Twinking is fun as sometimes you get to go on dragon rescue missions in dragonbarrow when Hosts and their babysitters are attacking the poor mother dragon
i would disagree with learning on low levels. I picked up a lot of bad habits playing against bad players, when i got to "meta" level i came across some players that were good enough to where more than 1 was an impossible fight. I strongly recommend arena duels at "meta" first, then invasions AND co-op at low levels and move up to higher levels at your own pace. i know ppl frown on co-op, but it honestly is a challenge keeping a guy with 10 vigor alive through a level like leyndel or forsaken depths, and even more so with an invader. Also, you learn SO MUCH in terms of level layouts, where and when co-opers feel comfortable progressing, and taking advantage of that to lure them to dangerous enemies and ledges that can turn a dire situation into a win. try to make a point to clear an ENTIRE level with your host, learn where the ladders are, where the points of no return are, the shortcuts, where the tough enemies are and what its like to not want to approach so you can learn how to lure ppl in. Like sun-tzu said, know your enemy right? there will be situations where no matter how good you are, you cant win the fight, so you gotta get these clowns to BEAT THEMSELVES with their own stupidity and lack of knowledge.
I disagree partially but that's a very interesting take! I guess trying to keep a clueless host alive WOULD be a pretty difficult task, I'll need to try that out sometime
RL30 invasions are my favourite. I get invasions instantly 9 out of 10 times, as opposed to meta levels where instant invasions are almost non existent and it takes forever to find one. There are almost no gank squads, the damage is also nice so fights usually last longer even tho some people really do not points into vigor and those tend to end quickly. Another point that is not so good is the fact that you encounter some people that really just don't know how to play at all so those fights are boring, it still is fun to help by healing them through the area with warming stones. Twinking is super recommended, you will encounter alot of overleveled phantoms and when you do there should be a way for you to be able to deal with them, it's easy to get up to leyndel at lvl 30 and for those that play well it should be feasable to complete the game at that level too so you have access to everything you might want (or just cheat the items). Overall RL30 invasions allow for a varied combat experience, you can one shot many players if you choose to do so and have many ways to do it, or if you see the host and phamtoms do low damage you can use a lower damage setup to have some interesting and long lasting fights. Edit: Limgrave is one of the worst areas in the entire souls series if not the worst (for my taste). I'm under the impression that many invaders also find it boring, it's just an open field, if I didn't want to use the level design and environment I'd go to the arena.
My man you are nuts. I've been ganked by 3 guys on my level 60, 2 of whom are 200+, more times than I can count. I pvp every day and have no life. I know what I'm talking about. You clearly dont.

what if the enemy has dual spears or antspur? I mean your setup is actually solid but both these weapons can clown on it due to range and balance ( or lack there of ). or even worse, overleveled dragon casters. There is only so much you can do to play against massive AOE damage

Low levels are my favorite to invade right now. I have experimented with RL 30, 40, 50 and 60, all planning what items i could get legit and avoiding twinking as much as possible. My favorite of those are RL30, the amount of invasions you get is so good, and not that many dedicated gank squads. At this level, I get invasions in Limgrave, Weeping Peninsula, Castle Morne, Stormveil, Liurnia, Caria Manor and even Raya Lucaria. I consider it twinking only if it comes from areas beyond those.
My beef with low level invasions is you'll try to make a fair RL1 character at first but after a while you'll end up with a health regen build, volcano pots and thunderbolt. I have a Hussar in mind now, with the lance, a greatshield, but don't mind if i fatroll. Maybe stick bloodflame on the lance with impaling thrust.
I'm the guy who doesn't like limgrave 🗿 Personally the three best areas in game is Stormveil (I don't count that as part of limgrave fight me), haligtree in its entirety, and the number 1 imo The Shaded Castle.
Stormveil has the potential to be the best area at least for me, unfortunately 9 out of 10 times I invade it's always people near the boss room so the entire area is never played. 1 year ago I'd get invasions all across stormveil, now it's always the same thing and half the times you don't even get to fight because you spawn as they pass the fog wall. It's a shame really, best area in all souls games in terms of level design for invasions.
When i go to low lvl i usually play themed/funny builds with not so strong stuff and it s a lot of fun you can make the invasion enjoyable for everyone most of the time. however i always have strong twink options in my inventory for really OL spammy summons or twinks and just adapt to what i fight. I would swap back to my fun setup when the host is alone. I also like to lure invaders into 1v1 and wreck hard twinks ego ^^ it s a lot of fun most of the time, you can even often help hosts when they look really clueless, sharing some crab or showing secrets ^^
Dragon halberd, Poker and Antspur are great over-leveled phantom tools. Dragon halbered is technically limgrave if you got lost. Maybe even a cold Clayman’s harpoon. Don’t even get me on a Reduvia rant.
