It's a good old camera, I still have 3 of it (and an E-100RS) with plenty of accessories: 1.7x telephoto lens, macro lenses, color filters, polar filter, IR filter (this camera is good for IR photographing) and many Smart Media cards.
Great review, the image quality really surprised me, I was expecting to see pixels on the screen. I love the boxy style of the camedia Z and UZ series, shame the industry later went for the boring dslr body style for bridge and prosumer cameras.
Agree, it's a shame they fell into the same design style... When I first saw the 2100 I was surprised that it was sooo boxy, haha. But it looks seriously fun. The boxiness makes it nice to handle as well.
Yeah I didn't really comment on the video quality but I guess the samples spoke for themselves, so I think your analysis is accurate.😁In movie mode it shoots 320 x 240, 15 fps and is also restricted to 42 seconds. 😅
I recommend using a card reader that reads SmartMedia-cards, like the "Hama 35 in 1 USB 2.0" I show in a later episode. 🙂 Sometimes when I've tried connecting an old camera via USB, my iMac won't recognize it.
Thanks, happy to hear that! 😎The C-2100 was a nice find since I got it for approx. 6 dollars... I'm sure lithium/rechargeable batteries would give a greater capacity, but haven't gotten around to investing in it. I could really use those since many old digicams use two or four AA's...and when they do the battery life usually sucks. I still haven't run out of my current supply of AAs though. 😅
Lithium batteries will give much better battery life than alkaline can manage, by the way, the EVF can eat nearly as much juice as the LCD screen. I only use rechargeable batteries in my camedia collection, but buy the best batteries, i.e Eneloop Pro's, they last for years. Regards Rob (UK).
I've thought about doing a "how to"-video regarding importing from different old digicams, so that's certainly on my upcoming videos-list. Thanks for your input! 😎

The cases I could think of where this type of video would be "ok":
1) viewing the video on mobile phones of the same era
2) animated gifs

Nice camera! I love your reviews. Any difference in battery life using Lithium batteries instead of AA's?

Regards Rob.
I am enjoying your reviews and have subscribed.
What camera(s) are you using to record these reviews? Thanks!
Cool to hear! I'm using Canon 6D mark II as my main camera and iPhone for complementary shots. 😁
Actually I borrowed a DJ Pocket for this particular video too, which I shot the "meta" photo scenes with. :)
@@ccderik Thanks. Video looks great too.
Can you please review how to import photos from the camera to the computer?

Smart media card reader with USB connector for computer.
I have and old UZI 2100, it's dead, won't power up. I miss it, thoughts?
Tried both regular AA batteries and rechargable ones? If so, RIP. 🥲😁
