I would love to see the GG’s have more moments this year. Some of their “lack of moments” aren’t their fault tho if we’re thinking about the material the band gives them and their football schedule but the girls are soooo talented and CLEAN. 2022 was good but I’m definitely looking forward to more pop out moments from them. I don’t even bother learning these crabs names anymore because there’s too many every season. Plus most of them don’t make it back after the first season. I didn’t latch on to Asia & Lachanee until 13’.
THIS! This is basically how the Stingettes operate; we get a million different crabs one year and by next year more than half the crab class has been cut, little to no vets are returning, the sponsor who just got there has been fired, some of the girls are beefing, and there’s always an end of the year “incident” to finish off the season 🫠 It’s getting old at this point.
If Shunti can dominate the SWAC with 3 vets & 9 crabs in 19’; I see no reason why Jak can’t meet the same expectation. Especially with Shunti & her mama Kevia as coaches. Jak is in good hands y’all.

She was my pick for captain from start cause she’s very clean with the right control. I think Dr Ashley is about to bring a bright and tasteful flavor to the GGs this year. New sponsor, new captain, new team, new year. I think they bout to come out the gate stepping on the haters neck. And as a proud Alcornite and knowing how the GGs are , they won’t disappoint. Motion and the Divas are going to slay again and the dolls will be the dolls. Cohesis evaluation was spot on they have gone down a bit. Hope the Foxes have a great season as well. Y’all see one person lead on stingettes and yell out “captain”. Like let’s bffr. The stings had the hbcu dance world on lock in 2019. They could have still been reigning right now but it’s to much that goes on behind the scenes. Them cutting the whole 21’ was like they were trying to take away what previous stings/ sting captains had brought to the team or some. It’s GREAT that Nyah is back ( if she is even back ). She will keep the stingettes evolving in the right direction. The 22’ stings was a off year compared to the last 2-3 years. I’m looking forward to this new season and what the legendary ‘19 sting is bringing!
Kyre is the top choice for the dolls. She’s been so consistent throughout her years and I’m hoping she bring battle doll back🥰🥰 I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing Cavi, Haley or Naomi as tail thoooo.
I agree GGs really need to go back and dig through that countbook. I am sick of seeing more new counts being made when there are sooo many good old counts they just forgot all about. If you look at videos from 2012 and 2013 you will see so many counts that are real GG style. Kevia was definitely onto some when she was bringing back some old counts but I need more. I would also love for them to bring back that GG swag. Ally was really the last GG that had that raw GG swag to her in my opinion. After they started cleaning stuff up in 2016 they just never really looked the same. I get that the team has to elevate and adapt to modern times but I just know if they go back and dance like 2013 with better cohesiveness they would constantly be on top
I definitely agree with the old school counts being left out the current book. They have an entire catalog of new counts to last years. This is their 55th anniversary so hopefully we see more material from 2015-2015. He’ll even 2005-2008.

I go backwards and forwards cause both styles speak to me. However, I just haven’t been able to get into the Stingettes the last season. It was rough. Too many new crabs and the squad size is too much. I would rather see the Stingettes at 10 with 2 rows. 5 in the back, 4 in the front and the captain. Kinda sad for Dez but I am happy for the new Mother Laneia. It definitely was a hard choice but yes Laneia….. if u reading this….. please…. Make sure ur crabs are strong. Lastly, I actually can see the Divas in the top 5. We will see

I really wanted her as a 2 year captain and feel that she suppose to be from the beginning of it all due to the history of the captains being 2year capts. Motion do 8 counts all the time and most of the time. But when you great people will get petty and jealous. Stand routines increase creativity ... but of course not every team can execute them well and keep up with Motion
If Nyah is captain then she’s not the first Stingette to become captain after sitting out for an entire season. Lisa Porter crabbed in 1996-1997 and was captain in 1998-1999. Lisa did not dance in 1999-2000 but she returned under the leadership of Dr. O and she was captain for 2000-2001. Lisa then danced for a 5th season under captain Charity Belle (crab 99’) in 2001-2002.
To be honest, IF she is captain, I don’t mind Nyah being captain at all. Me personally, I wanted her as captain for the 2021-2022 season. However, I do think the timing is all wrong. They’re setting her up to be cyber-bullied. But I guess if it’s one thing being on the Stingettes teaches you it’s to have very thick skin 👀😂
Kyre is my choice as well. Cavi doesn’t seem ready quite yet and the counts always look like money on Kyre. I wouldn’t mind Haley but Kyre is the clear choice. I wanted her as captain last year!