Perhaps one con you didnt mention are the absurd number of people running moonveil. Not that its broken or anything, but build variety among the average low level players is probably very limited, and could get boring. Even though its accessible in the early game, how often do you see players running the flail? Or claws?
I have a carian knight level 36 build that has a range of abilities and I do exactly as you describe. "Vibe Matching" should be this guys name lol. I can be nice and run the sword and board standard cosplay or I can pull out the night maidens mist and melt health bars. (NMM is crazy at low levels people. Use responsibly.)

When the game came out one of my friends wanted me to mule his items for him and in exchange he duped like all the good fully upgraded weapons and all that like 3-5 times and gave them to me and I deleted that character because I didn’t think I wanted so many characters. I regret it to this day
I have two 125 characters >.> honestly i get most invasions at 200. Clearly there are more people at lower levels. But 200 os where a lot of builds shine.
Low level is the only time the game feels remotely well balanced imo, outside of busted shit like Dragon Halberd - that's not even twinking, it's in one of the starter areas, it's just broken. The only real twinking in ER is rot below level 40 or so imo because people literally can't cure it and maybe the spark aromatics. A lot of invaders crutched on that stuff when I did taunter's tongue. Ironically, the worst players are at level 200 and above, so I never felt bad for invading at low level. I like low level because it's less spammy, stamina actually matters, damage is more reasonable, you generally only have access to "basic" weapons, low poise armour sets, etc. I really wish more people dueled at low level tbh but arena is dead below meta, before I quit playing I had to resort to hosting myself to get my PvP fix. The biggest thing that spoils low level invasions is how badly downscaling works, especially since so many people dust off their level 279 characters to play with their friends. It sucks to get insta-deleted by Comet when it takes about 10 hits to kill them. Some people think they "have to" invade at meta but there's nothing wrong with low level or whatever other level you find fun.
Honestly, love low lvs. Done it since ds1, and as you say, there are LOTS of invasions, plus you're granted to meet people naturally playing the game instead of witting yhere expecting people. Personally, try to host (with blue cause they put that ring on knowing pvp) in Storm and Weeping since they are great areas when i do kill some enemies that are one time spawn. I will reload the data so they are back and gives more backup for invader. Will admit, this lv will see a lot of new invaders not quite knowing what to do and even go in swinging at you no strategy. Deapite say for Lunaria, the lobsyers are in plain sight behind them and they juat charge and attack with no regard
I have a twink at sl30+3, mostly because I love helping people through Stormveil and nothing less than a full kit twink can face a twink invader at that level. Random statistic moment, at least 80% of the invaders I kill use a combination of rot pots, antspur, dragon halberd, poisonous mist, etc. Things that cannot be countered by people organically going through the game. I'm a good player, the invader is going to die if they fight me, but they can kill the host in a single dragon halberd spinning slash, which just sucks that the game allows you to do that. On the bright side, every now and then you will find another twink who is around your skill level and is not trying to cheese. These are the most fun fights in the game as both you and your opponent will be able to take a beating so fights won't resolve after a single mistake was made, you have to actually outplay your enemy. That being said, my favorite co-op experience so far is hosting NG+3 Stormveil on the sl30+3 twink. I make my own minigame, summon two coops from the start of the map and I have to keep them alive all the way until beating Godrick, if one of them dies then I will try to resummon them on the next grace, if both of them dies then I have to start over from the first grace. This is way harder than it sounds as a lot of trash mobs can one shot the average summoned phantom at that level, but this also makes it fun, especially when you are invaded as them running to the mobs is an incredibly effective strategy. The goal is to create a duplicate save file to reach NG+7 where only twinks can survive Stormveil.
Anti twink twink is one of the most fun twink. Their shock when you also have carian retaliation, flaming strike and antspur halstoc, rot pots and 99 boluses etc.
Dragon Halberd is disgusting but it's really the host's fault for not leveling vigor. At lvl 30 I have 1400+hp and it's absurd the number of people I encounter with less than 500
Under RL30 let's me run more interesting set ups with "more balanced" gear, currently doing a ninja character main hand ceastus offhand scimitar, poison is actually nice at this level and i don’t feel the need to use rot
“Match the vibe of your opponent “ Wise words. Try hards are the ones who ruin pvp then complain about pvp being sick because they can’t steam roll entire groups in one shot.
