Terry Riley - In C - Dutch Harp Festival 2021

Live performance at the Dutch Harp Festival 2021 (May 15, 2021), TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht (NL).
Together with her colleague Gwyneth Wentink, Miriam Overlach presents a version of Terry Riley's legendary minimal music piece ‘In C‘, specially arranged for a large harp orchestra, consisting of harp students from the conservatories of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp. A dazzling and hypnotizing performance of transforming rhythms, speeds and density of harp sounds!

i highly recommend playing it without the pulse notes if the composer permits

I agree - or have the pulse played by something non-pitched. Wasn't it a maraca on the very first performance, played by Steve Reich?

I'm quite liking this perfomance of 'In C'. Visually, I think we and, even more so, the audience could have done without the annoying flashing light display.

I've listened to this a few times on my laptop. The other day, I went to play this on UA-cam connected to my car speakers and it was a very disappointing experience! It sounded as if the recording was in 'mono' and not stereo. Is this the case? I'm not totally averse to mono recordings but if ever a recording needs to be utilising stereo it's Tery Riley's IN C !!! If there is a stereo version, then can we hear it? Such a shame, given the quality of the music.
