  • Take a closer look at Jacksonville Fire and Rescue’s first of three sister Enforcer™ 107’ Ascendant® Heavy-Duty Tiller Aerial Ladder with department engineer Chad Shannon. Transverse compartments and slide-out trays on this TDA allow access from each side of the apparatus. The command zone aerial panel provides information regarding the ladder angle, degree of operation and height from the ground. The metallic gray and blue lighting on the tractor drawn aerial provide increased visibility.

Good presentation. A lot of folks stumble through these and make them boring and uninteresting. I actually wanted you to show us more!

A lot of departments seem to going to these no pump no hose tillers that double as a rescue.

It’s a smart idea , Ladders shouldn’t have hose or pumps anyway that’s the Engine company’s job

Maybe go further and put most of rescue equipment on engines as well, then you don't need ladder trucks to be so large and carry so many firefighters. If aerial is just aerial and nothing else, it can be much smaller (for the same ladder size) and doesn't need all that tiller mechanisms. If only somebody ran appliances this way... Ah, yeah, the whole world (besides America) does it.

@@solarissv777 in my fire district there only one rescue that doubles as a pumper and all the ladders double as rescues and all the engines double as emts.ears. everyone's area different. Bothell fire scfd 10 if you wanna know more.
