- Introducing the Wren and Cuff Violet Fuzz, a new product exclusive to Chicago Music Exchange. Joel demos this unique effects pedal and explains what makes it so special.
The Violet Fuzz is a Big Muff style pedal, based on the '73-74 Violet Muffs. The Wren And Cuffs are made with a BC108C transistor found in the silicon fuzz faces from the same era. NOT REPLICAS! Actual factory-sealed NOS Motorola BC108C transistors that Wren and Cuff got ahold of, so the supply will be limited to the number of transistors that they found. Once they're gone, these pedals will never be made again.
There are a lot of ways to play with this fuzz pedal and Joel talks us through many of the options while playing through a cool Gibson '59 Reissue Murphy-Aged Les Paul Sunburst guitar and the much-loved Tone King Royalist amp. Enjoy!

Actually no, it's a very common and great sound used by hundreds of pro (and not so pro) famous players since the 60s & 70s. Hendrix, Page, Eric Johnson, Billy Corgan, Bonamassa, Auerbach...
