Місяць тому

      Azur Promilia looks promising- I hope it's a casual game that you can play whenever. I turned most of my settings down on WuWa and I don't really have frame issues besides when I open the game, so Im not sure what the problem is for some people. Gacha games are frustrating in that regard, you can like a game because you got the highest rarity on a win- and dislike a game that you didn't, that's the main problem with them- the rng kind of decides the enjoyment of the game for some people.

    • @geebeepman
      @geebeepman Місяць тому

      @@nvakagames I strongly feel that azure promilia should make players level our monsters by simply battling other monsters rather than leveling them up via leveling materials. you'd be roaming and interacting with the world on the former and just opening and clicking on menus on the latter.
      actually wuwa has significantly boosted its performance on my end since last night so I'm not annoyed on that regard anymore at least.
      I think gachas should have a good balancing act with their gacha systems. there are ones that I find fair like the aforementioned pgr but its often the ones the copies genshin's gacha system almost if not completely to a tee like wuwa over here that tend to get on my nerves.

    • @nvakagames
      @nvakagames  Місяць тому

      @@geebeepman WuWa's pity system is a lot different than Genshin's. Mostly because weapons and characters are separated and that weapons are guaranteed. The only bad part about it is the 50/50, but most gacha games have that. It would be nice to have a guaranteed first copy and then 50/50 for the extras, I agree, or just less pulls for a guaranteed. I'm not sure what Azur Promilia will offer, but if it's good and interesting I'll play it.

    • @geebeepman
      @geebeepman Місяць тому

      @@nvakagames wuwa has changed up some things like the guaranteed weapon banner for instance and so on but its foundation is still pretty much genshin's, down to its pull cost and dupe system even, etc.; just like with many gachas that have released and are still to come after genshin to varying degrees like my other non-hoyo gacha, scz; not that I blame them ofc cuz why not take some notes from by far the most successful gacha.
      by comparison, pre-genshin gachas I've played were, for better or worse, a lot more varied. brave frontier, optc, dffoo, grandchase, chain chronicle, bloodline, and phantom of the kill among others, including hoyo's very own ggz and hi3.

    • @nvakagames
      @nvakagames  Місяць тому

      @@geebeepman I've only played a few gachas- so I don't know exactly how gachas pre genshin really did it, but I think that WuWa and Genshin have the best gacha I've seen, it's more satisfying to pull in WuWa than it is to pull in ZZZ, HSR, and CRK because I get more use out of each character I pull. I think that the only way to improve gacha is to improve chances of pulling characters and just adding more characters to pull, maybe not with WuWa or Genshin- but with ZZZ it would make sense. Idk, not exactly something I can speak on- but ty for your pov!

    • @nvakagames
      @nvakagames  Місяць тому +5

      @@enjumamoru6513 That is just objectively false. The designs are just a different style than Genshin, and that's not a bad thing. They definitely don't all look the same, you can tell them apart from just silhouettes like many games. The map is not empty what so ever besides there not being enough mint to pick every 10 seconds- it still takes some hours to clear out the map exploration wise, and if we had Genshin movement it would take triple that time. Idk about you, but I can't go back to Genshin exploration after playing WuWa, it's not even close in comparison. The only thing you got right was the good combat.

    • @nvakagames

      I wouldn't say cheap, but it definitely doesn't compare graphics wise. I mean one design is a literal bear so that's cool. I won't be able to play until the 7th or so, so I can't really say much on behalf of ZZZ. Looks like a fun game though.

    ZZZ has zero depth to it's game play. It's a tap fest "watch the health bar go down" game where the most engaging game play is walking forward while attacking.
    It's a quick time event without the quick time event and about as hard to mess up as staring into the Sun for too long.
    It's soulless trash, the icons for items and currency look like shovelware mmo icons, the game is fully instanced with game play that should not be so limited, you can't even jump!
    The story is designed to appeal to the auto-consumers of Marvel movies and the characters are painfully mid, they seemed to of pulled the wool over too many people's eyes.
    It's as tropey as it gets. You have the knockoff deadpool, the labotomised genius, the male MC is a simp for that pink haired girl who accepts jobs for credit she's never going to pay accepting blatantly obvious scammy clauses she proposes, while he's supposed to be caring for himself and his sister, and their shop. The event character is a "look but don't touch" pet maid that is actually rightly cold on accounts of being sick of weirdos groping her tail.
    This is a "my first gacha game" and it's not a good one at all...

