I chuckle ever time he says "Bust-toise" haha
I went to a private school full of ambassadors' kids, senators' kids, preachers' kids, etc--the kind who's parents would give them a car, a bottle, and $50 to get lost for the weekend. The students almost all got into their first choice of college. The class valedictorian had an interview with an interviewer who came from Massachusetts to see him. The kid asked '"WHEN I'm at Harvard, where can I park my Cadillac roadster?" He didn't get in.
Ski trip to Italy might be normal in San Marino.
A lot of hight school in France have trips like this if you happen to be a member of the sport team.
@@lechatrelou6393My school had a trip for kids to go to France for a week. We stayed in a youth hostel and the last day we went to Disneyland.
10:48, Dude, If You Climb Up Those Tikis Before The Thunder One Explodes, You Can Find A Sock On That Structure!
The sweet 16 and the Quinceañera originally marked that a girl was old enough for suitors
Normal school ski trip to Italy I can see that done, especially if your school is like a spit away from Italy.
Man it is nice living in central Europe.
Sweet 16s are a holdover from the early years of "teenager" being a concept. Like, 30s-70s is when they were a "thing" in American culture. Basicaly, when a girl turned 16 that's when she was culturally allowed to start doing things like picking her own clothing, determining what makup to wear, and so on. It was a formal date of "Okay daughter, I have taught you how to woman, go woman for your last few years of parental supervision so I can see if I fucked up." It's also not a separate party, it's an upgraded birthday party which held genuine meaning at the time.
Sweet sixteen used to mean the girls are available to marry now…. It’s an out of date custom.
At least in the US, it now means we're old enough to drive and can start being trusted with actual adult responsibilities like a credit card or similar.
I felt that no
#6 - that girl is a legend
Hey for the ski trip to Italy thing it is doable in regular highschool..my crappy H.s in Texas had trips like that..but it was through the Italian language club/class..and always like a senior trip kinda thing it didn't specify in the story if it was one of those clubs or classes but if it was just a regular senior trip it really depends on where they went exactly and who they used travel agent and airline..plus a lot of teachers could have kin and spouses with said air lines and racked up a bunch of air line miles and shared them with the school and gotten something to claim on Taxes too but with enough fundraising and bake sales and booster clubs for everything not all sports related a school trip to Europe is doable for a blue collar school we had senior trips to Italy and Germany and Mexico i just never went my grades sucked and my school was like Lawndale from daria and highland high from Beavis and Butt-head and we had a bunch of Beavis and Butt-heads and darias at my school and they were the ones who went on those trips we didn't have wealthy kids..at all just clever teachers and parents that wanted to get rid of these idiots for a few weeks..lol..of course that was over 20 years ago and probably harder now but it was do able for a pooer or blue collar school especially if they went to someplace like Tyrole in the italian alps a poor mans swiss alps .lol maybe not now but when I was in HS it was where most hs senior ski trips were because it was cheap and it didnt say it but im sure those brats flew coach or economy..haha it's cheaper for schools 😅
Normal school and ski trip to Italy. So from the sounds of it, it’s at least a British school, with the year-system. Still costs a lot of money, but something a lot of them do or offer. May be a higher secondary school for smarter kids, or those who go at least appeal.
Story 5 had a good ending
My school had ski trip to Italy and France and Belgium
Age 16 has meaning in some areas
Ore’-uh-gun. Say it with me: Ore’-uh-gun. (Still liked the video!) There is no “e” at the end so I never understand why people say “gone”. Gun, not gone. Thank you - the grammar Nazi is now leaving.
I admit I was spoiled as a kid but damn. I was never as bad as any of these brats. Especially at school. Thank gods. Never whined about the color car I got. First car was a black Rav4 97 or 98 model year. I loved it but I did not treat it well. It collected a lot of trash and I have since tried to make sure I never have my car be anywhere close to as bad as I made that. I did put in a minidisc deck in it. Those were great back in the day.
15:06 Oh gross, back to predator. Because if he's an adult then that is statutory.
Mispronouncing Blastoise wrong triggered me 😂
nearest I can tell... a "sweet 16" is because its the age most kids get a drivers license..... which as you can imagen, in the US the ability to drive is a big deal cuz...... cars? I dunno... never understood it.....
why do you call blastiose bust-oise?
Rufus, in story 1, sweet 16 does mean something, in Murrica you can get a drivers licens for a car
hello
Story 1: i don't think poles have a strong accent( she said nie or no in polish at the end) as i am a pole and don't have an accent