Didn’t Amber Prickett 🐝 sit out almost all of 2016 ( her 3rd year) and come back as captain, a great one at that in 2017? I also believe KeKe sat out 2012 the year before she became a captain 🤷🏾♀️ Nyah is in good company!

@@humility561 I agree with some things.These are young women in college..it’s going to get complicated and/or messy but you have to have strong leadership within the organizations…based on Shadiamonds incoming call interview with Morgan, leadership needs some structure and elevation of guidelines because what goes into leadership will always trickle down (e.g. pinning the girls against each other, planting seeds of doubt, people buying their way into the organization) 🤷🏾♀️
That use to be my fave like Tina for the J-Settes. Now I’m sick of seeing both 🙄. The Dolls can put Traditional to rest for a while too. That closet is too deep to see the same thing every year or every other year. I wanna be able to miss seeing some of them 😂.

Dolls: Dolls held it down. I’m looking for songs to be brought back like “Forever My Lady” and “Stranger in My House”. I was happy they brought Skin I’m In and He Loves Me back these last couple of years. Hell I’ll even take “Nobody Supposed To Be Here” again. I miss those WOW sensual eye catching moments to slower songs that left a mark. More upbeat songs as well so my girls can jam (Bring back all together with fast songs) and a song book like Stamper and Gabby’s years then we good. I don’t mind seeing the same counts but a 10-12 new would do! As far as captain I’m fine with Kyre, Cavi, Haley, or Naomi. They each grab my attention and very milky doll. If Lauren not coming back Naomi as tail or Soji would be nice. And last but not least pleaseeee bring back the butt kick struts 😩 Stingettes: I was hoping to hear better news as far as structure with the girls and administration🤦🏽♀️ but okay cool. Keep the style I also don’t mind seeing the same counts when it comes to them. I’m rooting for them, I’m one of the ones that wanted Nyah as captain so I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt no it’s not fair who knows why they asked her to come back! I honestly am happy with the Nyah decision. I personally feel like they brought her back because the team needed more fresh material. To be honest, Nyah is up there with Brianni, when it comes to creativity. Zy can deliver, but I don’t know if she’s strong enough to give that edge as far as “Yo!! It really baffles me that people think that the j-settes was on top this year. From my observation THEY ONLY DANCED WITH VETS!!! basically the entire season. How does that make them the best. Nothing against what they gave, however, being fair compared to every other team, they get last place for me. Dance with them crabs and let's see if its the same hype.

@@victoriaa194 that would be amazing if she did. I have really been hoping the GG's were shown some love in the uniform dept. The dolls, black foxes, motion, seem to be ok for now. But orchesis, stingettes, divas, and a couple of the other teams really need some help.
I will say that they finished the second half of football season and the entire basketball season with most if not all of the crabs and they really did an amazing job overall. A few hiccups but no squad is perfect. I'm guessing you're not a regular watcher of the Settes lol no shade.

I agree with the panel the GG's have been lacking in the uniform department. The Stingettes need to get rid of their drama before they ruin their brand. Motion and the Divas are going to slay again and the dolls will be the dolls. Cohesis evaluation was spot on they have gone down a bit. Hope the Foxes have a great season as well. Anyone know how I can see more videos on KSU. This is great and very underrated squad.
Y’all see one person lead on stingettes and yell out “captain”. Like let’s bffr. The stings had the hbcu dance world on lock in 2019. They could have still been reigning right now but it’s to much that goes on behind the scenes. Them cutting the whole 21’ was like they were trying to take away what previous stings/ sting captains had brought to the team or some. It’s GREAT that Nyah is back ( if she is even back ). She will keep the stingettes evolving in the right direction. The 22’ stings was a off year compared to the last 2-3 years. I’m looking forward to this new season and what the legendary ‘19 sting is bringing!