    • @nvakagames
      @nvakagames  Місяць тому

      I think this isn't completely accurate. There is no jump because there is no reason to have it, multiple games don't have jumping and yet they are still good. I think you're bashing too much on the combat, it's a style choice, not everyone will like it. I think it's more of a game that people play who like something such as Sonic. I played it for a little bit so far, it didn't feel like my type of game, and I feel the same way with Sonic games. The story has been quite engaging for me the little amount of time I've played it. Also in the story Nicole did pay us (the MC) after being saved from the Hollow. Imo the music carries the game for me, but even if it does that doesn't make it soulless. The fact that the music is the part I like the most is weird, because normally in games I don't like as much the music I don't like because of the game- so this is kind of different. It's all in who's judging, not everyone is going to like every game, and that's ok- but you can't call it garbage when it isn't.

    • @jumpkicking
      @jumpkicking Місяць тому

      @@nvakagames The game play is painful. It really is "watch the hp bar deplete". There's no depth at all and it becomes: spam the strongest attack, click when the game tells me to.
      It has no substance. It feels outdated, there's no innovation, nothing new. The gimmick quick time event isn't even fun.
      It's just lazy, the game play loop is lazy, this is not the competition any of us want with this industry. It's complacent, lazy game play design. This is not an industry standard we want.

    • @nvakagames
      @nvakagames  Місяць тому

      @@jumpkicking Not every game has to or is going to bring something new to the table. I agree it's lazy, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun for people. I kind of compare it to Sonic, it all feels the same, it's stylized- specific- but there will still be some people that enjoy it. It may be boring for you, but when it comes to calling it a "first gacha game" and it not being a good one, you can't imagine what it's like to play ZZZ as your first gacha game if you've already played other gacha games. You're not playing it as your first gacha game. I'm not saying you can't be critical, but you can't speak for people playing it as their first. I'm also not saying that games shouldn't be innovative- they should be- but not every game will be.

      @@nvakagames It feels like a mill game. Hoyoverse spitting out a game just to sell with no substance, just happening to drop a month after WuWa, the time frame used to capitalize on people who may of dropped of of WuWa. It's no coincidence and it's rushed to hit that mark. The arenas are all the same and as an instanced game there really should be some variance, something other than the exact same arena. The TV system is just five hours of the same thing, it feels like it's all a bodge-job. Sure there might be a decent story, sure it may have some aesthetic appeal and I guess it was designed by passionate people, but it's really a corpse paraded around. It needed more time, and it needed to be designed properly. It's a response that's dead on arrival. Another attempt to monopolize the gacha space. Had Had the development met the design, had it got the right development time and had they not made this superficial game play loop of tapping, having little autonomy over combos as it all plays itself like a auto-play with the tedium of actually having to tap to keep its heart beating... it could've been great. This game is out-dated on arrival, it's not what we want as an industry standard. We want proper competition that's going to make the space shake and get better. This is not good for this competition we need. This is a game designed to be farming peoples first investment stimulus payments.

      @nvakagames  Місяць тому

      @@jumpkicking All gacha games are this way, at least live service. 1.0 is going to be the bones of a good game, that's just how it is. Genshin was that way, WuWa is that way, ZZZ is that way. It knocks certain sections out of the park, but misses on other parts. ZZZ is music, style, and aesthetic. WuWa is combat, exploration, and atmosphere. Genshin is atmosphere, characters, and maybe story. They all hit different areas, they're all different and for different people. I think ZZZ is for people who feel like they're actually part of the game, doing the commissions because they feel like it's a job they have to do that they enjoy. They just have to do more with commissions, going through the hollows and doing stuff- it's the bones. These games aren't supposed to give enough content to make you play it for a year off of release, especially ZZZ. I agree it's meh, but it's not so bad that it's not worth playing. It's hack and slash, there are many games that are hack and slash, the job of ZZZ is to make the hack and slash somewhat specialized which is what the shields should be used for. It's not complete, it's not perfect, it's not the best, but it isn't absolute garbage, it's not soulless, the animation is enough to prove that.
