Airfix have release their QuickBuild F-35 Lightning II and i'm going to build and review it.. Brand new freshly tooled.. this model looks fantastic. Great to give away as gifts to friends, a great secret santa gift.. this F-35 Lightning II scale model kit doesn't need glue or paints so its mess free.. and very easy to build.. in fact its a quick build.. Airfix have done a great job with this kit.. so why not buy it and build it this week. Airfix quick build are available from their website now..

F-35B Lightning II The F-35 is a single-seat, single-engine supersonic jet with the most advanced computers and networking abilities yet to take to the air, and stealth capabilities designed to make it hard to pick up on enemy radar. The F-35B variant, which has a lift fan mounted behind the cockpit giving the jet short take-off and vertical landing (STOVL) capabilities, meaning it can hover like a Harrier. Working alongside the Typhoon, the F-35 will operate from land, but most importantly it will fly from the two new Royal Navy Queen Elizabeth carriers..

The pre-coloured pieces simply push together to build an impressive model which can then be decorated with the included self-adhesive stickers. No paint or glue is needed to make these fantastic models look like the real thing, and once completed there’s no evidence of any of the brick fittings showing. When built they are tough enough to be used as toys, or smart enough to use as display models. Either will show off those great modelling skills!

I really like the quick builds they're very impressive. I do hope Airfix continues to expand their range I would love a F15 an F18 a YF23 and so on. Add the Lancaster Bomber too.

Wish they will bring out F-14 Tomcat, F-15 Eagle and F-18 Hornet kits.
Now I've seen one actually built up, this is a nice concept for beginners, and the end result looks pretty authentic.

Wow 🤩 this might be the best Airfix quick build ever moving parts and you can change if your f35 lighting 2 is Uk or USA i really like that idea I might actually get it definitely looks amazing and worth it I would love to see more moving part Airfix quick build aircraft in the future because that is outstanding I’m very impressed

I've bought a few of these kits to give as presents to kids to see if they like it and hope they get the bug... always keep an eye out in LIDL and ALDI for discounted kits.

only used the green.. its less messy and you only use what you need :)
F-35B length according to RAF is 15.6m (1560cm) ... AirFix model length listed on the box is 260mm (26cm) ... 1560/26 = 60 ... so the model scale is 1/60.

I want muss and fuss, I will pay extra for muss and fuss. If I didn't want muss and fuss I would just collect rocks.It is a good little looking kit for some people.

Not built an airfix in about 40 years but thinking of getting a couple of these quick build and a couple of starter kits .....one question, are these model making tool kits I have seen on amazon with tweezers etc for £10 worth it for a beginner ?
As a starter then yes.. buy those tool kits.. but if you find yourself getting serious then i suggest buying proper sprue cutters and sanding sticks later on

I live in Preston near BAE system in Samlesbury where thay have both the English electric lighting and new F35 lightning guarding the gate as you drive passed. Also make typhoon jets there. Always flying over preston looking to get a EE lightning to build. How is yours coming along. Always look forward to your videos

What scale do you think these are? Airfix website doesn't have a scale on them. They look between 1/32 and 1/48 for mine. Would be interested to see what these looked like if you did a paint job on them!

I have a question i just ordered this kit but i wont get it for a while because it says its on pre order and i was wondering is it like that for everyone and did they get it quick.
They sold out really quickly.. but they do get regular drops as the company that makes them are in the UK

There are some pictures of my work on Festas 67 workshop FB, he has a youtube channel, I don't have FB myself so sent him them and he put them on there, haven't a clue what reaction they got as I can't see them :)

@@MOS6510Models Ok ! Thank you! I bought the model and painted it! It looks great with grey paint and I managed to make some detailes on it! I would be happy if they would made some fine decals not just regular stickers for this model! But is ok! i think is the best modern quickbuild model that they ever made!
The raf roundels are actually wrong the ones In the kit look like RAF ww2 roundels when actually they are much different in real life

some of your decals are in the wrong place, the upper wing roundel is on the wrong wing and the air intake warnings are in the wrong place, other that not bad but i'll stick with my glue and mess
