Hey! Just a tip about your workspace, you should rise your monitor to avoid neck pain. It is recommended to put it so that the center of your monitor is at the same level as your eyes :) Other tip, your screen should be at least as far as your arm length ! Just tips but it could help :) If needed, don't hesitate to buy an arm ! Nice vid, can't wait for the next !
@@aircolumbia9579 Oh really ? I have mine set as what I've described and honnestly, I feel more comfortable. Maybe I'm wrong !! It's never bad to try new things to see if it fits better for each individual 😬 Thanks for your comment !
I had the same setup as you and after attending a training on that topic, I changed it and it really made a difference for me. But as long as you feel comfortable and don’t experience any neck issues in the long run with your individual setup.
I've been using a similar monitor height, while they do recommend the top of the monitor at eye level i'm already looking down so much during the day i find it feels good to counter that by looking up a bit when on my computer.
I'm thoroughly captivated by this video. It serves as a brilliant example of how one can achieve a remarkable setup without having to shell out a fortune for it.
Hey I think your plant is some version of a draceana (Dracaena fragrans), also called a corn plant. I love them because they're very easy to care for and have beautiful leaves.
I used to try and cram as much as i could onto my desk setup but it ended up just being cluttered, messy and distracting. I ended up replacing it with an all-in-one pc so it looks super clean and spacious now.
Hey Nicholas. I noticed that you like the simple pencils like shown in the intro to your videos. Looks like a Dixon Ticonderoga. Just a heads up, Dixon makes a "black" version of the pencils which I think would fit in more to your minimalist desk setup. They also have higher end "better lead' versions that I think are a good intentional upgrade for me.
A truly minimalistic office desk setup! Cool. I suggest using a USB-C docking station whereby you connect your peripherals so you only have to plug in your laptop once instead of doing so individually with your monitor, USB drives, etc. each time you return to your desk.
This video is so helpful as are the other digital org videos you've made! I am using these tips to transform my home-based work setup, which has been a disaster until I became motivated by your videos. Also value the discussion and links to products that actually work and are reasonably priced. I am going to try the air purifier in my teen's room--thanks for showing that! I appreciate your work and the thought and design behind it. Also, enjoy knowing that your desk friend is named Paul.
My desk setup is small is minimal. My work/creative/project table next to it is large and completely bare. It keeps me focused to start a project, put away supplies, and then blank slate again!
Love this one. Calms the mind as usual. Small suggestion: An arm for the monitor will clear up space under it so you can place your macbook and it's good for your neck :) Just noticed there's another comment on this as well.
Amazing Setup 🆒. Question: BTW ,Do you play any games on your phone, tab or pc.., if yes then please mention name and follow any system of lockscreen and homescreen setup?
I think a pc with this case: 'Fractal Design North Chalk White - Wood Oak front - Mesh side panels - Two 140mm Aspect PWM fans included - Intuitive interior layout design - ATX Mid Tower PC Gaming Case' would fit perfectly on your setup:)
Deffo going to check those wallpapers out, and glad it will be helping out your caffeine addiction. If your not shaking you’ve not had enough coffee. Funny you mentioned birthdays, was mine recently 🎉 That’s awesome that the setup your using isn’t the really top end flashy ones that some other UA-camrs yell that you need to be a good youtuber. What you have is pretty damn great and is super inspiring that you pump out this awesome content using stuff we can all get. Love the screen, do you find that it’s a good size to have. I need a bigger monitor but deffo think 27 would be big enough. Yes! That made me chuckle seeing Paul, good name right. I’m honoured! I agree with stop motion, it’s a really great animation that isn’t used enough I reckon. That orbitkey box is really good, useful and minimal. Awesome insight into your setup buddy! Great work again mate!
I have pretty much the same set up now. An old(er) "gaming" laptop Omen by Hp 15, (2018) but i don't do games as for now, also because it's too weak for some tittles so I use as a power to HP monitor M24f. I have an option if I need to do few things I can have those 2 displays. NGL it's better to watch UA-cam, netflix on bigger screen :) or do digital art If I feel inspired ^^ and my desk is also bought around 2017-2018 in well known furniture store around $40 if I went to convert to USD. (160PLN)
Hi Nicholas! Great content as always. Quick question: do you use a microphone to record your videos? I checked on your Amazon list and can’t find it. Thanks!
My desk/workspace is probably the most important part of where I live, aside from my bed. So glad you made this video.
I think it's for most of us :D

That’s actually false. It’s recommended that the upper egde/rim of the screen is at eye level, so that you look slightly downnwards.

Do you find that your air purifier removes dust from the air too? As in it is not as dusty in your room as before you got it?
I just built a desk at bar height, and use a barstool when I want to sit. No moving parts.
Awesome content!! Could you please make a video on how you edit your videos??
I might one day!
i love the plants, gonna add two to my setup

What year is the MacBook?
How’s do you feel about it’s keyboard?

Trust me you need a M2 MacBook Air. Even if you get the base model with no upgrade it will be enough to make a HUGE difference in your workflow.

Nice homie. This setup is moist. I dig it. Cheers
How do you connect the macbook to your display with just one cable? Most tech UA-cam guys recommend buying ugly ass dongles. Pls help
Thunderbolt 3 cable. It’s usb-c and charges the laptop 😄

Hi! Great video, and really like the desk setup - just curious on the size you went with for the desk, is it the 55” x 28” option? thanks

I have the 32 inch version of your monitor and I can say, it's probably the best monitor in the market. The color accuracy is chef's kiss.
Agreed!!

Hi. What is the spec of your MacBook. I am curious what spec is enough for editing 4K videos like this.
He said its the base macbook pro and assuming its the current model its an m2 cpu with 8gb ram and 256gb ssd.
@@leemanwrong I think it isn't because that's what I thought when he sold his desktop PC and he responded he wish it was the M2😊
@@leemanwrong wow that’s amazing. Great 4k video made from the cheapest MacBook Pro.
@@subaruboy2453 Yeh the M2 chip is more than enough for 4k content, even the older m1 found in the macbook air is fine for that.

Serious question: How do you justify being a minimalist while also having things “just for the aesthetic”?
I struggle with this as well
