Well done to Airfix for introducing such kits for starters like this..Also a great leap for Airfix releasing these beginners kits in this scale..Hope they catch on as no one else are making these type of models in 1/35.. Great video showing and explaining this kit..
I'm a volunteer with Models For Heroes and these Quick Build kits are a big hit with some of the beneficiaries that lack the skills for more complex kits. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve now completed my model took me about 40 minutes. I made a few mistakes and had to go back but got there in the end. It was challenging but therapeutic. Thanks for the video. I might try another one next week.
Very good. Ideal for younger builders and those who don't want to get involved in glue and paint. I used to build using glue, but didn't go well with my breathing issues. Now build Cobi brick tanks, no mess, no smell and just as satisfying. I can recommend Cobi using 1:35, 1:28 and 1:12, historically accurate. Good to see Airfix getting involved in military modelling. Will be interested to see future builds. Cheers.
Looks good. I recently built the QF Spitfire and that is every bit as fun as that Tiger looks. As for Lego not doing military, you are very correct but there are quite a few other companies out there that do. I have a Hanomag and a Schwimmwagen and recently picked up a Tiger 1, Jagdpanther, Cromwell and Sherman. All decent quality these days and all come with around 400 parts so they are well detailed. Amazon sell them and so do Temu and AliEx. 3rd party kits have come a long way and are not illegal as Lego no longer hold copyright on the bricks. Only on the designs. Grea vid. Keep it up.
I brought a few of these kits for my son for Xmas and he loved them but we were a bit disappointed the challenger tank was the only tank on the list because the model itself is good an easy to build and the tracks move unlike an actual glue kit model which he loved he still plays with it now. So after waiting most of last year to see if they released anything new but didn't, I decided around the end of August to email airfix quick build to say how much my son and I enjoyed them and suggested a list of tanks of which the tiger and the Sherman firefly was first on my list and they replied literally the next day I've still got there email stored. As soon as I saw QuickBuild Tiger and Sherman firefly appear on there site to preorder I wondered then did someone on the team like my list or did enough people email the same as me?? Hi R Thank you for your email, we are very pleased the enjoyment of our Quickbuild range brings to you and your son. I have passed the suggestions onto the Airfix team. Unfortunately, we are unable to comment on any future releases. Thank you also for taking the time to email us. Wishing you both the very best, Kind Regards, J Airfix Marketing Team
Fantastic on the strength of seeing your video. I’m going to pop down to my local model shop tomorrow. See if they’ve got any install and give it a go as I’m currently building the tigrr tank. & the very wonderful Russian T34 , which as you well know came straight out of the factory not painted anything jagged edges unlike the tigers who were over engineered 🇩🇪
I will get this for my granddaughter to build with me. I know she’ll like it. For myself I’ve also got the 2 big F1 cars, the McLaren and the Mercedes.
I've now got two QuickBuilds under my belt, the Ford Mustang and the Audi R8. I've never attempted to build a tank before, but since this comes with the individual tracks like most modern 1/35 scale tank models these days, it might be a good introduction to that sort of kit for younger modelers.
This is perfect for my niece and nephew to build as they’re always trying to get involved with my model building but I don’t want them using glue or paint.
Nice kit, my only complaint could be about the tracks, for younger kids could be difficult build all this tiny pieces together, but overall is very good (perhaps they should've made it in sand colored plastic).👍
Good point! I think adult supervision is always a good idea. and sand would have been a great colour too.. they'll probably release them again in all sorts of colours like the plane range
They sure did learn from their mistakes like their first tank they made the chally 2 like say the turret was a pain to rotate and the tracks were just not realistic I’m sure I’m gonna get this 😊

Great video showing and explaining this kit..
Couldn't agree more!
Do these go with the 1/32 WW2 German soldiers? Or not?

Love the charity! So much respect

Ideal for my grandson. I think I'll be picking one of these up. Cheers Mos 😎
no worries :)
Tip - Use the spare tracks and find a good place to glue them to realistic locations on the hull

That's the best looking quick build yet!! 👍

*Only missing is some paint, but for young beginners this kind of kit is perfect!*
This is amazing
Great quick build of the quick build 🔧 looks like a nice kit. I enjoyed the video mate, cheers for showing this 👍
its a very fun build
Very cool build Mos!

I have subscribed to your channel 😊
Awesome! Thank you!
I see they also do the Sherman tank and quite a range of other models, including modern day stuff cool 😊
Not something I'd buy myself but it was still very interesting watching this. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’ve just checked online to see how much they are. That’s very reasonable price.
Cobi do military bricks, fun to build.

Looks a nice build. Question, even though it is painted, could you add more. I wonder if someone would like to add there own camouflage.
I have seen people do that.. prime it first mind..
Nice job I want one

Can you put the spare tracks in the bracket at the front? A bit of extra armour…
if you look at the thumbnail I have put them there..
How does that compare to Cobi?
There are actually LOADS of military brick models out there. Check out Brick Tanks and Cobi. The Airfix Quickbuild tanks do look good too.
Yes i wasn't saying that military was around, it's that Lego dont do military... :)
Cool 👍
Right, I’ve been faffing about and finally ordered one from Amazon the tiger tank how many other tanks do Airfix do in that range?
just the sherman and 1/72 challenger
Pity they don’t do the Russian T-3 4 . The tigrr tank is the one I need for my battle scene.
Cobi is military brick built toy line.
Is this scale of tank similar to the 1/32 Airfix German soldiers? And will the figures blend in?
minor size difference so might get away with it
Interested how the sherman looks to see if it would fit into 54mm wargameing and hope it wont look too small next to airfix or britains detail.
They sure did learn from their mistakes like their first tank they made the chally 2 like say the turret was a pain to rotate and the tracks were just not realistic I’m sure I’m gonna get this 😊
@@_deqi. have to agree with that.. and it’s the only challenger Airfix ever released!! Would love them to release the challenger 3