Your lv 25 is using things from limgrave because thats where you can go. My lv 60 has beat the game and can invade down to what? 54? Worst case is thats liurnia.
Another thing for low level invasions is to open up all the catacombs and explore every cave, as it gives you the most invasion ranges, same thing implies for areas you don’t like to invade if you don’t like the mountain tops than don’t go to the mountains tops.
Low level Dex builds have an edge over the builds as the radagon soreseal, Millicent prosthesis and prosthisis wearer talismans give 15 Dex so if you start as a samurai you’ll have 30 Dex without leveling it up allowing you to spend those points into vigor or any other stat you want
Sorry man, even lv 1 runs upgrade their weapons to 25. If you stopped at 25 and planned on invading there you are either ongbal or you upgraded your weapons and could no lo ger invade at that level.
You truly think limgrave is fun pvp? My man go get a therapist. Limgrave is where almost all the gankers live. The only worse omen is getting an i vade in fort gael.
One shotting people at low level is for losers. Why are you invading here then? If you are sitting here saying the low levels are bad and newbs, then why invade them? You want to invade people that dont know what theyre doing. Maybe invade me bro. Gotta admit i dont like you nor your opinions. Youre using grafted blade, what is that?
At lvl 30 I have 1400+hp and it's absurd the number of people I encounter with less than 500
You got a curved sword parry against the dual katana host
Yeah but I didn't follow through
18 lvl was extremely, extremely common in dark souls 1.
As long as you got it without your friend dropping it for you its fair game. Dont let this guy i fluence you.
You didn't want more than 5 characters meanwhile I'm actually considering 2 more builds which would leave me with 8 characters lol
I hang around 30, it's fun when you're not going for the OBVIOUS strong stuff
Yeah agree
Rl 30+3 - is fun for sure and the phantoms are health capped enough it doesnt feel to terribly OP
Under RL30 let's me run more interesting set ups with "more balanced" gear, currently doing a ninja character main hand ceastus offhand scimitar, poison is actually nice at this level and i don’t feel the need to use rot
I disagree to an extent w the OLP. Tbh I smoke all of them lol . Do I have to use consumables ? Sure. That’s why I keep sparks and rot pots.
Fashion is the only acceptable reason to twink I like the gelmir knight set I use it on a lot of my builds even low lvl ones
“Match the vibe of your opponent “
Wise words. Try hards are the ones who ruin pvp then complain about pvp being sick because they can’t steam roll entire groups in one shot.
I quit invading on my 60 because of just how often lvl 500 jerks tbag you after you got ganked by three teens with no girlfriends.
Sword parries are wonky in elden.
Just doing lvl 1 weapon +0 run now
Your lv 25 is using things from limgrave because thats where you can go. My lv 60 has beat the game and can invade down to what? 54? Worst case is thats liurnia.
Level 40 are better for newish players as you can try the basic strength/ dex builds but the name of the game for low level invasions are vigor
We all know level 90 solos 🤤 mages are doggy
Another thing for low level invasions is to open up all the catacombs and explore every cave, as it gives you the most invasion ranges, same thing implies for areas you don’t like to invade if you don’t like the mountain tops than don’t go to the mountains tops.
Low level Dex builds have an edge over the builds as the radagon soreseal, Millicent prosthesis and prosthisis wearer talismans give 15 Dex so if you start as a samurai you’ll have 30 Dex without leveling it up allowing you to spend those points into vigor or any other stat you want
But we all know twinks are doo doo

i dont like lymgrave
Sorry man, even lv 1 runs upgrade their weapons to 25. If you stopped at 25 and planned on invading there you are either ongbal or you upgraded your weapons and could no lo ger invade at that level.
And since you're not ongbal I don't think you had a +7 weapon.
You truly think limgrave is fun pvp? My man go get a therapist. Limgrave is where almost all the gankers live. The only worse omen is getting an i vade in fort gael.
To be fair, lingrave is the best map in the game.
Tell me how many times you've been ganked by 2 guys 3 times your level and one guy you might stand a chance against there then? Not enough clearly.
Vigor mind endurance strength dexterity intelligence faith arcane x 5? 40 levels youre getting on these level 25s? Give me a break. This guy is terrible and dont listen to his hypocrisy
You seriously gonna pull the “1v1 me bro”? 💀
Dont be butthurt it’s just a video 😢
Your doing things wrong no lightning infusion 🧌
I'm not that type Frog
