As a former competitive diver, I am honestly so jealous of the facilities and care being put into this. I’m so sorry they put you through that. The number one thing I’ve found that leads me to success in anything I try is trust. Being willing to let go of my need for control and trust that if I relax and let my teacher guide me that I’ll be safe. Having that trust violated is the worst thing that can happen as a student. I hope that experience hasn’t kept you from trusting other mentors in your life. *hugs*

Yeah I had the same experience with my already pretty bad fear of heights and the fact that I had just learned to properly swim less than a week from that, they had us try it once, half explained because they also had their group that had been there for a while expected us to be able to do it, I only lasted a month because my panic attacks where getting extremely bad because of it but I wish I had someone to actually teach me because I know I would have loved it with the right teachers 😔

I think it's just as scary because it's something that could go wrong so quickly due to you not being confident in your diving. It's similar to when people jump from high places or house roof tops into the backyard pool. There are so many people who second guess themselves, don't commit to the jump and end up breaking their back or legs.

The one thing that I really love more than everything else about the Try Guys content - and it is present in almost every video of them - is the support they give each other.
Lifting each other's spirits up, encouraging the other and even if the other fails they still build them up and support them.
That is such a rare thing these days and I love how natural it feels in these videos. That's not staged, that's actually just being a good, decent person.
