Thank you so much for making this channel! Ive been wanting to try locs for so long now and freeform really seems like the style that would work best for me. Its so nice to have someone to look at and feel more confident in starting the journey even when its looking flat and matted. Just changing my perspective and embracing the beauty in how wacky it can get.
Thank you for taking the time to watch 🙏🏾🙌🏾and that’s all I’m here to do! ☺️ Appreciate you saying so. I hope the journey is kicking off to an amazing start! Just remember to embrace and appreciate the every stage you and your hair will go through during the journey! ✊🏾🙏🏾❤️

Man, that truly means a lot. Truly appreciate you taking the time to even say that. Hopefully one day I can get like you brother! Just hoping to inspire a few folks embarking or already on the journey 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾
love your videos man and I learned a lot. I want to start freeform locs but I cut all my hair off in late November. Any tips on hair growth so I can start my freeform journey? I have 4c hair
Hey man! Perfect timing - I was actually just working on a video that gets more into this, that I'm hoping to post tomorrow. I have 4c hair as well - so I would typically wait until I have a small fro, at least 2-3 inches and then grow from there. Once you have that minimal length, wash with cold water, and move your palm around your scalp to encourage initial locking. I get more into this in the washing video on my page. And with being consistent from there. Youll be golden! Hope this helps dude! And thank you for watching! Hope to hear that the process is going well soon!
the days when you are not washing, do you still get your hair wet or do you just wear a shower cap. I feel like the days in between wash days you shouldn’t get your hair super soaked is that true or
Hey whatup John! Great question - It's one I get asked a lot by my fam too actually. But now that it's winter, if I'm not washing my haur, I would usually abstain from getting my hair wet altogether. Not because I'm afraid of affecting my locs but mainly because I don't want to deal with wet hair and go outside. But back in the summer and even once in awhile here and there today although rarely, I'll go ahead and let cool water run through my hair without soap. This is usually if I'm taking a cold shower (weird - I know, but I take em for fun sometimes lol). I love giving my head a rinse once in awhile with cold water and no soap. I'll even lightly move my palms in wide circles thru my hair to encourage locking while doing so. I go into more detail on this in the washing video on my page. But all in all, I would say it's up to preference, I wouldn't wet my head every single day in between washes. But if there are a few days you just want to run cool water through your hair. I see no problem in doing so! Hope this helps and thanks for watching bro!
Hey man! I usually get my hair wet in between washes but only with cool water. I maybe do it once additional day out of the week. And haven't done it much lately, since winter has NYC cold af. But in moderation, I see no problem in wetting your hair with cool water in between washes.
John! 🙌🏾🙏🏾 Thanks man - appreciate that, trust me- looks a lot better on screen than in person. 😂 Momma already ragging me lol. But since starting - I have not. My hair type is 4c and usually tends to bundle and bunch up on it's own when in afro-mode. So, I been a blessed in that dept. And then I just make sure whenever I wash them, I use cold water only and while shampooing/rinsing, I mimic circular motions with my palm to encourage sectioning. I talk more about this in my washing video on my page. Hope this helps!

Yo so my hair is like a mini Afro now that Its picked it out. What do I do now to start the locking process? Should I use a sponge first to get them twisted then let them grow ? How do I get the little twist