I agree GGs really need to go back and dig through that countbook. I am sick of seeing more new counts being made when there are sooo many good old counts they just forgot all about. If you look at videos from 2012 and 2013 you will see so many counts that are real GG style. Kevia was definitely onto some when she was bringing back some old counts but I need more. I would also love for them to bring back that GG swag. Ally was really the last GG that had that raw GG swag to her in my opinion. After they started cleaning stuff up in 2016 they just never really looked the same. I get that the team has to elevate and adapt to modern times but I just know if they go back and dance like 2013 with better cohesiveness they would constantly be on top
I definitely agree with the old school counts being left out the current book. They have an entire catalog of new counts to last years. This is their 55th anniversary so hopefully we see more material from 2015-2015. He’ll even 2005-2008.
I loved this video. I can’t believe y’all took 2 hours of my life watching this but I had to catch the tea @Morgan. Like I am a Stingette/Jsette fan. I go backwards and forwards cause both styles speak to me. However, I just haven’t been able to get into the Stingettes the last season. It was rough. Too many new crabs and the squad size is too much. I would rather see the Stingettes at 10 with 2 rows. 5 in the back, 4 in the front and the captain.
Kinda sad for Dez but I am happy for the new Mother Laneia. It definitely was a hard choice but yes Laneia….. if u reading this….. please…. Make sure ur crabs are strong.

Motion do 8 counts all the time and most of the time. But when you great people will get petty and jealous. Stand routines increase creativity ... but of course not every team can execute them well and keep up with Motion
If Nyah is captain then she’s not the first Stingette to become captain after sitting out for an entire season. Lisa Porter crabbed in 1996-1997 and was captain in 1998-1999. Lisa did not dance in 1999-2000 but she returned under the leadership of Dr. O and she was captain for 2000-2001. Lisa then danced for a 5th season under captain Charity Belle (crab 99’) in 2001-2002.
To be honest, IF she is captain, I don’t mind Nyah being captain at all. Me personally, I wanted her as captain for the 2021-2022 season. However, I do think the timing is all wrong. They’re setting her up to be cyber-bullied. But I guess if it’s one thing being on the Stingettes teaches you it’s to have very thick skin 👀😂

Dolls held it down. I’m looking for songs to be brought back like “Forever My Lady” and “Stranger in My House”. I was happy they brought Skin I’m In and He Loves Me back these last couple of years. Hell I’ll even take “Nobody Supposed To Be Here” again. I miss those WOW sensual eye catching moments to slower songs that left a mark. More upbeat songs as well so my girls can jam (Bring back all together with fast songs) and a song book like Stamper and Gabby’s years then we good. I don’t mind seeing the same counts but a 10-12 new would do! As far as captain I’m fine with Kyre, Cavi, Haley, or Naomi. They each grab my attention and very milky doll. If Lauren not coming back Naomi as tail or Soji would be nice. And last but not least pleaseeee bring back the butt kick struts 😩

I was hoping to hear better news as far as structure with the girls and administration🤦🏽♀️ but okay cool. Keep the style I also don’t mind seeing the same counts when it comes to them. I’m rooting for them, I’m one of the ones that wanted Nyah as captain so I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt no it’s not fair who knows why they asked her to come back! So hopefully it’s a good season for her if it’s true and praying she don’t get any hate from ppl during the season. I miss the slogan “Every girl’s dream, Every man’s fantasy.” Like whyyyy did they change that? Lol okay whateva but I miss the sensuality and sex appeal from them, very adult-ish but I guess. I honestly am happy with the Nyah decision. I personally feel like they brought her back because the team needed more fresh material. To be honest, Nyah is up there with Brianni, when it comes to creativity. Zy can deliver, but I don’t know if she’s strong enough to give that edge as far as “Yo!! It really baffles me that people think that the j-settes was on top this year. From my observation THEY ONLY DANCED WITH VETS!!! basically the entire season. How does that make them the best. Nothing against what they gave, however, being fair compared to every other team, they get last place for me. Dance with them crabs and let's see if its the same hype.

@@MorganDidThat if you felt hit by my comment just say that 😂😂 I said "people". But while I have your attention, can you address the very generous donation Ms. D gave the j settes for uniforms. I wonder if she'll continue that trend across other teams. That would be really nice of her. Or other people should take note to help the girls.

@@victoriaa194 that would be amazing if she did. I have really been hoping the GG's were shown some love in the uniform dept. The dolls, black foxes, motion, seem to be ok for now. But orchesis, stingettes, divas, and a couple of the other teams really need some help.
I will say that they finished the second half of football season and the entire basketball season with most if not all of the crabs and they really did an amazing job overall. A few hiccups but no squad is perfect. I'm guessing you're not a regular watcher of the Settes lol no shade.
